The purpose of this study was to find the relationship between standing posture biomechanics and physical fitness in the elderly. Physical fitness variables and postural variables for 227 (140 women and 87 men) elderly individuals were tested. Physical fitness tests (Korean Institute of Sports Science, 2012) included 3m sit, walk, and return, grip test, 30 second chair sit and stand, sit and reach, figure 8 walks, and 2 minute stationary march. Postural biomechanics variables included resting calcaneal stance position (RCSP), shoulder slope, pelvic slope, knee flexion angle, leg length difference, thoracic angle, and upper body slope. In statistical analysis, multiple regression was conducted by using stepwise selection method via SAS (version 9.2). Analysis for both men and women revealed significant relationships between physical fitness and age, upper body slope, knee flexion angle, leg length difference. Pelvic and thoracic angle were only related to figure 8 walking and sit and reach in women, while RCSP and shoulder slope had no relationship with any physical fitness variables.

The purpose of this study was to analyze bone mineral density according to major amongst 238 female college students in a major metropolitan area. The DEXA-3000 (Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry, Osteosys, Corea) was utilized to calculate bone mineral density at the wrist(471) and calcaneus(481). T-scores of at least -1.00 or above classified as normal levels of bone mineral density, below -1.00 to -2.5 were categorized as osteopenic, -2.50 to -2.99 was mildly osteoperotic and -3.00 and below was severly osteoperotic. Statistical analysis was performed with the GLM Procedure and tukey for post-hoc to analyze the four different categories of bone mineral density as well as the five different categoriesof college students. At the wrist, only 27.4% of students possessed normal levels of bone mineral density, while 55.7% were osteopenic, 10.19% had mild osteoperosis, and 6.65% has severe osteoperosis. At the calcaneus. 86.6% of students had normal levels of bone mineral density, 13.38% were osteopenic, 11.89% had mild osteoperosis, and 0.64% had severe osteoperosis. Physical education majors had the highest levels of bone mineral density at the wrist and calcaneus, while dance majors were the lowest. There were no significantdifferences in bone mineral density at the right and left side in either the wrist or calcaneus. Future studies will evaluate the effects of daily activities, eating habits, body composition, and exercise on body composition in addition to major.
초등학생 대상 진로상담프로그램의 중재변인별 효과에 대한 메타분석

이 연구는 최근 10년 동안 초등학생을 대상으로 실시된 진로상담프로그램에 관한 메타분석을 통해 종합적 분석을 해보고, 진로상담프로그램의 중재변인별 효과에 대한 메타분석을 하는 데 목적이 있다. 선정된 50편의 논문에서 95개의 효과크기를 계산하였으며, 초등학생대상 진로상담프로그램의 전체 평균효과와 중재변인별 평균효과크기를 알아보았다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 95개의 효과크기를 종합한 결과 초등학생대상 진로상담프로그램의 평균효과크기는 .899이며, 이는 Cohen이 제시한 효과크기의 해석 기준으로 볼 때 큰 효과크기라 할 수 있다. 둘째, 중재변인별 효과크기에서 대상 학년별 평균효과 크기가 큰 학년은 6학년으로 1.087의 수치를 보였다. 회기수별 평균효과크기는 11~14회기일 때가 1.057로 가장 큰 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 회기시간별로는 60분일 때 효과크기가 가장 컸다. 참가인 원수별 평균효과크기는 연구대상인원수가 15명 이하일 때 효과크기가 가장 크게 나타났다. 마지막으로 연구결과에 대해 논의하고 후속연구에 대해 제언하였다. The purpose of this study was to analyze career counseling programs which were conducted actively for 10 years for elementary school students through the meta-analysis comprehensively, and to meta-analyze the average effect size according to mediation variables of career counseling programs for elementary school students. This study calculated effect size of selected 50 theses and examined 95 average effects of total career counseling programs for elementary school students, the average effect size according to mediation variables of career counseling programs. The analysis results of this study findings were as follows. First, the average effect size of career counseling programs for elementary school students was. 899 after this study analyzed 95 effect sizes. It could be said to be a big average effect size when it was looked according to the criteria which Cohen suggested. Second, in the average effect size as each grade among mediation variables, high average effect size was as 1.087 in the 6th grade. It showed that in the average effect size as terms, from 11th terms to 14th terms were the highest as 1.057. In the time of terms, the most effect time was over 60 minutes as 2.690. These result were discussed based on the previous findings and the future research.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of shoe type on plantar pressure distribution. Pedar-X system (Novel, Germany) was used to measure plantar pressure according to shoe type. Six types of shoes were tested: flip flops, canvas shoes, running shoes, walking shoes with an elevated forefoot, walking shoes with an elevated middle foot, and five-toed shoes. The subjects were ten first-year female university students. The statistical analysis was carried out using the SAS 9.1.2 package, specifically ANOVA, and Tukey for the post hoc. Flip flops and canvas shoes had a relatively large area while walking, which suggests that they might not allow dorsiflexion. Walking shoes with an elevated mid foot had the highest peak pressure, and mean pressure in the mid foot. This indicates that this kind of shoe might recruit the muscles connected to the mid foot most. Five-toed shoes had higher area, mean pressure, and peak pressure than bare feet. These results indicates that this kind of shoe recruits more muscles in the toes and might therefore be able to develop the toe muscles more than other types of shoes.
