척수손상 장애인의 독립적인 일상생활 활동을 위한 음성인식 웨어러블 디바이스 도출: 포커스 그룹 인터뷰

본 연구는 척수손상 장애인의 일상생활에 필요한 기능과 디자인 형태를 도출하기 위해 음성인식 웨어러블 디바이스 개발 연구를 수행하였다. 연구방법은 Krueger와 Casey가 제시한 질문 방식에 기반하여 6명의 척수손상 장애인을 대상으로 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 인터뷰 자료 분석에는 개방 코딩, 범주화, 범주 확인으로 진행되는 반복적 비교분석법을 사용하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 참여자들은 필요 기능 및 요구 형태라는 두 가지 주요 주제를 도출하였다. 이 주제들은 ‘만능 리모컨’, ‘LCD 터치스크린’, ‘건강 상태 모니터링’, ‘셀룰러 기능’, ‘리버스 넥밴드 형태’, ‘스마트 워치 형태’, ‘목걸이 형태’라는 의미 단위로 귀결되었으며, 가전제품 제어, 즉각적인 피드백, 시각적 피드백, 주문 확인, 현재 심박수 확인, 적절한 심박수 테스트, 체온 자주 확인, 체온 상승 알림, Wi-Fi 없이 사용, 휴대폰 없이 사용, 넥밴드 유형, 이어폰은 불편함, 기능적인 목 움직임, 경험해본 유형, 고무 밴드, 신체에 부착, 손 기능 보조라는 개념이 도출되었다. 본 연구는 척수손상 장애인의 일상생활을 위한 음성인식 인터페이스 기반의 웨어러블 디바이스 개발에서 필요한 기능과 디자인 형태를 제시하였다. 향후 척수손상 장애인의 만족스러운 일상생활을 위한 음성인식 인터페이스 기반의 웨어러블 디바이스 개발에 성공적으로 적용되고 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. This study sought to develop a voice-activated wearable device for people with spinal cord injuries by identifying the functions and design forms needed for their daily lives. Focus group interviews were conducted, based on the questionnaire method proposed by Krueger and Casey, with six people who had suffered a spinal cord injury. Iterative comparative analysis was used to analyze the interview data, which comprised open coding, categorization, and category checking. As a result, two main themes emerged from the participants: needed functions and needed forms. These themes were translated into the semantic units of universal remote control, liquid crystal display (LCD) touch screen, health monitoring, cellular functionality, reverse neckband form, smartwatch form, and necklace form, and included the following perceptions/functions: Control of home appliances, instant feedback, visual feedback, order confirmation, checking the current heart rate, testing for the proper heart rate, checking the body temperature frequently, notification of elevated temperature, use without Wi-Fi, use without a cell phone, neckband type, perception that earphones are uncomfortable, functional neck movement, types experienced, rubber band, need for attachment to the body, and assisting the hand function. This study presented the necessary functions and design forms for the development of wearable devices based on a voice recognition interface to facilitate the daily activities of people with spinal cord injuries. In the future, these findings could be successfully applied to the development of wearable devices based on voice recognition interfaces to enhance the daily life of people with spinal cord injuries and utilized as a basic material for research on such devices.

정신장애인을 대상으로 직업재활서비스를 제공하는 작업치료사의 업무 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

목적 : 본 연구는 정신장애인을 대상으로 직업재활서비스를 제공하는 작업치료사의 업무 경험에 대한 이해를 통해 향후 직업재활 영역에서 작업치료사의 역할, 과제와 전망, 재활 성공사례 등을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 적용하여, 정신장애인에게 직업재활 서비스를 제공하는 작업치료사 8명에게 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 사전 동의를 통해 인터뷰 영상은 녹화되었고, 녹화된 자료는 Colaizzi의 6단계에 현상학적 분석방법에 따라 분석하였다. 결과 : 3개의 주제와 9개의 개념, 19개의 의미단위, 60개의 중심의미를 도출하였다. 직업재활서비스를 제공하는 작업치료사의 역할은 상담자, 평가자, 중재자, 연계자로 나타났다. 향후 과제와 전망으로는 커리큘럼, 직업재활 수가체계 개편, 직업에 대한 인식 재확립으로 나타났다. 또한, 성공적인 직업재활에 대해서는 취업 장소와 직업재활의 효과를 언급하였다. 결론 : 본 연구결과는 정신장애인을 대상으로 직업재활서비스를 제공하는 작업치료사의 직업재활 영역에서 개선되어야 할 과제와 전망을 제시하였으며, 향후 보다 전문성있는 직업재활 전문 작업치료사를 양성하기 위한 가이드라인과 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. Objective : This study attempted to understand the role, task, and prospects of vocational therapists in the field of vocational rehabilitation in the future by understanding the work experience of vocational therapists providing vocational rehabilitation services to mentally disabled people. Methods : In-depth interviews were conducted with eight occupational therapists who provide vocational rehabilitation services to mentally disabled people by applying Zorgi s phenomenological research method. Interview videos were recorded with prior consent, and the recorded data were analyzed according to the Collage 6-step phenomenon analysis method. Results : Three themes, nine concepts, 19 semantic units, and 60 central meanings were derived. The role of occupational therapists in providing vocational rehabilitation services was found to be counselors, evaluators, mediators, and links. Future tasks and prospects were curriculum, vocational rehabilitation expense system reform, and vocational consciousness re-establishment. In addition, for successful vocational rehabilitation, the employment location and the effect of vocational rehabilitation were mentioned. Conclusions : The results of this study presented tasks and prospects to be improved in the field of vocational rehabilitation for occupational therapists who provide vocational rehabilitation services for the mentally disabled, and could be used as guidelines and basic data to cultivate more professional vocational rehabilitation experts in the future.

수·전동 휠체어 개발을 위한 수동휠체어 간 비교 사용성 평가 : 지체장애인을 중심으로

본 비교 사용성 평가는 휠체어 사용자들이 지역사회에서 경험할 수 있는 지형 및 장애물이 설치된 연구 시설에서 지체장애인 5명을 대상으로 이동 보조기기에 대한 이해가 있는 연구자들에 의해 수행되었다. 수동휠체어 간 사용성을 비교하였으며, 이를 통해 사용자들의 휠체어 구매 의사결정 시 영향을 미치는 사용성과 사용자에게 더 적합한 수·전동휠체어를 만들기 위해 고려되어야 하는 요소를 분석하였다. 연구에서 사용된 수·전동휠체어는 대만 K사 제품으로, 연구 참여에 동의한 참여자들은 3개의 시나리오, 12개의 과제로 구성된 평가 순서에 따라 개인 휠체어로 1회, K사 수·전동휠체어로 1회 총 2회 코스를 주행하였다. 주행 결과 한 명의 참여자는 K사 제품으로 주행 시 1회 오류를 범하였다. 과제 소요 시간과 RPE(Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion Scale), DRS(Difficulty Rating Scale)를 통해 두 제품을 비교한 결과 K사 제품은 시간의 효율은 떨어졌지만(+0.2초), 노력의 정도(-2.38점)와 어려움의 정도(+1.24점)는 효율적인 것으로 확인되었다. 만족도는 ARS(Acceptability Rating Scale)의 비교를 통해 K사 제품이 더 수용할 수 있는 것(+1.1점)으로 확인하였고, SUS(System Usability Scale)의 점수를 분석한 결과 K사 수ㆍ전동휠체어에 대한 전체 참여자의 사용성 및 만족도는 75.2점으로 B등급/‘Good’ 정도의 사용성으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 국제표준을 근거하여 사용성을 정의하고, 특정 집단인 휠체어 사용 장애인들을 직접 연구에 참여시킴으로써 학술적인 의의를 높였으며, 추후 국내업체에서는 실용적인 수ㆍ전동휠체어 개발을 위해 개발과정부터 실제 사용자의 사용성을 지속해서 연구하는 것이 필요하다고 사료된다. This comparative usability test was conducted by researchers with an understanding of mobility aids. Five physically disabled subjects were enrolled in research facilities having terrains and obstacles that wheelchair users experience in the community. The usability of manual wheelchairs was compared, and usability factors that affect the users wheelchair purchase decisions were analyzed. The results were applied to determine the factors that need to be considered in manufacturing a suitable manual and power hybrid wheelchair. Participants maneuvered the wheelchairs under test conditions comprising 3 scenarios and 12 tasks. The effectiveness of the two products under assessment was not significantly different. A comparison of the two products showed that the K product had a low driving efficiency (+0.2 seconds) but the degree of effort (-2.38 points) and difficulty (+1.24 points) were more efficient. The satisfaction was also confirmed to be more acceptable (+1.1 points) for Ks product. Analysis of the SUS (System Usability Scale) score determined that the overall usability and satisfaction of Ks manual and power wheelchair were 75.2 points, which is rated as B and Good usability. The academic significance of this study is augmented by defining the usability based on international standards and by the direct participation of a specific group of wheelchair users. We propose the necessity for domestic companies to conduct continuous usability studies for the development process.
