비 내리는 현상에 대한 만 3-5세 유아의 개념 유형 분석

본 연구는 비 내리는 현상에 대한 만 3-5세 유아의 개념 유형과 개념 유형의 연령별 경향성을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 세종시에 위치한 2개 어린이집의 만 3-5세 유아 62명을 대상으로, 연구자가 선행연구를 기초로 구성한 인형극 형식의 면담을 기초로 자료를 수집하였다. 연구결과 `비의 속성`에 대한 개념 유형은 4가지로서 `무관심 및 무응답`, `물리적 속성 인식`, `직관적 인식`, `주관적 상상` 유형으로 범주화되었고 `비의 생성`에 대한 개념 유형은 5가지로서 `무관심 및 무응답`, `현상적 특성 인식`, `주관적 상상`, `사회적 지식의 일반화`, `사회적 지식을 활용한 주관적 추론` 유형으로 범주화되었다. `비의 속성`에 대한 이해를 보면 만 3세의 경우 `무관심 및 무응답`이 가장 많은 반면 만 4, 5세는 물이라는 `물리적 속성 인식`을 가장 많이 나타냈다. `비의 생성`에 대한 이해를 보면 만 3-5세 모두 `현상적 특성 인식`이 가장 많이 나타났다. 두 번째 많은 반응은 만 3세의 경우 `무관심 및 무응답`이었고 만 4-5세의 경우에는 모두 `사회적 지식의 일반화` 유형으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to illustrate how children aged three-to-five years old understand the mechanism of rainfall and to reveal possible differences according to age. A total of 62 children participated in this study at two daycare centers in Sejong City. Data was collected in the manner of using puppets in an interview based on previous research. Study results regarding the `properties of the rain` can be categorized into four types of concepts: `unconcerned or non-response`, `cognition of physical characteristics`, `intuitive cognition`, `subjective imagination`. Responses about `formation of the rain` can be categorized into five categories as follows: `unconcerned or non-response`, `cognition of phenomenological characteristics`, `subjective imagination`, `generalization using social knowledge`, `subjective inference using social knowledge`. Regarding `properties of the rain`, the most common response among three-year-old children was under the category of `Be unconcerned or Non-response` while the age group of four-to-five year-old children made comments under the `cognition of physical characteristics`. In the category for the `formation of the rain`, the most common type of category responded to was `cognition of phenomenological characteristics`. The second most common type of category responded to among three year-olds was `unconcerned or non-response`. On the other hand, the second most common type of category responded to among four to five year-olds was `generalization using social knowledge`.
