        Development of Beam Monitoring System for Proton Pencil Beam Scanning Using Fiber-Optic Radiation Sensor

        We aimed to develop a beam monitoring system based on a fiber-optic radiation sensor (FORS), which can be used in real time in a beam control room, to monitor a beam in proton therapy, where patients are treated using a pencil beam scanning (PBS) mode, by measuring the beam spot width (BSW) and beam spot position (BSP) of the PBS. We developed two-dimensional detector arrays to monitor the PBS beam in the beam control room. We measured the BSW for five energies of the PBS beam and compared the measurements with those of Lynx and EBT3 film. In order to confirm the BSP, we compared the BSP values of the PBS calculated from radiation treatment planning (RTP), to five BSP values measured using FORS at 224.2 MeV. When comparing BSW values obtained using developed monitoring system to the measurements obtained using commercial EBT3 film, the average difference in BSW value of the PBS beam was 0.1 ± 0.1 mm. In the comparison of BSW values with the measurements obtained using Lynx, the average difference was 0.2 ± 0.1 mm. When comparing BSP measurements to the values calculated from RTP, the average difference was 0.4 ± 0.2 mm. The study results confirmed that the developed FORS-based beam monitoring system can monitor a PBS beam in real time in a beam control room, where proton beam is controlled for the patient.

        Sports Digitalization: 경기, 학문, 관람 및 피트니스 분야의 디지털 트랜스포메이션

        Active research on the digital transformation of the sports industry is leading efforts to strengthen competitiveness and develop new markets by embracing and utilizing new technologies in line with significant changes in the industry's business model. As a result, the sports industry's competitive landscape and business models are undergoing significant changes through digital transformation. The purpose of this study is to present and discuss changes in the fields of games, learning, spectating, exercise, and fitness due to sports digitization by expanding existing studies in more detail. It analyzes the progress of sports digitization and explores changes in various fields within the sports industry. This study discusses the possibility and development direction of sports digitization through cooperation with various sports industry officials by discussing strategic responses to formations and seeking ways to secure sustainable competitiveness in the sports industry. 스포츠 산업의 디지털 트랜스포메이션에 대한 활발한 연구는 산업의 비즈니스 모델의 큰 변화에 따라 새로운 기술을 수용하고 이를 활용하여 경쟁력을 강화하고 새로운 시장을 개척하려는 노력을 주도하고 있습니다. 이에 따라 스포츠 산업의 경쟁 구도와 비즈니스 모델은 디지털 트랜스포메이션을 통해 상당한 변화를 겪고 있습니다. 본 연구는 스포츠 디지털화로 인한 게임, 학습, 관전, 운동, 피트니스 분야의 변화를 기존 연구를 보다 구체적으로 확장하여 제시하고 논의하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 스포츠 디지털화의 진행 상황을 분석하고 스포츠 산업 내 다양한 ​​분야의 변화를 탐구한다. 본 연구는 포메이션에 대한 전략적 대응을 논의하고 스포츠 산업에서 지속 가능한 경쟁력을 확보할 수 있는 방안을 모색함으로써 다양한 스포츠 산업 관계자들과의 협력을 통한 스포츠 디지털화의 가능성과 발전 방향에 대해 논의한다.

        Impact of 0.35 T Magnetic Field on Dose Calculation for Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Stereotactic Radiotherapy Plans

        Background: We investigated the impact of 0.35 T magnetic field on dose calculation for nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) in the ViewRay system (ViewRay Inc.), which features a simultaneous use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to guide radiotherapy for an improved targeting of tumors. Materials and Methods: Here, we present a comprehensive analysis of the effects induced by the 0.35 T magnetic field on various characteristics of SABR plans including the plan qualities and dose calculation for the planning target volume, organs at risk, and outer/inner shells. Therefore, two SABR plans were set up, one with a 0.35 T magnetic field applied during radiotherapy and another in the absence of the field. The dosimetric parameters were calculated in both cases, and the plan quality indices were evaluated using a Monte Carlo algorithm based on a treatment planning system. Results and Discussion: Our findings showed no significant impact on dose calculation under the 0.35 T magnetic field for all analyzed parameters. Nonetheless, a significant enhancement in the dose was calculated on the skin surrounding the tumor when the 0.35 T magnetic field was applied during the radiotherapy. This was attributed to the electron return effect, which results from the deviation of the electrons ejected from tissues upon radiation due to Lorentz forces. These returned electrons re-enter the tissues, causing a local dose increase in the calculated dose. Conclusion: The present study highlights the impact of the 0.35 T magnetic field used for MRI in the ViewRay system for NSCLC SABR treatment, especially on the skin surrounding the tumors.

Advances in digital technology enable consumers to enjoy and participate in sports in new ways. The experience of watching sports is changing significantly with the development of digital technology. Digital innovation is driving innovation in many areas, including fan experience in the sports industry, improving player performance, and game strategy development. Fans can watch the game live through digital technology and interact through social media. Advanced data analytics can help develop gaming strategies and allow sports organizations to develop new revenue models. Advances in technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality are expected to further digitize the sports industry and contribute to player performance analysis and injury prevention.         Assessing Commercial CLEANBOLUS Based on Silicone for Clinical Use

        Purpose: We investigated the properties of CLEANBOLUS based on silicone with suitable characteristics for clinical use. Methods: We evaluated the characteristics of CLEANBOLUS and compared the results with the commercial product (Super-Flex bolus). Also, we conducted physical evaluations, including shore hardness, element composition, and elongation break. Transparency was investigated through the measured absorbance within the visible region (400–700 nm). Also, dosimetric characteristics were investigated with surface dose and beam quality. Finally, the volume of unwanted air gap was investigated based on computed tomography images for breast, chin, and nose using Super-Flex bolus and CELANBOLUS. Results: CLEANBOLUS showed excellent physical properties for a low shore hardness (000–35) and elongation break (>1,000%). Additionally, it was shown that CLEANBOLUS is more transparent than Super-Flex bolus. Dosimetric results obtained through measurement and calculation have an electron density similar to water in CLEANBOLUS. Finally, CLEANBOLUS showed that the volume of unwanted air gap between the phantom and each bolus is smaller than Super-Flex bolus for breast, chin, and nose. Conclusions: The physical properties of CLEANBOLUS, including excellent adhesive strength and lower shore hardness, reduce unwanted air gaps and ensure accurate dose distribution. Therefore, it would be an alternative to other boluses, thus improving clinical use efficiency.

        한국야구위원회의 CSR활동에 대한 인식과 재관람의도의 관계: CSR 후광효과와 지속가능한 실행을 위한 고찰

        This study analyzed the perceptions of the Korean Baseball Organization's (KBO) corporate social responsibility (CSR) content, its halo effect, and how it affects revisit intentions. The 247 baseball fans selected to participate in the study were divided into an experimental group (123) who were exposed to information about CSR activities and a comparison group (124) who were not exposed. We analyzed the differences in perceptions of CSR activities and their impact on revisit intentions. The results showed that the experimental group exposed to CSR content had higher perceptions of CSR activities such as charity, community activities, and governance. In addition, governance activities and environmental protection activities were found to have a significant impact on revisit intentions.

        프로야구 관람객의 서비스품질 인식과 관람만족도 간의 관계

        This study analyzes the relationship between perceived service quality and spectator satisfaction among spectators to professional baseball games, aiming to determine the levels of service quality perception based on the frequency of attendance to baseball stadiums. The target population consisted of spectators who attended the 2022 Shinhan Bank SOL professional baseball games, and a total of 263 questionnaires were used for the research analysis through convenience sampling. For data analysis, Confirmatory Factor Analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and analysis of variance were conducted using SPSS 26.0 Version for Windows and Amos 20.0. The study results revealed the following. Firstly, factors such as accessibility, design, and operational staff positively influenced spectator satisfaction. Secondly, it was observed that sporadic visitor groups had a higher perception of the design factor and operational staff. Through these findings, the study aims to provide valuable information for professional baseball teams to understand the desires and needs of spectators, facilitating the implementation of customer satisfaction management.

        韓 · 日言語の使役形 · 受身形のアクセント

        본 연구는 고저액센트(Pitch Accent)로 분류되는 한국어와 일본어의 액센트연구로써, 금후 양언어 액센트의 유형적 연구를 염두에 두고, 용언의 사역형과 수동태의 액센트를 대조고찰한 것이다. 모든 방언의 액센트에는 제각기 규칙성을 가지고 있으며, 이는 본고에서 다루고 있는 사역형 · 수동태의 액센트에서도 발견된다. 한국어경상도방언의 사역형의 액센트는 어간의 음절수, 장모음음절, 액센트형에 관계없이 파생접미사의 직전의 음절에 액센트가 놓이며, 수동태의 액센트는 어간의 음절수, 장모음음절, 액센트형에 관계없이 파생접미사 그 자체의 음절에 액센트가 놓인다. 또한 이러한 일정한 패턴은, 어간의 음절수, 경상북도와 경상남도의 사전형 “-다”의 음조형의 차이, 음절의 축약, 사역형 · 수동태의 접미사가 접속된 활용형의 구별없이 적용됨을 알 수 있었다. 이에 비해 일본어의 동경방언의 사역형·수동태의 액센트는 용언의 액센트패턴과 마찬가지로, 변별성을 갖는 것은 단지 핵의 유무에 있음을 알 수 있었다. 즉, 평판형(무핵)인가 기복형(유핵)인가 구별만으로 사역형 · 수동태의 액센트 또한 결정되어 지는 것이다. 본고에서는 일본어 동경방언의 사역형 · 수동태를 포함한 용언의 액센트에 대해서는 지금까지 충분히 기술되어 왔으므로 동경방언에 대해서는 선행연구의 기술을 정리하였으며, 한국어경상도방언에 대해 상세히 검토하고 기술하여, 양언어의 사역형 · 수동태의 액센트의 규칙성을 대조고찰하였다. The purpose of this paper is to describe the accent systems of Gyeongsang Korean by contrasting them with Tokyo Japanese. Both dialects are classified as having the pitch accent. Every dialect has its own regularity in its accent, which is also found in the accents of causative-passive forms, which I describe in this paper. Until now there have been many literatures on the accent system of causative-passive forms in Tokyo Japanese while its Korean counterpart is lacking pilot studies and data. Therefore, in this paper, by adopting methodologies of the pilot studies on Tokyo Japanese, and also by using the data collected from the fieldworks relating to Gyeongsang Korean, I will discuss the regularity found in the accent of causative-passive in Gyeongsang Korean in contrast with Tokyo Japanese.

        韓国語光陽市津上面方言のアクセント

        The objective of this paper is to describe the accent systems and their mechanisms of a dialect in the Gyeongsang province of Korea. I will discuss on the three-class type in this paper found in this areas, and report on data obtained during field work there. The three-class system proposed in this paper can be found in Gyeongsang-do, Jella-do, Chungcheng-do, and the following neighboring regions surveyed by the present writer: Sangju-si, Gumi-si, Gimcheon-si, Geochang-gun and Hamyang-gun, with the Sobeck mountain range at the center. I have previously discussed the accents of this area. In this paper, I will take Gwangyang dialect, and discuss phenomena, such as the accents of compound words, which have not yet considered.

        借用語の音韻構造とアクセント

        The present paper examines on the basis of the data assembled by the author the conclusion by Kenstowicz & Sohn (2001) that the accent of loanwords in the Gyeongsang dialect is determined by their syllabic structure. As a result it is shown that the highest average of the application of the K & S's principle is about 70% as regards three or four syllable words. This average is only achieved when the following two conditions regarding the original word of borrowing are taken into account. There is no correlation between the syllabic structure and accent as regards monosyllabic words, since the accent remains the same even if the syllabic structure is altered by the addition of a particle. The present paper thus critically examines the applicability of the two conditions concerning the segmental structure of the original word, the prerequisites of the discussion of K & S (2001), as well as the level of knowledge of the original words in the acquisition of loanwords by the dialect speakers.
