Cross - Agglutinin Adsorption 방법에 의한 렙토스피라균의 혈청학적 분석(1985)
박경석,오희복,조민기 대한미생물학회 1986 大韓微生物學會誌 Vol.21 No.3
To clarify the existing serological varieties of Leptospira interrogans in Korea, 15 iso1ates of 1985 were serologically studied by cross agglutinin adsorption test. Fourteen cultures except HS 7 belonged to serogroup Icterohemorrhagiae. Isolate HM 3 and HV 8 were considered to belong to serotype mwogolo by their low residual homologous antibody(0.08 to 6.25 %) after cross adsorption with serotype mwogolo referene culture and antiserum. Both residual homologous antibody of isolate HS 7 and serotype canicola reference culture remained 1.56%, accordingly HS 7 proved to belong to serotype canicola. The agglutinogens of isolate H$gt;2, AP3, AP4, AP7 and AP9 are red to closely related to serotype mwogolo, and HM4 and HS6 to serotype birkini, which remained to be further studied. The remaining 5 strains(HY1, HS5, HY10, 310-9, 310-19) could not be attached to any known serotype of Icterohemorrhagiae serogroup by cross adsorption test.

The new regionalism has expanded since the middle of the 1980's. It is distinguished from the old regionalism that spread during the 1960's in four aspects. First, the new regionalism get supports from the most of the developed countries, including the United States of America. Second, regional economic agreements concluded under the new regionalism aim to abolish non-tariff barriers as well as tariff barriers. Third, a regional economic agreement comprise both developed and developing countries, not a group of countries with a similar economic development. Lastly, trade liberalization negotiations between two regional economic agreements are in progress. The crisis of the GATT multilateral trading system is the direct cause of the expansion of the new regionalism. But the most important cause for this expansion is the globalisation of the world economy. It is not certain that firms and countries get benefits from the globalisation, especially when they have no competitiveness in the world market. Regional economic agreements may offer them times and opportunities to adapt themselves to the globalisation. The regionalism may cause commercial conflicts between member and non-member countries, owing to its discriminating nature against non-member countries. The open regionalism is the only possible form of regionalism of compatible with trade and investment liberalization f the world economy. There are two options for the open regionalism : conditional and unconditional. The conditional open regionalism matches with the fair trade which has been reinforced under the WTO regime. But all non-member countries will not accept reciprocal concessions with member countries. In that case, the problem of discrimination against non-membership remains. The unconditional open regionalism may accelerate the ongoing process of trade and investment liberalization. The free rider problem must be resolved for this option, however. Otherwise, there is no incentive for a country to participate in regional economic agreements. It is necessary to rectify the provisions of WTO concerning regional economic agreements to reflect such changes in the world econorruc enmronments.
