Purpose: This study was to explore the hope structures of the newly diagnosed cancer patients by examining the relationships between hope and the three concepts of ‘Personal Spirit’, ‘Risk’ and ‘Authentic Caring’ which composed the multidimensions of the Nekolaichuk and Bruera’s hope model. Methods: Data was collected via survey from 32 newly diagnosed cancer patients. The perceived meaning of life (PML) for ‘personal spirit’, perceived confidence in cure (PCC) for ‘risk’, and perceived family support (PFS) and perceived support from medical team (PSM) for ‘authentic caring’ were adapted from the definitions of the concepts in the model. Hope, PML, and PCC were measured with VAS. PFS and PSM were measured with Korean version of ‘Cobb’s family support scale’, which was modified by Kang. Pearson correlation coefficients were used to identify the relationships among the concepts. Results: The significant relationships were revealed between hope and PCC (p<.001), hope and PML (p<.001), PML and PCC (p<.001), PFS and PML (p=.030), and PSM and PML (p=.047). Conclusion: The newly diagnosed cancer patients experience hope in different ways. The cancer patients’ hope immediate after diagnosis, however, is most likely to be experienced as seeking balance between uncertainty about cancer treatment and the meaning of life.
퍼즐 게임 환경에서 그래프 기법을 이용한 교착상태의 발견

대부분의 퍼즐 게임에서 발생 할 수 있는 중요한 문제 중 하나는 교착상태 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 교착상태를 해결하기 위해 퍼즐 게임을 그래프 기법으로 나타낸 뒤, 이를 이용한 새로운 교착상태발견 기법인 Cycle Detection을 제안한다. 기존의 기법들은 알고리즘을 수행하는데 너무 많은 시간이 걸리거나, 패턴에 대한 데이터베이스가 구축되어 있어야 하기 때문에 실시간으로 교착상태를 발견하기엔 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 탐색해야 하는 노드의 개수를 최대한 줄이는 Local search 기법과 Pruning 기법을 적용하여 퍼즐 게임을 플레이하는 동안 실시간으로 교착상태를 발견할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 본 기법은 성능을 평가하기 위해 실제 퍼즐게임 환경에서 알고리즘을 수행하고, 그 결과로 검색하는 노드의 개수와 검색 시간을 기존의 기법과 비교하여 성능향상을 확인하였다.
학교유형별 급식 배식장소에 따른 급식품질 속성 및 전반적인 만족도 분석

The purposes of this study were to analyze the quality attributes and customer satisfaction in school foodservice by distribution place and to suggest an improvement plan. The survey was distributed to different respondents (students, parents, and faculty) at different types of schools (elementary school, middle school, and high school) on September 2008 in 16 cities and provinces. The statistics were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, and ANOVA by SPSS 12.0. All foodservice quality attributes were significant different by school type and the students in elementary schools had higher scores than students in middle and high school. A comparison of scores by school type and distribution place demonstrated that elementary schools had a higher score for quality attributes and in middle and high school dining halls had a higher score for quality attributes. The overall customer satisfaction with school foodservice was higher for dining halls than classrooms for all respondents (students, parents, and faculty). For students, the overall customer satisfaction score was 69.1 for schools using dining halls and 66.4 for schools using classrooms. The overall customer satisfaction for classrooms was higher in elementary school but, this score for middle and high school was higher for dining halls. Therefore, students prefer dining halls to classrooms. Especially, as the students grow, they have an increased preference for dining halls.
