Gastric schwannoma is a very rare gastrointestinal mesenchymal tumor. Schwannoma in the gastrointestinal tract is usually not symptomatic, and preoperative abdominal CT or endoscopic evaluation cannot distinguish it from gastrointestinal stromal tumor. Surgical resection of this tumor is adequate to achieve a good prognosis. We performed laparoscopic gastric wedge resection in two patients who had the preoperative diagnosis of gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumor. In both cases, the postoperative immunohistochemistry staining was positive for S-100 protein and it was negative for CD34, which is consistent with gastric schwannoma. We report here on two cases of gastric schwannoma along with a review of the literatures.

This paper aimed to verify and develop lighting design data for offices in Korea. It focused on a Korean standard office value relative to lighting density and the evaluation of lighting energy and cooling load. When planning indoor lighting design, we generally utilize the lighting density value which is set 14W/㎡ by the ASHRAE/IES standard office value. However, the value is not appropriate to apply in Korea where higher efficiency lamps are more popular than others. For calculation of a proper lighting density of Korea, we analysed distribution curves of luminous intensity(2-lamp fluorescent lighting fixture with Parabolic) and derived the new lighting density 12.64W/㎡ as Korea standard ㎡ office value. In the simulation using this value, it was shown that lighting energy and cooling load could be reduced.

This paper provides a simplified analysis method to evaluate the potential of daylighting to save energy associated with lighting and cooling. Factors on daylighting performance are investigated for several combinations of building geometry, window opening size, and glazing type in Seoul. A direct correlation has been established between visual transmittance and window area. Through regression processes, the best fitted equations on lighting energy and cooling load were derived. As a result, we expect this study to be a simplified analysis method for estimating energy use in lighting and cooling.

It is well-known that most of the solar radiation absorbed by photovoltaic (PV) module is not converted to electricity but contributes to increase the temperature of the module, thus reducing the electrical efficiency. It is also important to consider building integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) as an integral part of the environmental systems of a building if the application of BIPV is to be successful, because just applying PV onto already designed building envelope, and treating the PV system as an element as if independent from the building, will not enable optimum performance. In this paper, roof integrated PV modules are studied. : Indoor experiment and outdoor exposure experiment. Difference of temperature between the front and back of PV module is about 13.4~22.3℃. If each layer of PV module measures temperature, we will know about heat transfer of PV cell and change of thermal environment of indoors in detail. Therefore this paper presents the comparison of electrical, architectural and thermal performance of roof integrated photovoltaic(PV) modules, which is composed of different hybrid structure layer such as insulation.

Buildings are responsible for approximately 50% of current carbon dioxide emissions. Energy planning at a town and city scale needs a strategic approach, supported by strong planning policies. The purpose of this study was to investigate the urban scale grid-connected photovoltaic(PV) system for urban residential and commercial sector applications. The integration of PV technology into roof of houses is an approach that is being championed in Germany, Japan and United states etc. In the Korea, PV roofing systems already are given the large number of houses which are projected to be built by 2012. However unlike germany and Japan, urban scale grid-connected PV system is not yet installed. The solar city which is installed building-integrated photovoltaic system is available to use of renewable energy sources such as solar to meet demand, instead of fossil fuels, with the goal of realizing an ecologically oriented energy supply.

One of the most promising renewable energy technologies is photovoltaic(PV) power. PV systems are elegant means of producing on-site electricity from the sun without noise, pollution or any moving parts. However many PV systems are not installed in suitable part which is concerned about geometrical factor. It is generally recognized that the actual output of PV system in field is a function of orientation, tilt angle, irradiance, temperature, soiling and various system-related losses. Thus in this paper, based on the electrical characteristics of PV module, a simple model is proposed to predict the PV module performance for inexperienced engineer and architecture. Five factors are introduced in this model to account for the complex dependence of the PV module performance upon irradiance and temperature.

Photovoltaic system is not only produce electricity, but is also building integral components such as roof, window, facade and shading device. However the durability and life time of PV module are not infinite. So in this paper, we examined 10 domestic samples of three different modules by electrical test and environmental test such as thermal, humidity, freeze, thermal-endurance and damp heat test under IEC61215 photovoltaic module environmental endurance test condition. On external appearance test, there two models which showed bubble, humidity penetration. Therefore it is considered that the efforts for securing PV module' durability and finding optimum installation method in building should be needed.

Photovoltaic(PV) permits the on-site production of electricity without concern for fuel supply or environmental adverse effects. The electrical power is produced without noise and little depletion of resources. So BIPV(Building-Integrated Photovoltaic) system have been increased around the world. Hereby the relative installation costs of the system will be relatively low compared to traditional installations of PV in high-rise buildings. This paper examined possibility of building integrated balcony PV system and analyzed both performance and problems of this system. The system is influenced by conditions such as irradiation, module temperature, shade and architectural component etc. IF this BIPV system of 1.1kW is possible the natural ventilation in the summer case, the temperature of PV module decrease and the the efficiency of PV system increase generally. By the results, the annual averaged PR of BIPV system of cold facade type is about 74.7%.

In 2008, the global photovoltaic(PV) market reached 5.6GW and the cumulative PV power installed totalled almost 15GW compared to 9GW in 2007. Due to a favourable feed-in-tariff, Korea emerged in 2008 as the 4th largest PV market worldwide. PV power installation rose 495.5 percent to 268MW in 2008 compare to 45MW in 2007. Building integrated photovoltaic(BIPV) has the potential to become a major source of renewable energy in the urban environment. BIPV has significant influenced on the reflection by rear materials such as white back sheet and the heat transfer through the building envelope because of the change of the thermal resistance by adding or replacing the building elements. In this study, to use as suitable building materials into environmentally friendly house like green home, characteristic analysis of BIPV module according to rear materials achieved. Electrical output of PV module with white back sheet is high about 10% compared to other pv module because of 83% reflectivity of white back sheet compared to 8.4% reflectivity of other PV modules with different rear materials(black back sheet and glass). In the result of outdoor experiment during a year, electrical output of four different PV module is decreased about 3.72%.
