폐광지역 지반침하 GIS분석을 위한 데이터베이스 모델 연구

Efficient database and DBMS are essential for GIS analysis of subsidence in the abandoned mine area. A data structure and a suitable analysis method were proposed for an efficient analysis of subsidence in the abandoned mine area. Data models for the location of mine, ground water level, subsidence measurement and subsidence cracks were defined and structured to the database. GIS(Geographic Information System; 지리정보시스템)를 이용한 폐광지역의 지반침하 분석에 있어 효율적인 데이터베이스 구축 및 DBMS(Database Management System; 데이터베이스 관리시스템)의 이용이 요구된다. 이를 위해 폐광지역의 지반침하 분석에 있어 효율적인 분석이 가능하도록 그에 적합한 데이터 구조와 분석방법을 모색하였다. 지반침하 관리시 요구되는 갱도위치, 지하수위, 침하 실측치, 침하 균열 등과 같은 공간 정보에 대한 적합한 모델을 설정하고 데이터베이스를 구축하였다.
SH-SY5Y 세포에서 MPTP로 유발된 파킨슨 질환의 세포 사멸에 대한 국산 프로폴리스 추출물의 저해 효과 및 분자 기전 탐색

Parkinson’s disease is representative neurodegenerative disorder in recent century. We investigated that the improvement effect of Korean propolis extracts on Parkinson’s disease and its protein signal tranduction in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. To apply MPTP in which caused Parkinson’s disease and propolis extracts, we evaluated the optimal concentration by cell viability assay. MPTP and propolis extracts concentration is 1 mM and 10 μg/mL for SH-SY5Y, respectively. 1 mM of MPTP were triggered aggregation of α-synuclein and apoptosis. However, simultaneously treatment of propolis extracts with MPTP was inhibited aggregation of α-synuclein and apoptosis signaling. By Western blotting analysis, propolis extracts decreased the ubiquitination, PARP and caspase-3 activation. And propolis extracts prevented the releasing of cytochrome C from mitochondria to cytosol fraction and Inhibited Bak fragmentation. Especially, although phosphorylation of ERK, SAPK/JNK and p38 was strongly increased by MPTP, propolis extracts was inhibition phophorylation of ERK and SAPK/JNK. In this study, we verified that the novel function of propolis extracts in Parkinson’s disesase improvement. Furthermore, we claified the signaling molecule change of Parkinson’s disease-related apoptosis by MPTP and propolis extracts. Therefore, we suggested that propolis extracts is a useful substance with functional components for improvement of neurodegenerative disease.
소포체 스트레스에 의한 미세소관 중합 저해에 대한 국산 프로폴리스의 효과

Microtubules (MTs) are a major components of cytoskeletal structure. It is biopolymers formed through polymerization of heterodimers of α-tubulin and β-tubulin. MTs play a critical role for maintain of cell shape, cell division, migration and transport of materials in the cells. Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress disrupts posttranslational modification of protein and consequently inhibits the formation of MTs structure. Here, we investigated the improving effect of Korean propolis for microtubule polymerization during ER stress by tunicamycin. Tunicamycin and propolis concentration for PC12 cell treatment is 150 μg/mL and 10 μg/mL, respectively. Tunicamycin treatment decreases the expression level of acetylation of α-tubulin and it was inhibits MTs formation in tubulin polymerization assay. However, although the presence of tunicamycin, propolis extracts recovers acetylation of α-tubulin level and polymerized β-tubulin. Especially, pre-treatment of propolis group exhibits higher polymerization level more than tunicamycin pre-treatment group. Fluorescence microscopy analysis shows the MTs structure recovery by propolis treatment. Our results suggested that propolis can be prevents the apoptosis, allowing protects the cells.
다래 화분 추출물의 LNCaP 전립선 암세포 증식 억제 효과

Bee pollen is collected in the form of dumplings by gathering nectar and enzymes on their hind legs when bees collect nectar from flowers. Recently, nutrients in bee pollen have been reported that the nutrients are effective for various diseases such as prostate enlargement and cancer. In this study, the anti-prostate cancer effect was investigated by selecting pollen from the most research reports, darae pollen ( Actinidia arguta). In order to confirm the purity of the pollen, it was observed using a microscope and a scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the identification of the pollen was confirmed the darae pollen ( Actinidia arguta 85%, Amorpha spp. 14%) through genetic analysis. Except for Bax among the apoptosis related proteins increased in the expression level of the pollen extract. AIF was also increased, which seems to have led to the initiation of apoptosis due to the release of AIF in the mitochondria into the cytosol. Akt, a protein involved in promoting cell division, decreased and the amount of BCL-2 protein also decreased according to pollen extract concentration. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the apoptosis related protein increased and the cell division promoting protein decreased, according to this result, the darae pollen extract was effective against prostatic hyperplasia or prostate cancer.

Parkinson's disease is a representative neurodegenerative disease in recent century. In this study, we confirmed the effect of Korean propolis for the prevention of Parkinson's disease using the SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cell line. The cytotoxicity concentration of MPP+ as a factor of Parkinson’s disease for the SH-SY5Y cell line was confirmed at 200 μM. In this concentration of MPP+ showed overexpression of α-synuclein protein as a Parkinson's marker and induced apoptosis. And propolis was inhibited apoptosis and α-synuclein expression by MPP+. The cytoprotective effect of propolis for MPP+ toxicity was appeared difference followed by treatment condition. Pre-treatment of propolis has most effectively for inhibition of apoptosis and overexpression of α-synuclein. In addition, pre-treatment with propolis increased the amount of CREB protein expression in which related cognitive function. And activation of apoptosis marker such as PARP and caspase-3 were also effectively inhibited by pre-treatment of propolis. These inactivation of various apoptosis molecules was influenced by SAPK-JNK phosphorylation. Especially, we found that Jak-Stat signaling cascade protein expression was related in MPP+ toxicity and propolis prevention for the first time. Through this study, we showed that propolis was very effectively in Parkinson’s disease prevention and clarified the molecular mechanism by propolis. Therefore, we suggested that propolis can be usefully to prevent neurodegenerative disease.

Beeswax is a hydrophobic substance secreted by the wax glands of young worker bees and is used in the construction of beehives. Beeswax finds applications across various industries such as medicine, food additives, food coatings, and preservatives. This study evaluates the general composition and nutritional value of beeswax. Beeswax is primarily composed of over 90% crude lipids and carbohydrates, with carbohydrates having the highest content. Proteins are present in minimal amounts. Beeswax contains a total of six minerals, with potassium (K) being the most abundant at 11.05 mg/100 g. The fatty acid content in beeswax is notably high at 10.2 g/100 g, with over 80% being saturated fatty acids. Through this research, the nutritional value of beeswax as a versatile material has been analyzed, providing fundamental data for its utilization in various industries including the food sector as additives.
