Thick-walled cylinder with high pressure have had wide application in the armament industry. In the thick-walled cylinder, fatigue crack is generated at inner radius and developed toward the outer radius. To prevent generation of fatigue crack, the autofrettage process had been used. The compressive residual stress induced by the autofrettage process extends loading pressure and fatigue life of the thick-walled cylinder. In this study, the residual stress of single and compound cylinder by the autofrettage process was evaluated. The analytical compressive residual stress of single cylinder was good agreement with experimental result at inner radius. The analysis on the residual stress of compound cylinder was conducted. The compressive residual stress at inner radius was increased with the overstrain level. And fatigue life of the compound cylinder with initial crack was evaluated. The considered initial crack shape was straight and semi-elliptical. The fatigue life was extended with the overstrain level. The fatigue life of the compound cylinder with semi-elliptical crack was longer than straight crack. The suitable way to extend fatigue life of the compound cylinder was proposed.

Ion-selective poly(vinyl chloride)(PVC) membrane electrodes for the determination of the calcium antagonist verapamil and its pharmaceutical preparations were described. Verapamil-superchrome garnet Y(SGY), lumogallion(LG), acid red 97(AR97), Dragendorff(DD) and Meyer reagent ion pairs were inverstigated as an electroactive compound for membrane electrode. Stable potentiometric response was obtained with azo dye at pH 6.5-4.0 and with DD, and Meyer reagent at pH 6.5-3.0. The best plasticizer was 49w/w% 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether for azo dye, and 65.3w/w% tri(n-butyl) citrate for DD and Meyer reagent. Potentiometric response slopes of optimized membrane electrodes based on SGY, LG, AR97, DD, and Meyer complex for verapamil were 52.49, 54.88, 50.81, 54.13 and 49.31 mV/dec., respectively. Lower limits of linear range were 1.0X106M for SGY, LG, and AR97, while those for DD and Meyer reagent were 4X10-6M. Detection limits for all these electrodes were 1X10-5M, 4X10-6M, 1.8X10-6M, 8X10-7M, and 1X10-6M with relative standard deviation of 2.56, 3.6, 3.96, 2.56, 3.20%, respectively.

In this study, the safety of the rack structure was evaluated through seismic analysis considering fluid-structure interaction. The rack structure was sunk under water. So, rack structure was influenced by water. The fluid-structure interaction can be specified in terms of hydrodynamic effect which is defined as added mass per unit length in ANSYS 10.0. Modal analysis and seismic analysis using the Floor Response Spectrum(FRS) was carried out under Operating Basis Earthquake(OBE) and Safe Shutdown Earthquake(SSE) conditions. The fluid-structure interaction effect and safety of rack structure were investigated using ANSYS10.0.

PVC membrane electrodes based on the lipophilic neutral carrier, dibenzo-18-crown-6, cyclic oligomers of tert-butylphenol-formaldehyde condensates, calix[4]arenes as the active sensors for verapamil have been prepared and tested in a variety of plasticizers. At pH 5.0, the electrode exhibits a Nernstian response in the range of 1X10-2 ~ 5X10-5M verapamil with a slope of 49.1 +/- 0.5mV per concentration decade. The electrode constructed in this work can be used continuously for at least 1 month before any damage to the membrane occurs. And the analysis of the local anesthetic amine, which are good to select a specific compound in a mixed solution, were also accomplished by using of another neutral carrier, a DB18C6, for comparing with calix[4]arene.
태권도 옆차기 동작의 동력학해석과 충격해석에 관한 연구

Taekwondo is a martial art form and sport that uses the hands and foot for attack and defense. Taekwondo basic motion is composed of the breaking, competition and poomsea motion. In the side kick among the competition motion, the impact force is larger than other kinds of kicks. The side kick with the front foot can be made in two steps. In the first step, the front foot is stretched forward from back stance free-fighting position. For the second step, the rear foot is followed simultaneously. Then, the kick is executed while entire body weight rests on the rear foot. In this paper, impact analysis of the human model for hitting posture is carried out. The ADAMS/LifeMOD is used in hitting modeling and simulation. The simulation model creates the human model to hit the opponent. As the results, the dynamic analysis of human muscle were presented.
