충진제의 함량, titanate계 coupling agent의 종류, 처리량에 따른 PVC-Ni 복합재의 전기적.기계적 성질을 연구하였다. coupling agents처리에 의해 충진제의 분산상태가 양호해지고, 충진제 표면의 불순물이 대체되어 복합재의 전기저항은 감소되며 기계적 성질을 연구하였다. coupling agent처리에 의해 충진제의 분산상태가 양호해지고, 충진제 표면의 불순물이 대체되어 복합재의 전기저항은 감소되며 기계적 성질들은 향상되나 과량의 coupling agent의 처리는 이들 효과를 상쇄함을 보였다. The effect of titanate coupling agents on the electrical and mechanical properties of conductive poly (vinyl chloride)-nickel composite was studied as functions of filler concentration, the variation of the amount of titanate coupling agents and the type of titanate coupling agents. It was found that the electrical and mechanical properties of PVC-Ni system were improved by the treatment of titanate coupling agents, but the excessive use of titanate coupling agents influenced to give worse properties.
Bentone-Polyethylene Thickened Greases

벤톤-폴리에틸렌 및 벤톤-폴리프로필렌을 적당한 온도에서 광유에 분산시키므로써 점토-고분자를 농조제로 사용한 그리이스를 만들었으며, 내마모성, 내수성, 산화안정성, 혼화안정성 및 직점등의 그리이스의 물성을 측정하였다. 그리이스의 성질중 내수성과 같이, 좋지 못한 성질이 간혹 나왔으나 이들 그리이스의 성상을, 이 실험에서 만든 점토-금속비누 그리이스의 성상과 비교 검토할 때 특수목적에 쓸 수 있음을 알았다. Clay-polymer thickened greases were made by dispersing bentone-polyethylene and bentone-atactic polypropylene into mineral oil at an adequate temperature, and the physical properties such as wear and water washout characteristics, oxidation and shear stabilities, and dropping point of the greases were tested. Even if the greases failed to meet some properties, it was found that those greases can be used for some special purposes, by observing and comparing the properties with those of clay-metallic soap thickened greases that were made in this experiment.

Four-ball EP and wear testers were used to study the effects of thickeners and additives on the EP and wear properties of some Korean greases. The EP property improved in the order of Li < Al < Ca, and the concentration of thickener did not affect the property when the same base oil and additives were used. The anti-wear property was improved in general when the additives were used.

국산 벤토나이트를 분자량이 큰 imidazolines과 반응시켜 벤톤을 만들었으며 벤토나이트의 양이온 교환율이 100meq/100g이상이 됨을 알았다. 제조한 벤톤은 윤활유에 분산시키고 three-roll mill로 milling 한 후 그리이스를 만들었다. 이들 그리이스의 주도 (microscale로), 정상상태에서의 산화 안정도, 내수성, 및 내 마모성은 ASTM방법에 의하여 시험하였고 매우 좋은 실험결과를 얻었다. Bentones from Korean bentonites were first prepared by reacting bentonites with high molecular weight imidazolines. The cation exchange capacity of bentonites was found more than 100meq/100g sample. Greases were then prepared by dispersing bentones into a lubricating oil and milling through a three-roll dispersion mill. Consistency in microscale, oxidation stability (static), water resistance, and wear property of the greases were tested by the ASTM methods, and good experimental results were obtained.
