In this paper a dispatching rule, $D^{*}$, for AGV operations in automated manufacturing system is proposed to improve the performance measures. And the algorithm is compared with existing heuristic rules via simulation to evaluate its capabilities. It is shown that the proposed rule enhances mean flow time, makespan and throughput, and avoids the locking phenominon which can be fatal to the operation of automated manufacturing systems.

Seventy-seven cases of metastatic bone tumors are analysed, which has been confirmed by operation or biopsy at Severance Hospital, Yonsei University College of Medicine. The results are follows. 1. Primary site of metastatic bone tumor: Bony metastatsis from carcinoma of gastrointestinal tract was most frequent and 17 cases(22.1%). Among them, stomach cancer was 10 cases (13.0%), hepatoma 6 cases (7.8%) and esophageal cancer 1 case (1.3%). Second order of metastasis was lung and uterine cervical cancer and each was 8 cases(10.4%). And then metastasis from breast cancer was 6 cases(7.8%). 2. Frequently involved skeletons of metastatic site: Breast, stomach, prostate and uterine cervical cancer were more frequently metastasized to axial skeletons such as spines, pelvis and ribs. And lung cancer and hepatoma were more frequently to skull, femur and rib. 3. Type of metastasis in radiographic classification: The order of frequency which showed osteoblastic or mixed type of metastas s was stomach (5 cases, 35.7%) breast (3 cases, 21.4%) prostate (2 cases, 14.3%) lung (2 cases, 14.3%) melanoma (1 case, 7.1%) and bladder (1 case 7.1%) cancer. The order of metastasis which showed osteolytic one was cervix (8 cases, 28.6%), lung (6 cases, 21.4%), stomach (5 cases, 17.9%), skin (4 cases, 14.3%), breast (3 cases 10.7%), kidney (1 case, 3.55%) cancers and melanoma (1 case 3.55%). Among them, cervix, liver, skin and renal cancer were purely osteolytic type. 4. Radiographic findings in detail of analysis: Most frequent radiographic features of metastatic bone tumor was diffuse scattering, mottled and ill-defined bony rarefaction. Those showed solitary localized osteolytic lesion were metastasis from cervix(2 cases), bladder(1 case), liver(1 case) and lung(1 case) cancer in decreasing order of frequency. Those showed multiple localized osteolytic lesion were metastasis from liver(caseses), cervix(3 cases), skin(2 cases), breast(2 cases), lung (1 case) and bladder(1 case) ancer. These analysis were only included by radiographically and pathologically proven cases. There should be more expected cases being included, if routine bone survey should be done for cancer patient with conjunction of proven in autopsy. Screening bone scanning, using radioisotope is more recommended for the early detection of meastatic lesion which was unable to detect on plain X-ray film.
자율,분산된 기계가공시스템의 제어 모델 및 운영 기술에 관한 연구

One of the difficulties in using the current Boolean-based information retrieval systems is that it is hard for a user, especially a novice, to formulate an effective Boolean query. One solution to this problem is to let the system formulate a query for a user from his relevance feedback documents. In this research, an intelligent query reformulation mechanism based on ID3 is proposed and the sensitivity of its retrieval effectiveness, i.e., recall, precision, and E-measure, to various input settings is analyzed. The parameters in the input settings is the number of relevant documents. Experiments conducted on the test set of Medlars revealed that the effectiveness of the proposed system is in fact sensitive to the number of the initial relevant documents. The case with two or more initial relevant documents outperformed the case with one initial relevant document with statistical significances. It is our conclusion that formulation of an effective query in the proposed system requires at least two relevant documents in its initial input set.
Knowledge-Based Approach for Computer-Aided Simulation Modeling

A computer-aided simulation modeling system has been developed to allow the automatic construction of complete discrete simulation models for queueing systems. Three types of knowledge are used in the specification and construction of a simulation modeling: Knowledge of queueing system, simulation modeling, and a target simulation language. This knowledge has been incorporated into the underlying rule base in the form of extraction and construction rule, and implemented via the expert system building tool, OPS5. This paper suggested a knowledge based approach for automatic programming to enable a user who lacks modeling knowledge and simulation language expertize to quickly build executable models.

This research is focused on the development of the performance measuring system for the supply chain. Although there are previous researches about this, they has the limit to measuring the performance. This is oriented that each measuring system deal with a certain level like strategic level, tactical level, or operational level of the supply chain. However, it is necessary to measure the performance in multiple levels collectively. A new performance measuring system using key performance indicators with integrating SCOR-Model(Supply Chain Operations Reference Model) with Balanced Scorecard(BSC) is proposed in this research. Since SCOR-Model and BSC are mainly dealt with strategic level and operational level, the proposed system can overcome the limit of previous researches. Then, this methodology is used to develop the real time performance measuring system.

When VCR is operated in the deck, tape navigates from S-Reel Table to T-Reel Table through the several posts and head drum. During the navigation, the position of tape is influenced by the several factors. And the variant of the position becomes the cause of unstable system. Through this study, we will find the factors which gives the big influenced in this system. And we will find the factors which should be mainly controlled in the VCR deck assembly. For the study, we will use the Multiple Linear regression analysis.
