        폐쇄성 수면 무호흡 환자에서 임시 하악 전방 이동 장치를 이용한 치료결과 분석

        Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of temporary mandibular advancement devices (MAD) in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) patients Methods: 28 patients (male 21, female 7) undergoing temporary mandibular advancement device treatment for OSA were selected from 2011.01. to 2012.02. in the department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at SamsungMedicalCenter. Treatment efficacy was determined by polysomnography (PSG) at baseline & after MAD delivery. The response group was defined as >50% Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) reduction plus post-MAD AHI <10, and the non-response group was defined as <50% AHI reduction. The lateral cephalogram was analysed including SNA, SNB, UL, MPH, PAS, PASU, and PAST using V-ceph$^{TM}$ (Cybermed, USA). Results: The responsers were 23 patients, and non-responsers were 5 patients. The AHI was significantly reduced with temporary MAD ($8.08{\pm}7.93$) compared with baseline ($28.51{\pm}20.56$) in the response group (n=23). No significant difference was observed between pre MAD and post MAD except SNB on cephalometric analysis. Among 11 patients successfully treated with the temporary device, 9 patients said that using permanent device brings better effect too. Conclusion: These results indicate that the Temporary MAD could not be the only effective tools on OSA but also be used to predict patient's reactivity about permanent appliance treatment. Further studies are warranted to evaluate the relations between temporary MAD and permanent MAD.

        임분밀도관리도를 이용한 편백림의 고사량 및 수확량 예측

        본 연구는 편백 조림 임분을 대상으로 임분관리 체계 수립을 위해 임분밀도관리도를 개발하였다. 조사 표본점 216 plots을 활용하여 수확량-임분밀도 관계를 추정하였으며(R<sup>2</sup>=0.743), 추정된 모수를 바탕으로 임분밀도관리도를 구축 하였다. 생장을 예측한 결과, ha당 3,000 본 조림 후 80년간 솎아베기 시업을 하지 않았을 경우 고사 본수는 12.0~18.1 treesㆍha<sup>-1</sup>ㆍyear<sup>-1</sup>로 분석되었고, 임분 재적은 463.1~695.4 m<sup>3</sup>ㆍha<sup>-1</sup>, 임분밀도는 1,555~2,038 treesㆍha<sup>-1</sup>로 나타났다. 향후 임분밀도관리도는 시업 기준과 수확목표 설정 등 산림 경영 계획 수립에 있어서 효과적으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This study aims to make the stand density management diagram which is useful for establishing stand density management system in Chamaecyparis obtusa forest. By using 216 sample plots to estimate Yield-Density relationship (R<sup>2</sup>=0.743), the stand density management diagram was modeled by the estimated parameters. As a result of this diagram, after planting 3,000 trees per hectare the mortality rate of this unthinned C. obtusa stands over 80 years was estimated to be equal to 12.0~18.1 treesㆍha<sup>-1</sup>ㆍyear<sup>-1</sup>, and stand volume was 463.1~695.4 m<sup>3</sup>ㆍha<sup>-1</sup>, and stand density was 1,555~2,038 treesㆍha<sup>-1</sup>. Developed stand density management diagram for C. obtusa is effective to establish the management criteria and production objective. Therefore, this study allowed us to make the optimal forest working plan.

        영문학 수업에서 중등임용시험 지문 활용 사례연구: 앤더슨의 「성숙」에 대한 글쓰기와 장면 그리기 프로젝트를 중심으로

        This paper demonstrates how I use in college literature classes teaching methods such as writing and a “drawing a scene” team project for Sherwood Anderson’s “Sophistication” (1919). The team project consists of discussion based on thought-provoking questions, drawing a scene, writing an annotation, group presentation, and peer evaluation. To find a connecting point between growing demands for practical English and some ultimate goals of literature (i.e. sympathy and compassion for others), I attempt to choose text excerpts from the Secondary School English Teacher Employment Exam. Using the excerpts in the test items as reading materials in literature classes, I focus on teaching methods and activities that help students to understand characters’ emotional states conveyed through metaphors.

        가속 열 노화시험을 이용한 침매터널용 고무 씰 소재의 사용수명 예측

        This paper considers accelerated thermal degradation tests which are performed for rubber seal materials used for undersea tunnels constructed by immersion method. Three types of rubber seals are tested; rubber expansion seal, omega seal, and shock absorber hose. Main ingredient of rubber expansion seal is EPDM(Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) and that of both omega seal and shock absorber hose is SBR(Styrene Butadiene Rubber). The accelerated stress is temperature and an Arrhenius model is introduced to describe the relationship between the lifetime and the stress. From the accelerated degradation tests, dominant failure mode of the rubber seals is found to be the loss of elongation. The lifetime distribution and the service life of the rubber seals at use condition are estimated from the test results. The acceleration factor for three types of rubber seals are also investigated.

        “프릭 쇼”와 저항의 윤리적 감수성 : 밀른의 「고맙지만 사절」을 중심으로

        This study aims to demonstrate how I use in college level literature classes discussion and writing built around focused questions and thought-provoking questions in order to promote ethical sensitivity toward resistance against corruption, abuses of power, and Mammonism in society. Among several literary texts that I use for this purpose, this paper focuses on Alan Alexander Milne’s “Declined with Thanks” in his essay collection Not That It Matters (1920). As for the significance of individuals’ decisions to refuse money or job opportunities that are presented for any improper motives or purposes, Milne’s essay explores the possibility of emanating from these individual decisions a social movement that resists the collusion between political power, economic power, and the media. In helping my students to understand Milne’s seemingly impossible ethical vision, I emphasize critical thinking within the social and cultural contexts. Through this study on cases of teaching Milne’s essay on resistance as ethical sensitivity, I attempt to contribute to prove the value and necessity of literature, and more broadly, humanities in our society.

        굴참나무 맹아갱신지의 벌기령 추정

        본 연구는 굴참나무 임분밀도관리도 개발을 통해 맹아갱신림의 경영목표별 벌기령을 예측하고자 하였다. 분석에 활용된 표준지 조사자료는 분석용 자료 603개소와 검증용 자료 113개소로 분류하였고, 이를 이용하여 임분밀도관리도의 개발과 적합도 검증을 실시하였다. 임분밀도관리도 구성 모델의 설명력(R<sup>2</sup>)은 등평균수고곡선식 0.732, 등평균직경곡선식 0.990으로 분석되었다. 재적 생산 최대 벌기령을 분석한 결과, ha당 900본의 맹아 잔존 시 42~44년으로 나타났고, ha당 1,800본을 잔존한 경우 38~42년으로 분석되었다. 3등급재 원목을 생산목표로 설정하였을 때의 벌기령은 지위지수 16일 때 25~28년이 소요되었고, 지위지수 14는 29~33년이 소요되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 굴참나무 맹아갱신 임분의 경영계획 수립에 있어서 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. we developed a stand density management diagram for Quercus variabilis in order to predict the final cutting ages of coppice forests based on management objectives. The sample data were classified into two groups: 603 data points for analysis and 113 data points for verification. Using these data, a stand density management diagram was constructed and a goodness-of-fit test was performed. The explanatory power (R<sup>2</sup>) of the constituent models for the stand density management diagram was 0.732 for the equivalent height curve and 0.990 for the equivalent diameter curve. According to the analysis of the final cutting age rangeof the highest production, the final cutting ages for 900 buds remaining per hectare was 42-44 years, and that for the 1,800 buds remaining per hectare was 38-42 years. With the third-grade log set as the production target, the final cutting age range with site index 16 and 14 was 25-28 years and 29-33 years, respectively. The results of this study provide baseline data for establishing a management plan for Q. variabilis coppice stands.

        소나무 임분밀도관리도 작성 및 실용성 검정

        본 연구는 우리나라 소나무림의 체계적인 경영계획 수립 및 관리목표 달성을 위해 지침이 될 수 있는 임분밀도관리도를 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 임분밀도관리도를 구성하는 5개의 모형을 추정하기 위하여 분석에 이용된총 조사 표본점 수는 1,886plot이었으며, 각 표준지는 소나무의 흉고단면적이 75%이상 점유하는 임분에서 추출되었다. 유의수준 5%에서 X² <sub>(0.05)</sub> 적합도를 검정하였으며, 허용오차율은 20% 수준으로 나타났다. 모형의 표준편차는 34.59 m³ㆍha<sup>-1</sup>이었으며, 허용오차율의 최소치는 16.59%, 변동계수는 22.11%로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 제작된 소나무임분밀도관리도는 밀도관리의 경로별 수확량과 솎아베기 과정을 예측할 수가 있어 산림경영에서 목적하는 생산재의 양과 형질에 따른 경영계획 수립이 가능할 것으로 기대하고 있다. This study aims to make the stand density management diagram which is very useful for establishing systematic management plan and obtaining management goal in Pinus densiflora forest. To estimate 5 models mainly composed of stand density management diagram, we used total of 1,886 sample plots having more than 75% of the total basal area of the pine trees in each stand. To test the goodness of fit, X² was computed with a significance level of 5%, and the acceptable error range as 20%. Also standard deviation of the model was 34.59 m³ㆍha<sup>-1</sup>, minimum acceptable error range was 16.59% and coefficient of variation was 22.11%. If we use the stand density management diagram, it would be useful to establish the timber yield and thinning plan understanding the pathway of stand density management.

        가스켓용 고무소재의 특성수명 예측

        In this paper, we carried out an accelerated degradation test that is commonly used to predict characteristics life of rubber gaskets for a pole transformer. The potential failure mode applied for the test is rubber elongation and the corresponding failure mechanism is heat. From the result, we found that Weibull distribution is the fatigue life distribution in NBR and H-NBR. After estimating characteristics life in commonly used temperature, the average life span of B50 in NBR is 7.7 years under 50 ℃ and the life span in H-NBR is 28 years.

        플라스틱 자와 지우개를 이용한 고분자재료의 환경응력파괴(ESC) 가속실험 방법에 관한 연구

        The study of environmental stress cracking (ESC) by contact with plastic rulers and PVC erasers which was artificially added to the external stress was carried out in order to accelerate the chemicals crack. To analyze a blooming plasticizer that migrates from the inside of blended eraser to the surface of the eraser, the ESC experiments were carried out at room temperature and 50℃ conditions. The chemicals crack shape caused by the plasticizer and the brittle fracture shape resulted from the external stress were observed in consequence with the cross-sectional surface analysis of the ruler crack by the ESC. The bending strength of the plastic rulers were fractured prior to the yield point and it had low bending flexure stress. We presented that ESC of polymer materials was affected by the polarity of the chemicals and polymer, the exposure time to chemicals, the exposure temperature and the level of strain on the polymer.
