Vol.18 No.2

Vol.18 No.4

The purpose of this study was to investigate on the relationships of job stress sources and voluntary turnover while professional dancers are practicing and acting in dance company. The subject questioned for the study were 304 men and women professional dancers who are working in national and city dance companies in Seoul metropolitan government and six(6) metropolitan cities. The statistical methods utilized in the study were t-test, F-test, correlation and regression analyses. The findings of this study were as follows ; 1. The stress sources of professional dancers With classification by majors, the group of Korean dancers got more stress than the group of modern dancers by the sources of competition disturbing, the group of modern dancers got more stress than the group of ballet dancers by the factors of competition leadership, physique/physical fitness and the group of Korean traditional dancers and ballet dancers got more stress than the group of modern dancers by the factors of competition expectation around. 2. Voluntary turnover of professional dancers There was not much voluntary turnover among the sources of major. 3. The relationships between stress and voluntary turnover in professional dancers With classification major, the group of Korean traditional dancers was influenced by the factors of economy/welfare, leadership, and physique/physical fitness, the group of ballet dancers was influenced by leadership.

Vol.14 No.1

Stressors which dance specialty university student have been suffered from during activity in dance were analyzed through open-questionnaire, the participants in this survey were 228 dance specialty university student, sort questions according to the affinity and similarity of them in the aspects of conception, questionnaire was summed up in six factors and twenty questions. Arranged twenty questions were determined by the fifth levels of Likert's type scale to be good for responses. As the result of analysis of responded contents, they were sorted as main six factors like that university professor, training, school, finance, individual, rest. As Jim Taylor told, dancers are apt to have disease and injuries when dancers are under the stress, and those who have abnormal increase of decrease in one's own weights can have more stress. The way of conducted a good performance by dance specialty university student is that dancers should have responsibility as worker and have pride as artist, many study and analysis will be necessary if there are any other in actual circumstances or not in actual circumstances.

Vol.9 No.3

As an attempt to evaluate any possible effects of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) on the phenomena of membrane transport, effects on the short-circuit current (SCC) and potential difference (PD) across the isolated frog skin were studied under the conditions of various bathing medium, Changes of SCC and PD were measured by the method described by Ussing and Zerahn. Addition of DMSO to the inside bathing medium resulted in an initial increase in SCC followed by a secondary decline to pre-DMSO level, while DMSO at outside medium was without effect. Dose-responses(SCC) relationship revealed a linear one from 30 to 60 mM. Substitution of chloride by sulfate ion from bathing medium caused no alteration in the basic pattern and magnitude of response, thus indicating the specificity of DMSO action on the Na transport. Hypertonic solutions of DMSO added to either outer or inner bathing medium evoked a prompt fall in SCC and PD consistently. By isotopic measurement of sodium fluxes with Na24, it was evident that increased sodium influx was entirely responsible for the initial increase in SCC induced by DMSO. Of various parameters concerned with transepithelial Na transport, outer membrane permeability to Na (PoNa) was shown to be the onIy parameter which was significantly elevated by DMSO administration. From these findings, it was postulated that DMSO-induced increment in sodium influx was mediated by its stimulating action on the sodium penctration through the outer permeability barricr after binding to a receptor site different from that for the antidiuretic hormone (ADH.)

Vol.14 No.2

This study is to provide fundamental data to establish emotional stability, to improve performance by analyzing of stress factor which martial artist can be suffered before and during match . Totally, 611 subjects were participated in this study, Judo players(163), Taekwondo players (213), Boxers(108), Wrestlers (127) who are students at high schools and university in the city of Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Daejeoun, Inchon, Kwangju, and Ulsan. The average age of subjects is 19.7 years, average athletic career is 5.8 years. The method of survey is conducted by the questionnaire of self-administration method, is measured by Likert's 5scale. Using SPSS/PC Win V 10.0, Factor analysis, t-test, and One-Way ANOVA were conducted to treat these data. The following conclusion came out through procedures above mentioned. Firstly, major factors which athletics are suffered are proved as environmental, social, mental, physical, and expectational factors. Secondly, a stress of athletics in university suffered is higher than a stress of athletics in high school suffered in total. Thirdly, the longer career athletics have, the higher stress athletics suffered in the matter of difference of athletic career. The stress athletics in high school have is high in mental factor, and stress athletics in university have is high in expectational factor. Fourth, in the matter of difference of events, wrestlers are under much stress in respects of mental factor and judo players are in respects of expectational factor.
