        FDS와 GIS를 이용한 교량 화재 위험도의 정량적 평가 및 적용방안

        최근 교통과 물류의 발달과 함께 위험물 수송의 증가와 교통량의 증가로 인하여, 주요한 사회기반시설물 중 하나인 교량에 대하여 예상하지 못한 화재사고 화재 발생이 증가하는 추세이다. 또한, 교량 하부 공간의 효율적인 사용에 대한 요구가 늘어남에 따라, 하부에 유조차 및 화물차 등의 위험물질이 적치되는 비율이 증가하고 있으며, 앞서 기술한 이유들로 인하여 최근 교량의 화재 발생 위험성이 급격히 증가하고 있다. 하지만, 이러한 피해를 줄이기 위해, 교량에 대한 화재 위험도 평가가 수행된 사례가 있으나, 사용자의 관점에서 안전성을 고려한 실용적으로 위험도를 평가할 수 있는 모델이 부족하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국도교량에 적용 가능한 정량적인 위험도 평가모델을 제시하였다. 교량의 화재위험도에 큰 영향을 미치는 형하고, 화재강도, 교량의 재료, 소방차량 도착시간 등을 주요인자들로 선정하였으며, 선정된 인자들을 FDS에 반영하여 화재강도와 지속시간에 따른 각 교량의 최고 온도를 산출하였다. FDS 해석결과와 위험도 등급기준, 소방차량 도착시간을 반영한 화재 위험도 평가 모델과 위험도에 따른 대응방안을 수립하였다. GIS의 네트워크 분석기능을 통해 소방서에서 교량까지의 도착시간을 예시적으로 산출하였으며, 이를 통해 예시적인 교량의 위험도 등급을 평가하고, 그에 따른 대응방안을 제안하였다. In recent years, unexpected bridge fire accidents have increased because of augmenting the number of traffic volumes and hazardous materials by the increment in traffics and distribution business. Furthermore, in accordance with the effort of using the under space of bridges, the ratio of occupied by combustible materials like oil tanker or lorry has been increased. As a result, the occurrence of bridge fire has been growing drastically. In order to mitigate the accident of bridge fire, risk assessment of bridge fire has been studied, however, practical risk models considering safety from users' viewpoints were scarce. This study represented quantitative risk assessment model applicable to national road bridges in Korea. The primary factors with significant impacts on bridge fire accidents was chosen such as clearance height, materials of bridges, arrival time of fire truck and fire intensity. The selected factors were used for Fire Dynamics Simulation (FDS) and the peak temperature calculated by FDS in accordance with the fire duration and fire intensity. The risk assessment model in bridge fire reflected the FDS analysis results, the fire damage criteria, and the grade of fire truck arrival time was established. Response plans for bridge fire accidents according to the risk assessment output has been discussed. Lastly, distances between bridges and fire stations were calculated by GIS network analysis. Based on the suggested assessment model and methodology, sample bridges were selected and graded for the risk assessment.

        Background : The expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in the vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) is dependent on the multiple regulatory mechanisms of which are largely unknown. In this study, we focused on the role of IFN-r in IL1 b-mediated expression of the VSMCs iNOS gene. Materials and Methods : VSMCs were isolated from rat thoracic aorta by enzymatic dissociation. Phosphorothioate-modified ODNs were designed to block initiation of target mRNA translation. Nitrite concentrations were measured by mixing 100uL of culture medium with 100uL of Griess reagent. The biological activity of IFN-r was demonstrated by testing the effect of supernatants collected from the IL-1 b-treated VSMCs on the production of NO in RAW 264.7 cells stimulated with LPS. Supernatant levels of IFN-r were measured by Endogen Rat Interferon gamma enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit. Total RNA was prepared from cultured VSMCs using RNA zol (Tel-Test) 12 hours after IL1 b treatment. RNA (1ug) from each sample was reverse-transcribed with Oligo-dT as the first-strand cDNA primer and Maloney murine leukemia virus reverse transcriptase. Western blotting and electrophoretic mobility shift assay were performed. Results : In a system of rat VSMCs in primary culture, we found that IL-1b induced the productions of both NO and IFN-r. IFN-r protein and mRNA were expressed in the IL-1b-stimulated VSMCs. Anti-IFN-r antibody or antisense synthesis in the IL 1b-stimulated cells. Furthermore, antisense IFN-r ODN abolished the IL 1b-induced activation of interferon regulatory factor-1 (IRF-1) without affecting NF-kB activity as determined by electrophretic mobility shift assay. The repletion of IFN-r to the system restored NO production and IRF-1 activity. Conclusion : These results suggest that the expression of iNOS gene in the IL1 b-stimulated VSMCs is dependent on the endogenous IFN-r synthesis and regulated through the activations of both IRF-1 and NF-kB.

        프리플렉스 부재를 이용한 콘크리트 박스 구조물 내진보강에 관한 실험 및 해석적 평가

        1970년대 이후 한국의 빠른 경제성장 동안에 수로나 철도 등 많은 지중구조물들이 건설되었다. 1988년에 내진설계가 의무 화되었으나, 1988년 이전의 지중 구조물들은 내진설계가 반영되지 않았다. 따라서, 이러한 지중 구조물들은 지진이 일어났을 때 안전성을 확보하기 위해 효과적인 내진 보강방법이 필요하다. 그러한 이유로, 본 연구에서는 새롭게 개발된 보강재를 이 용한 RC 박스 지중 구조물 우각부 보강공법의 내진성능에 대하여 분석하였다. 이 공법은 박스구조물 우각부에 Pre-flexed member를 설치하여 외력에 저항력을 증대시키는 원리이다. 타당성을 검증하기 위해서 새로이 개발된 보강재와 기존의 보강 재를 실험과 유한요소해석으로 비교하였다. 유한요소모델에서 강재의 비선형 모델은 J2 Plasticity Model을 기초로 하고 콘 크리트는 CEB-FIP MODEL CODE 1990로 모델링되었다. 또한, 설계반영을 위한 박스 구조물과 보강재와의 합성률을 산정 하였다. 보강재와 박스구조물은 Tie에 의해 완전 부착된 상태의 연결조건 하에서 해석이 수행되었으며, 하중-변위곡선에서 실험과 유한요소해석의 결과가 서로 일치하였다. During the rapid economic growth in Korea since the 1970s, many underground facilities were constructed such as under passes and railways. Seismic design has been mandated in 1988, but the structures built before 1988 were not reflected on the seismic design. Accordingly, these underground structures require effective seismic reinforcing methods to ensure safety when the earthquake happens. By these reasons, in this study, using the proposed pre-flexed members, RC box structure was analyzed for seismic reinforcement of the corner. This method is based on a principle that enlarging the resistance against the external force by installing the pre-flexed member to the box structure corner. To evaluate validity, a newly developed member with CornerSafe was compared with traditional type reinforcement using experiments and finite element analysis. In finite element mode, nonlinearity of steel was modeled based on J2 plasticity model and concrete was based on CEB FIP MODEL CODE 1990. Also, composite ratios of box and pre-flexed member were computed for design application. The reinforcement and box structure were analyzed under the bond condition completely attached by the tie, and the results of experiment and finite element analysis were same in the force-displacement curve.

        원전 구조물의 내진성능 평가 방법론 고찰

        Since 2000, the frequency of earthquakes beyond the 5.0 magnitude quake has been increasing in the Korean peninsula. For instance, the 5.0-magnitude earthquake in Baekryong-do in 2003 has occurred, and recent earthquake with Gyeongju(2016) and Pohang(2017) measured respectively magnitude of 5.2 and 5.8 on the Richter scale. As results, the public concern and anxiety about earthquakes are increasing, and therefore it is necessarily required for social infrastructure to reinforce seismic design and energy production facilities directly related to the national economy and security. This study represents the analysis of seismic performance evaluation methodology such as Seismic Margin Assessment (SMA), Seismic Probabilistic Risk Assessment (SPRA), High Confidence Low Probability Failure (HCLPF) in nuclear power plants in order to develop optimal seismic performance improvement. Current methodologies to evaluate nuclear power plants are also addressed. Through review of the nuclear structure evaluation past and current trend, it contributes to be the basis for the improvement of evaluation techniques on the next generation of nuclear power plants.

      • 열용량법을 이용한 차량 전면유리창의 제상성능 해석

        The defrosting performance is one of the most important automotive design considerations. The defrosting process is a three-dimensional transient flow including multi-medium, multi-phase and phase change. In recent years, Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) has been attempted to predict the defrosting performance in the automotive design stage. In this study, a numerical simulation was performed to predict the transient defrosting pattern on an automotive windshield. The conjugate heat transfer and the enthalpy methods were applied to simulate the defrosting pattern and the defrosting duration. The numerical predictions are compared with the measurements on the windshield defrosting pattern as well as the velocity distribution near the windshield. The results shows reasonable agreement between predictions and measurements.<br/>
