This paper describes the method aimed at establishing the equipment measuring the parameter of Cable Network by Best proper Cable Modem and PDA through RS232 interface. In this paper, we propose our creative experimental configuration and develope the Cable Modem (DOCSIS 2.0) superior more performing than the referred Cable Modem (DOCSIS 1.0, 1.1) and the measuring equipment of HFC network compositing of Cable Modem and PDA through RS232 interface. This equipment analyzes Upstream (U/S) and Downstream (D/S) Signal quality and generates the signal of Upstream by CW signal. The paper also provides the experimental results to check the Best Proper Cable Modem and the displayed screen for parameters for SNR, BER and the demodulated IQ diagram of 256QAM through LCD of PDA. Henceforth, it"ll be possible to support a variety of the functions for E-mail, Internet, the speed test of WEB connection and the transmission of the measured result real time by PDA.

Allopurinol (4-hydroxypyrazolo-[3,4-d]pyrimidine) is an effective and widely used xanthine oxidase inhibitor administered in the treatment of hyperuricemic states such as gout. Allopurinol-induced DRESS (Drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms) syndrome is characterized by hematologic abnormalities, especially eosinophilia and mononucleosis-like atypical lymphocytosis, skin rash, fever, lymph node enlargement and single or multiple organ involvement, which starts within 8 weeks after the initiation of therapy. We report three cases of allopurinol-induced DRESS syndrome who developed erythematous skin eruption six weeks, nine weeks and seven weeks, respectively, after allopurinol therapy. The clinical, laboratory and histologic findings of these patients were compatible with allopurinol-induced DRESS syndrome. (Korean J Dermatol 2007;45(7):714∼719)

Background: Calcium plays a role in the proliferation and differentiation of keratinocytes. In a normal situation, the calcium concentration forms a gradient across the epidermal layers. Calcium is sparse in the basal layer and spinous layer. Skin organ culture is a useful model for conducting research on various aspects of skin biology. Skin organ culture systems are used for defining factors that affect homeostasis when elucidating the modulatory effects of biologic response modifiers, drugs and physical agents on the skin and also when studying complex aspects of cutaneous biology in normal and diseased skin. Objective: In this study, we investigated the effects of extracellular calcium on the epidermis in a skin organ culture. Methods: We compared the skin organ culture patterns under various culture conditions (calcium 0.1, 0.7, 1.4 and 2.0 mM). Results: H&E staining showed different phenotypes according to the calcium concentration and IHC also showed different phenotyes compared to that of keratin 10, involucrin, filaggrin, loricrin and PCNA. Conclusion: As a result, we concluded that the calcium gradient is also an important factor in skin organ culture to maintain the vivo-like environment and the appropriate calcium concentration is 1.4 mM. 정보통신기술의 발전과 무선 통신 기술들에 관한 연구가 진행되면서, 이를 이용한 다양한 시스템들이 개발되어지고 있다. 항만물류 분야에서도 고객의 패러다임 변화, 안전한 화물 수송 그리고 관련 법안의 제정 등에 따라 무선 통신 기술의 적용에 대한 다양한 연구 및 개발이 진행되고 있다. 본 논문은 RFID/ USN 기술을 접목한 지능형 컨테이너에 대한 연구개발의 일부분으로써, 컨테이너에 부착될 무선 송?수신 노드들 간의 RF 통신의 특성을 설펴보고, 다수의 컨테이너가 적치되어져 있는 컨테이너 터미널 장치장 및 선박에서의 RF 통신의 문제점에 대해 실험을 통해 고찰하였다.
