Ba trào lưu sáng tác văn học ở Việt Nam trong hai thập niên đầu của thế kỷ 21
이반 국제언어문학회 2019 國際言語文學 Vol.- No.42
This research describes the three different types of trends on Vietnamese literature for 20 years in the 21st century. The first trend is about the history. The historical novels started in the 1980s also continued in the 21st century while the trend for short story had changed to the trend for long story. Many works including “An army giving rice to temple” written by Nguyen Xuan Khanh and “Eight Kings in Lee Dynasty” by Hoang Quoc Hai won Literary Awards and were also highly praised by readers. However, they were also criticized for itstheirover-emphasisonhistoricalholiness. The second trend is the works published for remembrance of the wars. The representative works are “Southeast Military Zone” by BinhCa and “Solider in the Southwest” by Trun Sy. These writers themselves served in the National Salvation Army against America and could inspire readers through the fact that their works were only written simply, honestly and subjectively after a 40 years period since the end ofthe war. The third trend regards the literature related with women. The new change occurring in 1980s in the 21th century is the appearance of women’s literature. Many woman writers including “the Endless Plains” by Nguyen Ngoc Tu appeared and the new works giving new insights about femininity were created like the statement saying that “since mankind evolved, women possess something in their bodies that can make a world flat. That is womb”.
