        As memory has emerged as a key subject for uncovering interpretations of historical events and social practices, scholarly interest in memory and history has been increased in recent years. Collective and personal memory, especially official memory and countermemory have only recently begun to engage with feminist theoretical analyses of gender, sexuality, race, nation, and class. As part of the ongoing argument between history and memory, Asian American literature focuses on how marginalized groups attempt to maintain at the center of official memory what the dominant group would often like to forget. This paper apprpaches memory and cultural politics in the construction of Korean American woman's identity in Dictee and Comfort Woman. Theresa Hak Kyung Cha and Nora Okja Keller seek to further projects of empowerment and differentiation through the use of memory as a counter-discursive strategy in their texts. This cultural politics of ethnicity and gender identity in these texts unravels the many complex layers of American ethnic experience. In Dictee and Comfort Woman. the marginalized Korean American women are reconstituted as the memory-subjects by inscribing their place in hisory and by making a space to dis-place history. Historically Korean Americans, like other Asian Americans, have been materially and discursively excluded from the mainstream of the U. S. American life. Korean American women, however, are placed in a more complicated situaltion, in the sense that they not only have to struggle with trauma of colonial experiences and anti-colonial national world, but also in the new western world, they have to assimilate in order to survive. With female perspective, Cha and Keller unveil the colonized history of their homeland as well as the immigrant history of Koreans in America which has been effaced by dominated discourse. Thus Cha and Keller succeed in making available the experience of trauma from multiple perspectives and their narratives necessarily privilege individual memory as a reliable evidentiary source.

      • 유아 컴퓨터 교육에 대한 연구 : 유아교사를 대상으로

        The purpose of this study was to be of use to more effective computer education activities, by investigating how many computer, interface and software were currently possessed by the child education institutions, by examining what kind of educational activities were performed about computer, and by grasping how educational programs were utilized. For Implementing the purpose, the following research questions were posed: 1. What's the actual condition of computer, interface and software owned by the child education institutions? 2. What's the educational computer activities offered by the child education institutions? : (1) educational activities in Terms of Program utilization, (2) young children's educational activities in computer, and (3) teacher's role of computer education. The questionnaire method was employed. The collected data were handled with frequency analysis to find out the actual possession of computer and teachers general characteristics. The items were prepared on Likert scale, on the basis of full-five point. A higher weighted value was interpreted as a stronger affirmation to the item. As seen so far, most of the child education institutions continued to do computer activities without buying sufficient teaching materials. Accordingly, the educational activities about computer shall be correctly understood by carefully reviewing teaching materials or books concerned to young children's use of computer, and teacher education must be offered more broadly to make up for deficiencies.

      • GAITRite 시스템을 이용한 건강한 노인의 시 공간적 보행변수 분석

        본 연구는 60대 노인들의 보행패턴을 분석하기 위하여 GAITRite 보행분석기를 이용하여 20대와 비교하여 노화에 따른 보행패턴 변화를 알아보고, 보행 장애가 없는 노인들의 보행 자료를 통해 근골격계 및 노인성 질환에 따른 보행문제를 임상적 평가수단으로 활용하여 하지분절의 역학적 구조 및 발과 보행에 관한 기초자료를 제공하는데 연구목적이 있다. 본 연구의 결과로 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있다. 첫째, 60대 노인의 보행특징은 시간적 변수에서는 성별에서 차이가 없으며, 공간적 변수에서는 성별에서 보장, 활보장, 양뒤꿈치 기저면에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 60대는 20대에 비해 양하지 지지기 비율이 길어, 입각기 비율이 길어지고, 유각기는 짧아 보행속도가 느리며, 분당 걸음수도 느린 특징을 나타냈으며, 보장과 활보장은 짧으며, 토아웃각이 큰 특징을 나타냈다.

        ‘교육과학기술부 u-러닝 연구학교’ 교원의 관심도 분석 : 관심중심수용모형(CBAM)을 통해 본 사례 연구

        교육과학기술부의 u-러닝 연구학교는 교육정보화 사업 중 가장 앞선 부분의 하나로 평가받고 있다. 교육현장에서는 이러한 정책을 어떻게 수용하고 실천하고 있는지를 알아보기 위하여, u-러닝 연구학교인 ‘희망’초등학교(가칭)와 ‘소망’중학교(가칭) 교원의 관심도를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여, 관심중심수용모형(concerns-based adoption model: CBAM)에 근거하여 관심단계 설문지(stages of concerns questionnaire)를 사용했으며 개방형 질문과 비형식적 인터뷰를 보조적으로 활용하였다. 연구결과에 따르면, 첫째 희망초는 변화의 초기에 나타나는 관심단계 분포도를 보였다. 둘째, 소망중은 변화의 중기와 후기에 해당되는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 희망초과 소망중의 이러한 차이는 희망초가 올해 새로운 연구 과제를 시도했기 때문인 것으로 보인다. 넷째, 두학교 모두 교원의 직위, 연구학교 관련 업무, 교육경력에 따라 다양한 관심단계 분포도를 나타냈다. 마지막으로, 변화가 진전될수록 ‘정보’에 대한 관심이 줄어드는 것이 일반적인 현상이나, 두 학교 모두 변화가 일정 수준 이상 진전되었음에도 불구하고 u-러닝에 대한 ‘정보’ 측면의 관심은 줄어들지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 두 학교는 u-러닝 연구학교 운영을 통해 긍정적인 변화의 과정을 겪고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 본 연구를 통해 첫째 연구학교 3년차를 맞이한 시점의 학교 모습을 확인할 수 있었고, 둘째 CBAM이 교육 현장에서 정보통신기술의 확산 과정을 이해할 수 있는 유용한 틀로 활용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has initiated u-learning pilot schools approximately five years ago. These projects entailed a great deal of planning and investment from everyone involved. The teachers at these schools were faced with significant challenges of teaching students to use the new technological cyber-home learning system. Using the interest-based adoption model (CBAM) of change, this study investigated the interests of teachers regarding implementation of u-learning at pilot schools. The results show that high information stage concerns were prevalent at two pilot schools, even though it had been 3 years since the project was initiated. Futhermore, there were significant differences in the concerns of teachers across the years of teaching experience and the task which was assigned to them. Implications from the study are that a sustained and targeted professional development addressing the different interests of teachers are needed in order to fully integrate u-learning in theses schools.

        한국어-영어/일본어-영어 교차언어정보검색에서 클러스터 분석을 통한 성능 향상

        This paper presents a method to implicitly resolve ambiguities using dynamic incremental clustering in Korean-to-English and Japanese-to-English cross-language information retrieval (CLIR). The main objective of this paper shows that document clusters can effectively resolve the ambiguities tremendously increased in translated queries as well as take into account the context of all the terms in a document. In the framework we propose, a query in Korean/Japanese is first translated into English by looking up bilingual dictionaries, then documents are retrieved for the translated query terms based on the vector space retrieval model or the probabilistic retrieval model. For the top-ranked retrieved documents, query-oriented document clusters are incrementally created and the weight of each retrieved document is re-calculated by using the clusters. In the experiment based on TREC test collection, our method achieved 39.41% and 36.79% improvement for translated queries without ambiguity resolution in Korean-to-English CLIR, and 17.89% and 30.46% improvements in Japanese-to-English CLIR, on the vector space retrieval and on the probabilistic retrieval, respectively. Our method achieved 12.30% improvements for all translation queries, compared with blind feedback in Korean-to-English CLIR. These results indicate that cluster analysis help to resolve ambiguity. 본 논문에서는 교차언어정보검색에서 점진적 클러스터링을 통해서 모호성을 묵시적으로 해소하는 방법을 제안한다. 연구 목적은 질의 번역에서 모호성이 크게 증가된 상태에서 문서 클러스터가 문서 문맥 역할과 모호성 해소 역할을 하는지를 보고자 하는 것이다. 제안하는 방법은 한국어/일본어 질의를 사전을 이용하여 영어로 번역을 하고, 번역된 영어 질의에 대해서 벡터공간검색모델이나 확률검색모델에 의해서 문서를 검색한다. 검색된 문서의 순위대로 점진적 클러스터를 동적으로 생성하고, 이 클러스터 정보를 질의에 반영해서 문서의 순위를 다시 결정하는 것이다. TREC 테스트컬렉션을 이용한 실험에서 모호성 해소를 하지 않은 질의에 대해서, 제안한 방법은 한국어-영어 교차언어정보검색에서는 벡터공간검색모델에서 39.41%의 성능향상, 확률검색모델에서 36.79%의 성능향상을 보였다. 일-영 교차언어정보검색에서는 각각 17.89%와 30.46%의 성능향상을 보였다. 적합성 피드백 방법과의 비교에서는 모호성 해소를 하지 않은 경우 확률검색모델에서 12.30%의 성능향상을 보였다. 이를 통해, 클러스터 분석은 질의 모호성 해소에 도움을 주어서 검색성능 향상에 기여하였음을 알 수 있다.

        카리브계 미국 흑인여성의 포스트식민적 글쓰기 - 자메티카 킨케이드의『어느 작은 섬』과『루시』

        The exploration of the multiple identities of the Caribbean women is intrinsic to the narratives of Jamaica Kincaid whose migration allows internal critiques of new inscriptions of colonial homeland and imperial new land in a variety of cultural contexts. This study considers the postcolonial writing of Kincaid in A Small Place and Lucy, centering on race, class, and gender/sexuality of female subjectivity of the Caribbean diaspora. A Small Place is a fictitious cultural essay, exploring tourist culture and Caribbean identity more polemically. Its main concern is the articulation of the effects of colonialism on subjectivity, specially on female subjectivity in the Caribbean area. As the narrator/writer describes to a tourist of the Antigua area, to invoke and reverse the discourse of white racism, with a critical insider/outsider perspectives on a Caribbean slave society and their legacy on contemporaries, she rejects almost everything that had negative influence on Antigua and its inhabitants. The narrator expresses indignation at not only the white tourists and colonizers but also her fellow Antiguans. With the purpose to explain the intricate situation of Antigua to a European or American audience in A Small Place, the narrator expresses the most elaborate analysis of an intricate cultural-political situation of Antigua, providing a postcolonial feminist definition of the (dis-)identity of a “third world” black woman. Lucy, an autobiographical text based on Kincaid's early experiences as a nanny for a well-to-do family in the U. S. A. dramatizes class, race, and gender dynamics. As a young black woman from a working class with colonial background, Lucy comes to reach a profound awareness that gender relations are mediated by race and class hierarchies. Firstly, the text presents conflicted mother-daughter relationship, focussing on Lucy's own subjective experiences as a daughter. The biological mother is connected to the gendered functions of colonial power. Secondly, Lucy studies her happy, affectionate employer, Mariah, who, like her mother, also would use Lucy in the same way. By exposing the relation between the wealth of people like Mariah and the poverty of the world's majority, Lucy foregrounds global inequality. However, as feminist protagonist Lucy rejects the available identities offered by her mother and Mariah. At the novel's end the act of writing will be a painful process of recovering the past and inventing a new identity. This process can be interpreted as a metaphoric exploration of decolonization. Within the narrow geographic space, the Caribbean area represents powerfully the effects of power and control, of domination and patriarchy. This area becomes radically disrupted in the writings of Jamaica Kincaid in A Small Place and Lucy. These two texts explore the conflicts of power that stem from gender and race relationships in a postcolonial world presenting a postcolonial feminism that takes into account the complexity of the social and economic world in which the black heroine's life must unfold. In this sense A Small Place and Lucy embody the critique of western traditional middle-class feminism that we have come to associate with Gayatri Spivak.

      • 질식초음파를 이용한 자궁경관무력증의 진단

        The diagnosis of cervical incompetency Is routinely accomplished by reviewing the clinicalhistory and pelvic examination subjectively. Rescently by using ultrasonography. the objectivemethod in diagnosis of cervical incompetency was developed. Especially, the transvaginal sonog-raphy can provide clear visualization of uterine cervix with an empty bladder without distrosionof cervix which was developed when abdominal sonography with distended bladder. So author performed the study in 46 cases of pregnant women of which menstrual agewas 12 weeks to 36 weeks(normal control group 36 cases, risk group 11 cases) during theperiod of May, 1992 to Febburary, 1993. And these two groups were performed trasvaginal sonog-raphy and measured length and diameter of cervix. And the result were follows ; 1) The mean age was higher in risk group than normal control group. the gestational agewas not significantly different between two groups, and the gravity and parity was higher inrisk group than normal control group. 2) As rneasuring the lengt and diameter of cervical canal by transvaginal sonogram innullipara and multipara in normal control group, each measurements were not significantlydifferent between nullipara and multipara. 3) The mean length of cervix by transvaginal sonography was 3.0±0.97cm in risk group,4.7±0.89cm in normal control group and the cervical length was significantly shorter in riskgroup than normal control group(P<0.01). 4) The mean diameter of cervix by transvaginal sonogram was 2.0±0.37cm in risk group,0.5±0.21cm in normal control group and the diameter of cervix was significantly greater inrisk group than normal control group(P<0.01). Transvaginal sonographic measurement of cervical length and diameter in diagnosis of incompetent internal os of cervix is noninvasive and relatively objective method.

        혁신의 확산 이론을 통해 본 블렌디드 러닝의 수용과 채택

        이 연구의 시작은 블렌디드 러닝(blended learning)이 우리나라 교육 현장에 긍정적인 변화를 가져올 수 있다는 믿음에서 출발하였다. 그러나 교육 현장에서 이를 수용하고 채택하지 않는다면 그잠재성은 발현될 기회를 갖지 못하고 그간 스쳐간 수많은 교수학습전략, 교육매체, 교육정책들처럼 사라져버릴 것이다. 따라서 이 연구는 블렌디드 러닝의 수용과 채택에 관한 교육 현장의 모습을 교사의 인식과 행동을 중심으로 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 어떻게혁신이 확산되는지를 설명해주는 Rogers의 혁신의 확산(diffusion of innovation) 이론을 분석 틀로 삼아 교사의 생각과 행동을 듣고 관찰하였다. 그결과 블렌디드러닝의 채택률에 영향을 미치는 요인을 다음 여섯 가지로 정리할 수 있었다. 블렌디드 러닝을 채택하고 적극적으로 실천하는 교사들은 (1)블렌디드 러닝이 보다 기존 교육방법에 비해 상대적으로 장점이 많고(relative advantage), (2)자신의 교육관이나 경험 등에 부합하며(compatibility), (3)이를 이해하고 실천하는 것이 그다지 어렵지 않으며(complexity), (4)본격적 채택에 앞서 시범적으로 활용해 볼 수도 있고 동시에이를 지속적으로 실천하는것이 가능하다(trialability and sustainability)고 생각하고있었다. 또한 (5) 블렌디드 러닝은가시적인효과가 높은 편이며(observability) (6)심리적저항감(psychological resistance)은 적은 편이었다. 이와같이 블렌디드 러닝의 채택 요인을 밝힌다는 것은 현재 교육 현장을 이해하기 또 하나의 노력을 더한다는의미를, 그리고 나아가 향후 또 다른 이름을 가진 혁신이 교육 현장에 도입될 때 고려해야 할 요인을 가늠해준다는 의미를 갖고있다. The basic assumption of the study was that blended learning could bring positive changes to the educational field. The potential of blended learning, however, can never be realized if it is not adopted and utilized by teachers. Thus, this study investigates teachers’ perceptions of blended learning to promote its adoption. The diffusion of innovation theory was applied to analyze the teachers’ perception. As a result, the study identified six attributes of blended learning that affect its adoption in the field of education. Those who have adopted and implemented blended learning were likely to perceive it as follows: (1) Blended learning is better than the idea it supersedes (relative advantage). (2) It is compatible with the existing values, needs and past experiences of teachers (compatibility). (3) Blended learning is not too difficult to understand and implement (complexity). (4) Blended learning could be tried out before a full scale adoption (trialability) and be supported to endure a trial or hardship (sustainability). (5) The effect of blended learning is easily visible to others (observability). (6) Innovative teachers have low psychological resistance to change (psychological resistance). The result of this study shows that some factors of perceived innovative attributes have more influence on teachers' adoption of blended learning. This study also indicates what factors should be considered for encouraging teachers to adopt another innovation in education.
