This study was conducted to derive operating conditions for biological wastewater treatment targeting high- concentration dry condensate generated in the drying process of food waste. In the biological treatment of dry condensate, lab. scale (40 L/d) bioreactor was manufactured and used in the study to evaluate the water quality of the treated water according to the change in operating conditions and to derive stable operating factors. Changes in the influencing factors inside the aeration tank according to the change of BOD load, hydraulic retention time (HRT) and F/M ratio were observed during the operation of the lab. scale bioreaction process. Thereafter, the treatment efficiency was evaluated by measuring the water quality concentration of the treated water. As a result of the study, the water quality of the treated water was BOD 71.14 ± 10.19 mg/L, TOC 49.54 ± 9.64 mg/L, T-N 33.78 ± 5.00 mg/L, T-P 3.35 ± 1.24 mg/L was evaluated as the highest treatment efficiency, under the HRT 5 day, BOD Load 0.30 ± 0.02 kg BOD/d, F/M ratio 0.40 ± 0.02 kg BOD/kg MLSS/d operating condition. It is concluded that the results of this study can be used as data for ensuring stable treated water quality and complying with the emission standards at real plant.

This paper was concentrated on estimating the possibility of application of biological fluidized bed to the low concentrated wastewater treatment and reuse. This study were conducted by continuous type rectors at HRT 1hr, 2hr, 3hr and F/M ratio from 0.2 to 0.4/day. The results obtained were as follows. 1. As a results of the treatment of the low concentrated wastewater of influent BOD 70-94㎎/l, BOD removal ratios coulde be reached to 94% at HRT 1hr. 2. Treatment efficiency by BFB of low concentrated wastewater was nearly same even if in case of F/M ratio variation of 0.2 to 0.4 regardless of F/M ratio. 3. As a prevent to anaerobic state and increased oxygen transfer rate, the air lift pump is effiency. 4. A results of the treatment of the low concentrated wastewater by BFB is that the industrial water is the first class and the drinking water is the third class, therefore, it could be reuse.

Paper and Pulp Wastewater contains lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose so on that increase COD. The purpose of this study is to reduce inorganic chemical coagulant such as alum used generally. As reducing alum and using chitosan, we can reuse paper and pulp wastewater treatmented. Chitosan is harmless and organic coagulant while alum is inorganic that occurs second problems. This experiment is to investigate better coagulation function The following conclusion is result of this experiment. 1. The results of coagulation test as a only function of chitosan dosage. Using only chitosan ranged 20~480 mg/L of concentration, the optimum dosage of chitosan is 10mL(400mg/L). 2. The results of coagulation test as a only function of the alum dosage. On the concentration range of 16~196 mg/L, the optimum dosage of alum is 0.7mL(112mg/L), as COD concentration is 1061 mg/L. 3. The coagulation condition limited concentration of alum to 48mg/L test on variety concentration of chitosan. The optimum concentration of chitosan is 1.2mL(48mg/L). 4. On the coagulation condition limited concentration of alum to 112mg/L, the optimum concentration of chitosan is 0.7 mL(112mg/L).
