사단법인한국예총대구시연합회(이하 대구예총, 회장 문무학)은 2년간 작업으로 ⌈대구예총50년사⌋를 2012년 연말에 출간하였다. 이 책에는 대 구예총에 소속된 대구건축가회, 대구국악협회, 대구무용협회, 대구문인협 회, 대구미술협회, 대구사진작가협회, 대구연극협회, 대구연예예술인협회, 대구영화인협회, 대구음악협회, 이상 10개 지부의 역사를 담고 있다. 981 쪽의 방대한 분량으로 시대별 각 예술 장르가 겪었던 내용, 또한 당시 왕 성하게 활동하던 예술인들의 활동상을 함께 적고 있다. 특히 사진을 많이 수록하고 있어 쉽게 이해하도록 노력한 점이 눈에 띈다. 대구예총은 객관적 사실을 중시하고 개인의 주관은 가급적 배제했다고 한다. 특히 대구예총사가 곧 대구예술사라는 관점에서 역사적으로 중요한 행사를 빠뜨리지 않도록 주의하여, 단순한 기록물을 넘어서 과거에서 찾 을 수 있는 교훈이 무엇인지 부각시키고자 노력했다고 한다. 이번 작업은 이미 1993년에 발간된 ⌈대구예술삼십년사⌋(大邱藝術三十年史)이후 20 년 만에 발간된 것이다. 이 책에는 찾아보기가 실려 있지 않아 주제어를 찾는데 어려움이 있어 본 색인작업을 시도하였다. 1차적으로 대구예총 전체에 관련된 내용, 곧 처음부터 189쪽까지만 다루었다.

Perovskite-type oxide materials based on transition metals are efficient photocatalysts for overall water splitting with high quantum yields. However, the band gaps of these materials (ca. 3.8-4 eV) are not adequate for visible light-induced photocatalysis. The development and fabrication of materials showing photocatalytic activity for water splitting into H2 and O2 and degradation of organic pollutants under visible light irradiation, therefore, is the most important topic in the photocatalysis research today. In search of novel oxide photocatalysts with high photocatalytic activity under visible light irradiation, we have investigated a vast number of perovskite-type oxides, and discovered that PbBi2Nb2O9, an Aurivillius phase type layered perovskite containing bismuth (Bi3+) was an efficient photocatalyst for water splitting and degradation of organic pollutants under visible light irradiation (420nm).

The photocatalytic water splitting using sunlight is one of the most promising methods to store solar energy as chemical energy. In search of new highly efficient photocatalysts for water splitting under visible light irradiation, we studied the lead substitution effect in perovskite related layered niobates and titanates in a systematic manner. Our strategy was to shift the photocatalytic activity from UV into the visible light range, by high or complete substitution of cations in UV-active perovskite material with lead ion. We investigated layered perovskite phases of the Aurivillius (Bi2O2)2+(An-1BnO3n+1)2-, Dion-Jacobson M[An- 1BnO3n+1] and Ruddlesden-Popper (An+1BnO3n+1) types. We found in all the three structure type examples, that a non-visible light absorbing, non-photocatalytically active lead-free phase can be converted by lead substitution, into a visible light absorbing, visible light photocatalytically active phase. In this communication we report on the importance of lead substituion in obtaining visibly active layered photocatalysts.

TiO2-xNy nanoparticle was formed by employing the complex of titanium(III) chloride and ammonium hydroxide as a source of nitrogen. During calcination, an anatase phase of titanium oxide was formed and a part of oxygen in titanium precipitate was successfully substituted by nitrogen originated from strong interacted (or adsorbed) ammonium hydroxide on titanium precipitate. The resulting oxynitride photocatalysts absorb the visible light region, which suggests that the bandgap of TiO2-xNy is narrowed, comparing to that of titanium oxide. Although absorption region is like a small shoulder, TiO2-xNy photocatalyst has the photoactivity to decompose gaseous 2-propanol (IPA) under visible light irradiation. In this work, we investigate the mechanism to form TiO2-xNy and characterize its physical and chemical properties.
