小型 高速 디젤機關의 排氣 排出物에 미치는 排氣 再循環率의 影響에 관한 實驗的 硏究

The effects of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) on the characteristics of exhaust emissions and specific fuel consumption have been investigated using an eight-cylinder, four cycle, direct injection diesel engine operating at several loads and speeds. The experiments in this study are conducted on the fixed fuel injection timing of 38 BTDC regardless of experimental conditions. In conclusion, it is found that NOx emission is markedly reduced with the drop of burnt gas temperature at high speeds and loads especially as the EGR rate increases, while the soot particulate rise, with EGR rate and load at a given engine speed, especially high loads. The reduction of exhaust emissions within the Korea heavy duty diesel engine emission standards can be roughly achieved by the optimal EGR rate without degrading the specific fuel consumption, based on the correlations between exhaust emissions.

Many countries are interested in CO₂ -It is greenhouse gas which causes global warming. -output reduction. Therefore, Many Researchers are interested in renewable energy development. Small hydro power is clean and renewable energy that does not discharge CO₂. Relatively high manufacturing cost by the complex structure of the turbine is the highest barrier for developing the small hydropower turbine. Therefore, a cross-flow turbine is adopted because of its simple structure and high possibility of applying to small hydropower. In this study, made experiment result in research that utilize Zhao relationship hydro turbine model about cross-flow turbine comparison target. The purpose of this study is the variation of the number of runner blade to improve the performance. Optimization of the turbine structure has been made by the analysis of the turbine performance with the variation of the number of runner blade using a commercial CFD code. The results show that the number of runner blade give considerable effect on the performance of the turbine.

The information of eye movement is used in various fields such as psychology, ophthalmology, physiology, rehabilitation medicine, web design, HMI(human-machine interface), and so on. Various devices to detect the eye movement have been developed but they are too expensive. The general methods of eye movement tracking are EOG(electro-oculograph), Purkinje image tracker, scleral search coil technique, and video-oculograph(VOG). The purpose of this study is to embody the algorithm which tracks the location of the gazing point at a pupil. Two kinds of location data were compared to track the gazing point. One is the reference points(infrared LEDs) which is effected from the globe. Another is the center point of the pupil which is gained with a CCD camera. The reference point was captured with the CCD camera and infrared lights which were not recognized by human eyes. Both of images which were thrown and were not thrown an infrared light on the globe were captured and saved. The reflected reference points were detected with the brightness difference between the two saved images. In conclusion, the circumcenter theory of a triangle was used to look for the center of the pupil. The location of the gazing point was relatively indicated with the each center of the pupil and the reference point.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of impurity level and fabrication processes on the strength, fracture toughness and fatigue resistance of 7075, 7050 and 7175 high strength aluminum forgings. It has been verified that plane strain fracture toughness and fatigue characteristics of a specially processed 7175S-T74 alloy is superior to a conventionally processed 7075-T6/T73, 7050-T74 and 7175-T74 alloys. These beneficial effects primarily arise from two view points, i.e., the effect of reducing the impurity level of iron and silicon has significantly diminished the size and volume fraction of second phase particles such as Al_7Cu₂Fe and Mg₂Si. Futher reduction of the amount of nonequilibrium second phase particles has been observed by applying a special fabrication process.
