Coagulase-negative staphylococci (CoNS) are reported to be the leading cause of nosocomial bloodstream infections. Staphylococcus pettenkoferi is a novel member of CoNS that was first isolated from the human blood and bursitis wound in 2002. We have reported cases of 6 S. pettenkoferi strains isolated from blood specimens, including one pathogen and 5 contaminants and catheter colonizers. Brucker Biotyper (Brucker Daltonics, Bremen, Germany) and molecular typing with 16S rRNA gene sequencing confirmed the 6 isolates as S. pettenkoferi. The conventional phenotypic identification of these isolates is not reliable owing to their inconsistent biochemical characteristics. Five of the 6 isolates were found to be resistant to oxacillin, and all isolates showed susceptibility to vancomycin and linezolid. For accurate identification of this novel species, advanced methods by using Brucker Biotyper or molecular methods such as 16S rRNA gene sequencing are required.

말 전문가로써 산통에 대한 자세한 평가를 위해 말을 2차 진료기관으로 보낼지에 대한 결정은 아직까지도 매우 어렵다. 일반적으로 2개의 그룹(주인, 또는 조련사 그리고 수의사)이 수술 또는 집중 진료를 위한 2차 진료기관으로 보낼지에 대해 결정해야 한다. 보험회사(외국의 경우)와 같은 많은 다른 조직이 관련될 수 있지만, 혼란을 피하기 위해 최종결정은 수의사와의 상담 하에 말의 소유주 또는 조련사가 결정해야 한다. 이 글은 2차 진료기관 의뢰결정에 관한 주요 사항들(이력, 검사결과 등)을 알려주기 위한 목적에서 작성하였다. 산통을 가진 말을 2차 진료기관에 보내야 할지 결정을 내리는데 필요한 대부분의 정보들은 오랜 동안 바뀌지 않았지만, 결정을 내리는 것과 관련된 방식은 다르게 접근될 수 있다. 이 글의 전체적인 목표는 집중적으로 보살펴야 할(단순한 수술적 교정 사례들이 아닌) 필요성이 있는 위험한 말 개체군을 감별하고, 빠른 시간 내에 소유주에게 명확한 선택가능 사항들을 제시하는 것이다.
The Performance of Small Wind Power Generation Systems on Super High-rise Buildings

This study was conducted on the application of small wind power generation systems to super high-rise buildings. Environmental factors considered in the application of small wind power generation systems to super high-rise buildings arethe wind speed, wind direction, maximum instantaneous wind speed, air flow turbulence, and noise and vibration in the targetregions and buildings. According to the results of fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, square or rectangular shaped super highrisebuildings create turbulent air flows occurred uniformly on roofs and the sides of entire buildings, from the lowest floorto the highest. High wind speeds occurred on the sides of buildings. Few turbulent beds occurred in the case of round ortriangular shaped super high-rise buildings indicating that round and triangular shapes in plan are advantageous for theapplication of wind power systems. Electric power generation was measured in mock-up tests. When they were installed in arow, small wind power generation systems met the standards for noise and vibration from continuous rotation indicating thatthey would cause little damage to buildings through their noise and vibration.
