        Sinonasal undifferentiated carcinoma(SNUC) is a distinct, relatively rare neoplasm arising in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses composed of undifferentiated epithelial cells and clinically characterized by a fulminant course. We report a case of SNUC in a 56-year old man who have had bilateral neck masses since one month ago before coming to our hospital. The paranasal computed tomography showed soft mass density in the left maxillary sinus and the nasal cavity with bone destruction in the anterior medial and the inferior maxillary sinus wall. This mass was extruded into the left orbital wall. Biopsy of the nasal mass and fine needle aspiration(FNA) of the neck mass were done. FNA revealed medium-sized neoplastic cells forming clusters or individually dispersed. Nuclei were round to oval, slightly to moderately pleomorphic, and hyperchromatic. Chromatin was finely granular, but occasionally was coarsely granular. Nucleoli varied from large to inconspicuous and the cytoplasm was scanty.

        대두분 급여가 고지혈증 흰쥐의 지질대사 및 효소 활성도에 미치는 영향

        To investigate the effects of yellow soybean powder on serum lipid level and enzyme activities, male Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were given hyperlipidemic diets for 6 weeks. Rats(n=8) were divided into three groups consisting the normal group(N), hyperlipidemic diets group(C) and hyperlipidemic diets and yellow soybean powder group(YSP). YSP group lowered triglyceride, total lipid, phospholpid, ester-cholesterol and free-cholesterl than control group. YSP group lowered total-cholesterol, VLDL-cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol but increased HDL-cholesterol of the serum compared to the control group. Athergenic Index(AI) and LHR(LDL-cholesterol/HDL-cholesterol ratio) of YSP group was decreased by control group (p<0.05). On the other hand, glutamic oxaloacetate transaminase(GOT), glutamic pyruvate transaminase (GTP), lactate dehydrogenase(LDHase) and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) enzymes activities were decreased by hyperlipidemic diets group (C). These results suggest that yellow soybean powder fed a lipid lowering effect in serum of rats.

      • 자궁경부도말에서 Atypical Squamous Cells of Undetermined Significance(ASCUS)의 조직학적 및 세포학적인 추적 관찰

        In 1988, The Bethesda System for reporting cervical and vaginal cytologic diagnoses was introduced and this was revised in 1991. The new diagnostic category "atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance(ASCUS)" introduced by The Bethesda System is an area of controversy about the diagnostic category, clinical significance and appropriate treatment. A retrospective 2 years and 9 months study(April, 1994-December, 1996) was performed to evaluate the significance of reporting ASCUS on cervical smears. Sixtyseven(1.17%) of 5,730 smears were diagnosed as ASCUS and 21 cases were followed by cervical biopsies and/or endocervical curettages in 4 cases(19%), and repeat cervical smears in 17 cases(81%). Tissue diagnoses were benign in 2 cases and squamous cell carcinoma in situ in 2 cases. Cytologic diagnosis of follow up smear were negative in 14 cases(82.4%) and persistent ASCUS in 3 cases(17.6%).

        C5210-H(HP)와 NKT322-EH 소재의 협피치 커텍터에서 단조 가공에 의한 소재 폭 변화에 관한 연구

        As devices such as smartphones, tablet PC, and wearable devices have been miniaturized, the connectors that go into the devices are also designed to be very small. The connector combines the plug and the receptacle to transfer electricity. As devices are miniaturized, the contact shape is formed by partially thinning the thickness of the raw material of the terminal in order to lower the coupling height of the plug and receptacle. The product used in this study is a receptacle terminal used for 0.4mm pitch board to board connector among fine pitch connectors. When the material thickness is reduced by forging the receptacle terminal, the width change of the pin is checked. To reduce the thickness of the material by forging, pre-notching is applied in the first step, forging in the second step, and notching in the third step. After forming the width dimension of the pin to 0.28 mm in the pre-notching process, in the forging process, the material thickness 0.08 mm and 0.02 mm (25%) were forged and the thickness was changed to 0.06 mm and the width change amount of the pin was measured. The facility produced 10,000 pieces at 400 SPM using a Yamada Dobby (MXM-40L) press, and thirty pins were measured and the average value was shown. After forging by using C5210-H (HP) and NKT322-EH, which are frequently used in connectors, analyze the amount of change in each material. The effect of punching oil on forging is investigated by appling FM-200M, which is highly viscous, and FL-212, fast drying oil. This study aims to minimize mold modification by predicting the amount of material change after forging.

        Heme 산화효소 발현 유도체로서 Isoflavone-Free 검은콩 펩타이드의 항고혈압 활성

        We previously reported that the novel isoflavone-free peptide mixture (black soybean peptide, BSP) had several beneficial effects like antiobesity and hypotriglyceridemic effect. However, there are no reports for BSP on anti-hypertensive activity. BSP induced heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in HUVECs, thus investigated the HO-1-induced activity in HUVECs and the anti-hypertensive effects in SHR animal model. BSP significantly induced HO-1 expression both at transcriptional and protein levels in a time- and dose-dependent manner as measured by RT-PCR and Western blot analysis, respectively. These inductions were abolished by pretreatment of N-acetyl-cystein (NAC, 1~10 mM), but not by employing Tempol, a superoxide dismutase (SOD) mimetic (1~5 mM). As expected, enzymatic activity (~2 fold) determined by bilirubin formation assay and cGMP concentration (~6 fold) were significantly increased in BSP-treated cells. Based on the numerous evidences on the beneficial effects of HO-1 and our results, we investigated in vivo effects of BSP on the antihypertensive activity. The administration of BSP (1% in drinking water) significantly decreased mean blood pressure (BP) (from 218.6±6.99 to 190.0±3.42 mm Hg, p<0.01). This result indicates that BSP is strong inducer of HO-1 expression, which may be triggered by oxidative stress, and has anti-hypertensive activity.

        퍼터의 관성 모멘트가 퍼팅의 정확성에 미치는 효과

        본 연구는 퍼터의 무게가 커지면 관성 모멘트가 증가됨으로서 정확한 퍼팅이 실현될 것이라는 가설 하에 참여자들을 일반 퍼터집단(500g)과 헤비퍼터 집단(750g)의 두 집단으로 나누어 다섯 날짜(day)에 걸친 실험을 통하여 이루어졌다. 일반 퍼터의 관성 모멘트는 173kg·㎡ 이고 250g의 무계를 부착한 헤비 퍼터의 관성 모멘트는 .298kg·㎡ 이었다. 또한 목표 거리를 짧은 거리(1.7m), 중간 거리(3.25m)와 긴 거리(6m)로 제시하여 이들 세 목표거리 사이의 퍼팅의 정확성의 차이에 대한 분석도 실시하였다. 실험 결과 관성 모멘트가 큰 헤비 퍼터 집단은 관성 모멘트가 작은 일반 퍼터 집단보다 퍼팅이 유의하게 정확함이 나타났다. 사후 검증(post hoc test)을 실시한 결과 두 집단사이의 차이는 중간 거리와 먼 거리에서만 발견되었으며, 짧은 거리에서는 차이가 없었다. 또한 날짜(day)에 유의한 차이가 있었으며 날짜와 거리 간에는 상호작용이 발견되었다. 이 결과는 훈련이 진행됨에 따라 전체적인 정확도에 향상이 있었으며, 또한 훈련이 계속되면서 세 거리 조건 사이의 정확도의 관계가 바뀜을 의미한다. 결과를 종합하면, 헤비 퍼터와 일반 퍼터 사이에 유의미한 차이가 발견됨으로서 관성 모멘트가 퍼팅의 정확성을 결정하는 요인이라는 본 연구의 가설이 지지되었다. 그러나 두 집단사이의 정확도의 차이가 짧은 거리에서는 나타나지 않았다는 사실은 퍼팅의 정확성에 관성 모멘트 외에 다른 요인이 또한 작용한다는 것을 시사하고 있다. The present study investigated the issue of the accuracy of golf putting based on the hypothesis that the moment of inertia of a putter is a critical factor for the accuracy of golf putting. The hypothesis says that heavier putter would have higher moment of inertia, and this higher moment of inertia would increase the accuracy of golf putting. In the experiment the participants were divided into two groups, heavy and light putter goups, and were given five sessions of testing which were a week apart each other. Also, they were given three goal distances of short, middle, and long. The measured moment of inertia of the light putter was .173kg·㎡, and the heavier putter was .298kg·㎡. The result showed that the heavy putter group were more accurate that the light putter group, and the follow up post hoc analysis showed that the group difference was only on middle and long distance conditions and not on the short distance condition. Also, there was main effect of session, and interaction between session and distance conditions. In sum, the data supported the hypothesis of the present study which argues the moment of inertia is the critical factor that determines the accuracy of golf putting. But the fact that there was no difference between two groups on the short distance condition indicated, also, that there would be other factors that could have effects on accuracy of golf putting.

        함초를 첨가한 두부의 이화학적 특성 및 항산화성

        함초를 첨가가 두부 제품의 이화학적 특성과 항산화성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 함초를 4%~20%까지 첨가하여 이화학적 특성과 항산화성의 변화를 측정한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 수분함량과 조단백질은 모든 시료간에 차이를 보이지 않았으며, 조회분과 조지방이 함초 20%를 첨가한 두부가 가장 높게 나타났다. Fe과 K, Mg 및 Zn 함량은 함초 20%를 첨가한 두부가 가장 높게 나타났으며, Ca 함량은 함초 16%, 20%를 첨가한 두부가 높게 나타났다. 함초의 첨가량이 증가 할수록 Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Zn 함량이 증가하는 경향을 보이고 있다. DPPH radical 소거활성은 식품의 항산화력을 측정하는 방법으로서, 함초즙을 10배로 희석한 후 측정한 DPPH 의 값은 79.20으로 나타났으며, 두부는 함초 20%를 첨가한것이 높게 나타났다. 함초의 첨가량이 증가할수록 높은 소거활성을 보였다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때 함초를 16%~20% 첨가하여 제조한 두부가 저장성 및 항산화성이 좋은 것으로 나타 났으며, 이는 두부제조에서 함초 첨가는 두부의 저장성 및 항산화성에 영향을 주어 제품의 품질 향상에 기여함을 알 수 있었다. In this study the physiochemical characteristics and antioxidant activity of soybean curd were prepared with saltwort (Salicornia herbacea L.). The moisture and protein of the saltwort soybean curd showed no difference among the samples. Ash and lipid were found to be the highest in the soybean curd to which 20% saltwort was added. The contents of mineral(Fe, K, Mg, Zn) were highest in the soybean curd to which 20% saltwort was added, and Ca content was high in the soybean curd to which 16% and 20% saltwort was added. DPPH (1,1-dipheny1-2-picryl-hydrazyl) radical scavenging activity is a method of measuring the antioxidant power of food; this was high in the soybean curd to which 20% saltwort was added. Adding more saltwort led to higher scavenging activity. From the above results, it could be seen that the soybean curd, which is made by adding saltwort, contributed to enhancing the functionality of antioxidant activation and product quality.
