        감마선 검출기를 위한 스펙트럼 분석 소프트웨어 개발

        NaI(Tl) 섬광 결정과 광전자 증배관를 결합한 형태의 감마선 검출기는 감도와 개발비용 면에서 우수하여 일반적으로 환경 감시용 검출기에 잘 활용된다. 본 연구에서는 보다 조작이 용이하고 다목적으로 활용할 수 있는 지능형 감마선 검출기와 연동되어 동위원소 자동인식이 가능한 분석 소프트웨어를 개발하였다. 개발된 소프트웨어는 크게 네트워크 인터페이스 모듈과 스펙트럼분석 모듈, 그리고 그래픽 유저 인터페이스 모듈의 세부분으로 나누어진다. 이중 핵심부분은 스펙트럼분석모듈로서 네트워크를 통해 수집된 신호로부터 해당 동위원소에 대한 에너지스펙트럼의 피크정보를 추출하고 이를 토대로 입력 동위원소의 종류를 판별해 내는 것이다. 일반적으로 채널과 에너지의 관계는 근사적으로 선형적인 함수관계가 있으므로 피크 정보를 정확히 얻어내면 해당 동위원소의 인식이 가능하다. 본 연구에서 개발된 피크 검출 알고리듬은 두 개의 피크를 가진 표준동위원소에 대한 라이브러리 구축 및 이를 기준으로 한 미지의 동위원소에 대한 자동인식을 수행하도록 개발되었다. 대상 하드웨어인 뉴캐어메디컬시스템의 GammaPro 1410을 사용하여 연동 실험을 수행한 결과 하나의 미지의 선원에 대한 인식률을 측정할때 1% 이내의 피크 검출오차를 기록하였다. 또한 효율적인 네트워크 연동모듈의 설계를 통하여 세계 수준인 200K CPS의 데이터 처리속도를 달성하였다. 감마선 검출기와 본 소프트웨어에 더하여 선량분석 알고리듬에 대한 개발이 이어진다면 실시간 지능형 검출시스템으로서 의료기관 및 발전소, 연구시설 등 폭넓은 분야에 활용될 것으로 기대된다. We developed an analysis software that automatically detects incoming isotopes for multi-purpose gamma- ray detectors. The software is divided into three major parts; Network Interface Module (NIM), Spectrum Analysis Module (SAM), and Graphic User Interface Module (GUIM). The main part is SAM that extracts peak information of energy spectrum from the collected data through network and identifies the isotopes by comparing the peaks with pre-calibrated libraries. The proposed peak detection algorithm was utilized to construct libraries of standard isotopes with two peaks and to identify the unknown isotope with the constructed libraries. We tested the software by using GammaPro1410 detector developed by NuCare Medical Systems. The results showed that NIM performed 200K counts per seconds and the most isotopes tested were correctly recognized within 1% error range when only a single unknown isotope was used for detection test. The software is expected to be used for radiation monitoring in various applications such as hospitals, power plants, and research facilities etc.

        광장 정치와 집회 유튜버의 활동 : 2019년 태극기 집회 참여관찰을 통해 본 유튜버의 역할과 정체성

        This study focused on the role of YouTuber during the Taegukgi (South Korean national flag) rallies in South Korea in 2019. As YouTubers insist on replacing traditional media, communication of the politics of public space is more active than ever. Under this circumstance, there is a need to investigate the content produced by YouTubers and their messages and actions with media rituals. The purpose of this study is threefold: (1) explore the role of YouTubers in Taegukgi rallies, referred to as square politics, through participatory observation, (2) examine the political context of the activities mobilized in part voluntarily by YouTubers, and partly by political parties through in-depth interviews, and (3) understand the process of the YouTubers’ identity formation and its meaning. Ever since YouTube emerged as an innovative platform for posting and communicating with online video over ten years ago, it has replaced the legacy media and became a significant vehicle representing political views. Based on this current media environment, YouTubers have simply discarded the legacy media’s reports and came to have a firm belief that YouTube would play a significant role in delivering the growing voices of the protesters in square politics. The complexity of contemporary politics in the South Korean society ― the turmoil after democratization, around severe polarization of political powers ― has caused the street YouTubers, mostly comprising the Korean older generation to initiate what they believed as patriotic activism. The YouTubers has kept consistently appealing ‘the fraud of presidential impeachment’. Such YouTubers’ activities have escalated wrath and anger against the legacy media, accused of the left-wing. The religious narrative of ‘immaculate Park Geun-hye’ has become the common feeling among themselves. The right-wing politicians including the ‘Our Republican Party’ has aggressively collaborated with the YouTubers. Moreover, they ‘ten million innocence movement’ and kept insisting ‘the impeachment of disgraced former president Park’ to accelerate not only the rally but also their political project across the nation. To be specific, based on dedicated support from the party, these YouTubers have been empowered to report in terms of the live broadcasts on demand of audiences at the front line of the rally. YouTubers have changed the way people consume news content, more importantly getting involved in the production related to Taegukgi rally as the only way to deliver the growing truth that they believed. In conclusion, the YouTubers in the square have played a key role in propagating content tailored to the needs of their favorable viewers as well as the YouTubers themselves and consolidated their identities. With the possibility of political voices gathering in the square after the pandemic ahead of the 2022 presidential election, it is meaningful to examine the contents and reasons driving the political activities of YouTubers at the square.

        혼틈당선: 윤석열과 보수 재집권 분투 : 〈Under the Cover of Chaos〉를 통해 본 제20대 대통령 선거 국면 분석

        Under the Cover of Chaos: Trump and the Battle for the American Right(2018), Lawrence Grossberg uses conjunctural analysis to diagnose the rise of Donald Trump and the new conservative discursive order in American society. Alongside his argument for the need for political intervention at the abstract level, he proposes three analytical terrains as concrete practices of conjunctural analysis. First, reading complex contexts politically in a war of positions; second, mapping the topography of constituted problems in a problem space; and third, articulating with the problem space by appropriating Antonio Gramscis organic crisis. This is a practice of conjunctural thinking as envisioned by Stuart Hall. Specifically, war of position reads the discursive politics of post-war conservative and progressive movements, as well as the economy and culture - particularly as they are discussed on social media. Accordingly, how anxiety and hyperactivity, isolation and expulsion, and individualistic society reminiscent of Nazism are connected in the problem space dimension, and how crisis of coordination and relationships, crisis of authority (knowledge), and crisis of social control are connected in the organic crisis dimension. Therefore, this study focuses on discourse politics of Korea‘s 20th presidential election process by using the specific model of conjunctural analysis proposed by Grossberg. It goes beyond abstract diagnosis by pointing to the longer-term epoch context, the concepts of problem space, and war of positions. As a critical and analytical discussion at the practical level, political speech, economic, and cultural discourse at the war of positions level is identified. This includes political campaign rhetoric, media coverage, and audience reaction(in the context of nowadays, replacing ’readers’ contributions‘ with ’online community responses‘), as proposed in Stuart Halls Policing the Crisis(1978). Furthermore, it reads the phenomenon of anxiety promotion, isolation and deconstruction in youth and gender discourse, which have emerged in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, as contextualized in problem space, as a conjunction with the crisis. It characterizes Yoon Suk Yeol and South Koreas conservative political résime strategies for retaking power as largely based on the establishment of law and order over fairness and the dismantling of social trust. In a reality where the political, economic, and cultural impacts of the rise of Trump and the establishment of a neo-conservative order in the United States are still looming, it is necessary to read and intervene as a public intellectual in the current situation where a new discursive order is emerging beyond the change of political forces in Korean society.

        오픈소스 SPICE 기반의 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 클라이언트 UI/UX 개발

        모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅은 단순히 클라우드 개념이 모바일로 확장된 것이 아니라, 스마트폰을 포함한 모든 이동형 디바이스에서 클라우드 기술을 사용하여 원하는 서비스를 시간과 공간의 제약 없이 사용할 수 있는 기술을 의미한다. 현재 클라우드 컴퓨팅 관련된 다양한 연구가 진행 중이지만, 실제 사용자가 사용하는 인터페이스에 대한 연구가 미비하다. 본 논문의 특징 및 기여도는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기존의 SPICE에서 제공되던 인터페이스들과 달리 UX를 고려한 UI를 개발한다. 둘째, 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 클라이언트에서 키보드를 사용할 때 두 버튼이상을 동시에 누르는 인터페이스를 한 번의 인터페이스로 통합한다. 셋째, 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 클라이언트에 적합한 마우스인터페이스를 개발한다. 넷째, 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 클라이언트에서 모서리부분은 버튼/파일/폴더 클릭 시 어려움을 해결한다. 마지막으로, 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 클라이언트에서 마우스 스크롤기능이 모바일의 음향버튼을 이용하여 조작하던 것을 터치스크린 내 인터페이스를 생성하여 조작이 가능하도록 한다. 개발된 시스템의 성능평가는 다음과 같은 결과들을 보여 주었다. 모바일 환경에서 사용자가 마우스 인터페이스의 크기가 커지고 고정되어서 입력하기 편하게 되었다. 그리고 키보드의 복합키를 단축키의 형태로 제공하여 3-6단계의 입력이 1단계의 입력으로 간단해져서, 사용자가 복합키와 마우스입력이 간단해졌다. Mobile cloud computing (MCC) is not just extensions of cloud concepts into mobile environments, but the service technologies that all mobile devices including smartphone can use the desired services by using cloud technology without the constraints of time and space. Currently, a lot of works on mobile cloud computing have been actively researching, whereas user interfaces are not so much researched. The main features and contributions of this paper are as follows. First, develop UI considering UX that is different from conventional interfaces supported by SPICE. Second, combine two button interface into one button interface when keyboard is used in mobile cloud computing clients. Third, develop a mouse interface suitable for mobile cloud computing clients. Fourth, in mobile cloud computing client, solve a problem that the selection of button/files/folder has at the corner. Finally, in mobile cloud computing clients we change mouse scroll mapping functions from volume button to scroll interface in touch-screen. The results of performance evaluation shows that users can input easily with the increased and fixed mouse interface. Since shortcut keys instead of the complex button keys of keyboard are provided, the input with 3-6 steps is reduced into 1 step, which can simply support complex keys and mouse input for users.
