        The purpose of this study is to examine the subject quantity semantic function represented by the adverb of Ancient Chinese language. First, the examples of adverbs representing subject quantity were laid out. Second, the ancient Chinese adverbs, which represent a large subjective quantity include ‘始’, ‘乃’, ‘已’, ‘猶’, ‘將’, ‘且’, ‘幾’. Among them, ‘始’, ‘乃’, ‘已’ and ‘猶’ are neutral types and ‘將’, ‘且’, ‘幾’ is shortfall types. Third, the ancient Chinese adverbs, which represent a small subjective quantity include ‘唯/惟/維’, ‘獨’, ‘止’, ‘僅’, ‘徒’, ‘特’, ‘直’, ‘祇/祗’ and ‘乃’, all of which are neutral types.

        상고·중고중국어 시기 조동사 ‘欲’의 변천

        This paper analyzed the use of the multi-functional word ‘yu(欲)’ used as verb, auxiliary verb, future tense marker, etc., and discussed the path of meaning development and its mechanism. First, the verb ‘yu(欲)’ in Pre-Chin Period was used in ‘NP1+V欲+NP2’, indicating the meaning of ‘desire’. The verb ‘yu(欲)’ has expanded its function to take the object of complex structures such as abstract nouns, verb phrases, and subject-predicate structures. Second, when VP of ‘NP+Vyu(欲)+VP’ is [+control], the structure of ‘NP+Vyu (欲)+VP’ is re-analyzed as ‘NP+Auxyu(欲)+VP’. At this time, the verb ‘yu(欲)’ in the meaning of ‘desire’ is changed to ‘volition’ type auxiliary verb. Third, the verb ‘yu(欲)’ in the meaning of ‘desire’ appears in the topic-comment sentence can infer the ‘necessity’ of VP. These ‘yu(欲)’ develop into auxiliary verbs that represent [necessity] during the period of The Six Dynasties. Fourth, if the VP of ‘NP+Auxyu(欲)+VP’ is [-control], the [+ intention] feature of ‘yu(欲)’ is suppressed, and the meaning of ‘yu(欲)’ is developed into ‘prediction’ type future tense with [-intention], [+prediction], and ‘schedule’ type future tense with [-intention], [-prediction].

        의미지도모형의 관점에서 본 고대중국어 능력류 조동사의 발전

        范曉蕾는 일련의 연구에서 현대중국어 방언 자료를 근거로 중국어 실정에 부합하는 중국어 양상 관련 개념공간을 새롭게 구축한 바 있다. 본고는 해당 연구를 고대중국어 조동사의 사용 현황에 적용시켜 타당성을 검토해 보았다. 분석 결과 다음의 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 참여자 외재 가능(participant-external possibility)의 내부를 분리하여, 중성류 [조건]과 주어지향류 [능력]을 묶어 하나의 상위범주로 구분하고, [도의허가], [조건허가]를 다른 하나의 상위범주로 구분할 수 있다. 분리된 [조건가능]만이 [인식가능]과 연관되며 나머지 세 기능과는 직접적으로 관련되지 않는다. 둘째, [내재능력]의 하위개념을 세분하고, 그 중 총칭적 행위의 능력을 나타내는 [항상능력]을 [조건필연]-[예측성/계획성 미래]의 경로에 연계시킨다. 이는 특정적 행위의 능력을 나타내는 [특정능력]은 [조건필연]-[미래]의 발전 경로와 직접적인 관련성이 없다고 보는 관점이다. 이러한 방식은 [조건필연], [미래] 등의 기능이 있는 ‘會’, ‘解’ 등의 발전 경로를 설명하거나 ‘能’, ‘可’, ‘得’ 등 능력류 조동사들이 나타내는 능력 의미의 발전 과정을 보다 세밀하게 나누어 설명함 있어 매우 유용한 방법이라 할 수 있다. In a series of studies, Fan Xiaolei has newly established a conceptual space for Chinese modality that fits the situation of Chinese based on modern Chinese dialect data. This paper reviewed the validity by applying the study to the use of ancient Chinese auxiliary verbs. As a result of the analysis, the following conclusions were obtained. First, the inside of the participant-external possibility can be separated, neutral [condition] and subject-oriented [ability] can be grouped into one higher category, and [deontic permission] and [conditional permission] can be classified into another higher category. Only the isolated [conditional possibility] is linked to [epistemic possibility] and is not directly related to the other three functions. Second, subconcepts of [internal ability] are subdivided, and among them, [always ability] representing the ability of generic behavior is linked to the path of [conditional necessity] - [predictability/planning future]. This is a view that [specific ability] indicating the ability of a specific action is not directly related to the development path of [conditional necessity] - [future]. This method can be said to be a very useful method because it explains the development path of ‘Hui' and ‘Jie’, which can represent ‘conditional necessity’ and ‘future’, or explains the meanings of ‘Neng', ‘Ke', and ‘De' in more detail.

        고한어(古漢語) 연구(硏究)의 최근 동향과 과제 ― 2013년~2017년 ≪중국어문논총(中國語文論叢)≫ 논문을 중심으로

        This study analysed the research articles about ancient chinese language in Journal of Chinese Language and Literature and major journals at home and abroad in terms of research topics for articles published from 2013 to 2017 years, and examined the implications and problems and presented future prospects. Depending on the subject, research areas of ancient chinese language can be divided into philology, phonology, grammar and lexicology and others. But domestic researches tend to be limited to certain areas. Recently interdisciplinary research has been gaining traction and has been creating a wider social and economic impact. there are few studies that carry out interdisciplinary research on the fields including history, philology, philosophy, psychology, sociology, statistics, etc. However, there have been constant attempts to seek new perspectives through the convergence of various areas of Chinese language and literature such as philology, textual criticism, bibliology, science of edition and textual emendation of China. We consider that related researchers need to expand this and seek to associated with more diverse research fields. It is expected that fruitful accomplishments in the field of ancient chinese language and profound interdisciplinary study shall follow.

        ≪석가여래십지수행기(釋迦如來十地修行記)≫의 조동사

        This paper carried out a full-scale analysis of the auxiliary verb that appeared in Seokgayeoraesipjisuhaenggi(釋迦如來十地修行記). As a result of the analysis, the following conclusion was drawn: First, 18 kinds of auxiliary verbs appeared in Seokgayeoraesipjisuhaenggi. Nine of them belong to the class of ‘ability’, five to the class of ‘will’, and four to the class of ‘obligation’. Second, most of the auxiliary verbs that appeared in Seokgayeoraesipjisuhaenggi were frequently used during the period of modern Chinese after Tang and Song Dynasty. However, there were no examples of auxiliary verbs that had been newly used since the Yuan and Ming Dynasty, such as ‘gai(該)’ and ‘suo(索)’. Third, the frequency of occurrence of ‘neng(能)’, ‘ke(可)’, ‘de(得)’, ‘kan(堪)’ is relatively high in ‘ability’ auxiliary verbs. Most of the sentences in which these appeared show polysemous phenomenon, only in certain combinations, such as dynamic ‘ability’ and epistemic ‘possibility’, dynamic ‘circumstantial’ and deontic ‘permission’ or ‘evaluation’. Fourth, the frequency of occurrence of ‘yu(欲)’, ‘ken(肯)’, ‘gan(敢)’ is relatively high in ‘ability’ auxiliary verbs. Their semantic functions are relatively simple, all representing ‘volition’. There were no polysemous auxiliary verbs, such as ‘dang(當)’ or ‘yao(要)’. Fifth, the frequency of occurrence of ‘obligation’ auxiliary verbs is not high overall. Among them, ‘dang(當)’ and ‘xu(須)’ were relatively used. ‘dang(當)’, ‘yi (宜)’, ‘he(合)’ used in the text are all polysemous. They can both express deontic [duty] and epistemic [possibility].

        고등학교 중국어 교과서 문법기술의 제문제 ― 형태초점 교수법(FonF)을 중심으로

        Starting with Focus on Form(FonF)’s theory, we will examine the problems in grammar descriptions of high school Chinese textbook, which is compiled centering on the ability to communicate. As a result of the analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: First, it is necessary to adjust the pages of various activities and cultural areas that are not directly related to the text in textbooks. Second, after obtaining additional pages, the amount of input associated with the content of the text should be expanded to provide learners with self-directed learning opportunities. Third, from a relative perspective, fluency should be set as the goal of advanced-level textbooks and the focus should be on improving accuracy in beginner-level textbooks. Fourth, these classes should be centered on textbooks, not on the passion and sacrifice of individual teachers. It is necessary to actively use QR codes and PPT methods currently used by various publishers to ensure that all students in the country receive homogeneous classes
