The purpose of the study was to analyze research trends on the use of ICT in biology education. The study investigated 49 articles between 2000~2009 from, and taken the referred journals in science education. The articles were analyzed according to research topic, subject, content in biology education, type of technology used, research method, and the impact. The major findings of the study are as follows: Over the last ten years, the number of articles published has slowly been declining. Studies on development and its application made up 51% and most of them were quantitative studies. Students were the main subjects, predominantly secondary school students (61.2%). ``Metabolism`` and ``Reproduction and Genetics`` were the most popular domains in using ICT in biology. Web-based courseware and web-based teaching and learning materials were dominant but new types of ICT like MBL, Digital textbook, Web forum, Web tools were catching up. The most common variable in measuring the impact of ICT in biology education, was ``Understanding of scientific concepts`` (72%). Most of the studies showed the positive effects in understanding scientific concepts, improving inquiry skills and attitude toward science, and enhancing attitude to learning. We suggest that more qualitative studies and studies on using up-and-coming technology are needed to analyse effective methods for ICT use in biology education. In addition, student-directed ICT use is an essential requirement to develop biology education.

The purpose of this study was to give suggestions for promoting biology teaching and learning by analyzing internet use related to biology education of secondary school biology teachers and students. For this study, survey was conducted for 221 secondary school biology teachers and 618 secondary school students, and the results were analyzed by SPSS. Results are as follows: (1) 87.2% of the secondary school biology teachers have used the Internet more than twice a month, but only 20.5% of the secondary school students did. (2) The major purpose of using the Internet was to find data and information, which was common in teachers and students. (3) Teachers have used the Internet more efficiently than students by using the functions like bookmarks and recommended sites. (4) Teachers and students felt that the quantity and quality of data on the web related to biology teaching and learning. (5) and unvaried, text-centered, untimely updated materials were pointed out as problems.
생물교육 활성화를 위한 생물교육 자료 및 정보 센터의 활용도 분석

This research was intended to find suggestions for improving a website on biology education (Biology Education Resources and Information Center (BERIC). BERIC website consists of six main menus. 「Bulletin Board」, 「Biology Education Forum」, 「The Searching for Biology Education Research Materials」, 「Students` Biology Inquiry Activity」, 「Biology Teaching Materials」. 「Dept. of Biology Education」. As the result of analysis on access log files, the use of BERIC Website was increased steadily from July in 1996 to June in 2001. The use of 「Students` Biology Inquiry Activity」 was the highest among six menus, and followed by 「Biology Education Forum」 and 「Biology Teaching Materials」, Wednesday and Thursday in a week, 16:00∼18:00 and 20:00∼22:00 in a day showed the highest rate of use. In conclusion, the directions for improving BERIC website to activate biology education can be suggested as follows: we have to 1) develop and service more qualified and abundant learning and teaching materials 2) try to find the strategies for active communication among the persons related to biology education, 3) improve the speed of server response and data processing, 4) design the website for users to use conveniently and efficiently, and 5) check the needs of users periodically through the analysis of log files and reflect on managing a website.
여자 대학생 소비자의 허영 성향에 관한 연구 -부산, 울산 및 김해를 중심으로-

In this article, the trait aspects of vanity are measured. The data were collected from 517 female college students in Pusan, Ulsan, and Kimhai. Vanity is a psychological construct that describes an excessive concern and positive view of one's physical appearance and personal achievement. The goal of this paper is to investigate the correlations of 4 sub-dimensions of vanity, the mean differences of 4 sub-dimensions of vanity according to socio-economic variables, and the vanity types of female college students. The mean for levels of an excessive concern of one's physical appearance and personal achievement and a positive view of personal achievement were slightly above the midpoint. The mean for levels of a positive view of physical appearance was slightly below the midpoint. The correlations between the 4 vanity scales were positive. Especially a positive view of one's appearance was most strongly related to a positive view of personal achievement. There were significant differences in 3 vanity scales except an excessive concern of one's physical appearance between the age groups. There were significant differences in 4 vanity scales between the allowance and income groups. Cluster analysis was used to identify 3 vanity types of students. Above two third of the total sample were the vanity group and the positive viewer. The Non-Vanity group, was comprised the smallest proportion of female college students.

Korea has to submit Treaty-Specific Document under Article 35, Paragraph 1, of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities by year`s end. Despite it has the property of social rights, Article 9 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is classed as civil rights. States party can`t report the progressive realization of rights classed as civil rights because the rights must be realized immediately in principle. The current research examines articles of domestic laws about the rights to accessibility of people with disabilities. Framework for this study is based on Guidelines on Treaty-Specific Document to be Submitted by States Parties under Article 35, Paragraph 1, of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
중,고등,대학생 소비자의 쇼핑가치 유형과 강박구매: 서울과 울산을 중심으로

There is an increasing need for both hedonic and utilitarian shopping value due to the industrialization of entertainment. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationships of shopping value type and compulsive buying of students. To investigate the relationships, socio economic variables are included to control the effect. The sample was composed of the middle, high and college students in Seoul and Ulsan. Region, Shopping value type, Father`s occupation and mother`s education level were the important variables that influence on the compulsive buying of students. The compulsive buying of active shopping value type is higher than the hedonic shopping value type. And the compulsive buying of utilitarian shopping value type is lower than the passive shopping value type. Thus utilitarian shopping value decrease the compulsive buying degree. But utilitarian shopping value can facilitate the compulsive buying degree with hedonic shopping value.
