Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the improvement after the acupuncture therapy and herbal medicine about a patient who has latrogenic Cushing with steroid induced myopathy and compression fracture of L-spine. Methods : We treated the patient with Neutral Blood Stasis herbal acupuncture, acupuncture therapy and herbal medication. Results : We have experienced one case of latrogenic Cushing syndrome with steroid induced myopathy and compression fracture of L-spine. This case improved significantly through acupuncture and herbal medication treatment. Conclusions : This study suggests manual acupuncture therapy and herbal medication is effective for the improvement of latrogenic Cushing syndrome with steroid induced myopathy and compression fracture of L-spine.

Automobile brake discs are a major part of automobiles that are directly related to driver safety, and prevention of judder and squall noise is very important. This phenomenon occurs for complex reasons such as the precision and assembly of the brake module, and the material of the brake disc. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of the grinding wheel's grain size on the grinding conditions when machining cast iron, the material of the brake disc, and to derive the optimal grinding conditions through this.

N/A Angiotensin Converting Enzyme(ACE) is mainly synthetized by vascular endathelium and is also synthetized by human alveolar macrophage, which can be activated by smoking. To evaluate the effect of smoking on ACE production by alveolar macrophage, ACE concentration was measured in serum and bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL) fluid in 14 smokers(6 cancer, 4 tuberculosis, 4 bronchitis) and the results were compared with that in 13 non-smokers(6 cancer, 5 tuberculosis, 2 bronchitis). 1) Serum ACE concentration of tuberculosis and cancer was within normal range, but ACE concentration in BAL fluid of tuberculosis showed higher tendency than that of cancer. 2) Serum ACE concentration in smokers was not different from that of non-smokers, but the ratio of ACE to albumin in BAL fluid in smokers was significantly higher than in nonsmokers(10.01±8.90U/mg vs 2.42±1.90U/ml, p<0.005). 3) The ratio of RAL to serum-ACE to albumin ratio [BAL (ACE/alb)/serum (ACE/Alb) ] was above l.0 in all cases and significantly higher in smokers than in non-smokers(33.89±25.01 vs 14.53±15.38, P<0.025). 4) The concentration of BAL ACE per 106 of alveolar macrophages was 2.03±1.64 units in smokers and 0.77±0.92units in non-smokers(p<0.025). We conclude that ACE is actively secreted into intrabronchial lumen and smoking affects ACE production through alveolar macrophage activation.

최근 혼합현실 기반의 다양한 콘텐츠의 생산이 활성화 되고 있다. 이러한 콘텐츠는 실세계의 촬영 영상과 가상의 영상을 합성하는 기법으로 이를 위해서는 실세계의 촬영 영상과 마커 또는 생체 정보등의 객체를 이용하여 영상 합성을 통하여 구현되는 것이 일반적이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 혼합영상에서의 가상영상 합성을 위해 스테레오 카메라를 이용, 영상의 객체 깊이를 측정하는 시스템을 구현한다.

In these days, the research about hybrid and fuel cell electric vehicles is actively performed due to the environmental contamination and resource exhaust. Specially, the technology of regenerative braking, converting heat energy to electric energy, is one of the most effective technologies to improve fuel economy. This paper developed a regenerative braking control algorithm that is considered vehicle stability for fuel cell electric vehicles using in-wheel motors. The vehicle has a inline motor at front drive shaft and two in-wheel motors at rear wheels. A control logic and regenerative braking control algorithm are analysed by MATLAB/Simulink. The vehicle model is carried out by CarSim and the driving simulation is performed by using co-simulation of CarSim and MATLAB/Simulink. From the simulation results, a regenerative braking control algorithm is verified to improve the vehicle stability as well as fuel economy.
