The purpose of this study was to find an effect of Metaphon Intervention on the improvement of speech intelligibility of preschool children with articulation-phonological disorders. Subjects were 4 preschool children with articulation-phonological disorders. A multiple baseline design across subjects was used to examine the effect of the program. The program consisted of 2 steps. The first step was composed of concept level, sound level, phoneme level, and word level. The second step was on sentence level. Results were as follows: First, metaphon ability of all subjects was improved after the Metaphon Intervention. Second, speech intelligibility of all subjects was improved after Metaphon Intervention. From the results above, Metaphon Intervention can be effective to improve not only phonological awareness and metaphon but also overall speech intelligibility of preschool children with articulation-phonological disorders.

Using the design of experiment (DOE), factors affecting the particle size of hydrated liquid crystalline vesicles containing a high content of ceramide were analyzed and the mixture composition was optimized. Manufacturing temperature, amount of ethanol, and ultrasonic time were selected as the main variables affecting the droplet size of the vesicles, and the effect of these variables on the droplet size was examined through the signal to noise (S/N) ratios of Taguchi method and ANOVA analysis. In addition, mixture composition experiments of three lipid components constituting the vesicle membrane, hydrogenated phosphatidyl choline (HPC), cholesterol (Chol), and ceramide (Cer), were performed according to the simplex central design matrix of the mixture. Regression analysis was conducted with the experimental data to obtain a model equation, and the optimal mixing composition of the three lipid components to minimize the vesicle droplet size was determined as HPC (0.6), Chol (0.1), and Cer (0.3).

Patient-safety incidents consistently take place around the world, and the extent of the damage from the incidents is considerable. To improve safety of patients and prevent adverse events, a variety of activities and systems have been set up to report and manage patient safety at both international and national levels. This paper summarizes the type and cause of adverse drug reactions, as an important part of patient safety, and addresses the drug safety systems of Korea for monitoring and minimizing the occurrence of adverse drug reactions.

The Korean government is actively promoting mandatory zero energy building (ZEB) implementations to achieve its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Photovoltaic (PV) technologies are hence being applied in the construction of ZEBs, and building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems are in the spotlight. BIPV systems are presently being integrated in the building envelopes as parts of the buildings, such as facades, roofs, and windows, to produce on-site clean electricity without requiring additional space. However, the monotonous black-colored BIPV modules are not popular because they affect the aesthetics of the buildings. To mitigate this problem, studies have been conducted on colored BIPV modules to improve the aesthetics of buildings by implementing various colored components. Power estimation is an important part of judging the faults in PV systems. Therefore, this paper proposes a performance estimation model using the characteristics of color BIPV systems based on I-V curve measurements. A color BIPV and meteorological monitoring systems were installed to acquire field survey data. The goal of this study was to verify the superiority of the proposed model by comparison with the power estimated using a simulation tool. The proposed model with high-accuracy power estimations is expected to help diagnose the performance of the BIPV system.
지하주차장 빛환경 개선을 위한 광파이프 시스템의 채광성능 평가에 관한 연구

Use of daylight in underground space interacts with physiological need for human beings and provides relief from feeling secluded. Light pipe system can deliver natural light into the space where it is needed and can be used as primary or a secondary light source with benefits of energy, productivity and health. To use light pipe system effectively under various conditions, it is important to investigate the effectiveness of light pipe system with reliable monitoring protocol. This paper presents the results of light pipe system performance used in underground parking lot under different sky conditions. Comparisons were made between the illuminance standards of underground parking lot and the monitored data. The results indicated that adequate illuminance level was shown until 4.5m distance from the light pipe under clear sky condition. However, additional lighting device showed be used under overcast sky to meet the proper illuminance level.
