        Effect of Tannic Acid and ${\alpha}$-Tocopherol as an Antioxidant on Methyl Linoleate Autoxidation and Inhibitor of Lipoxygenase in Phospholipid

        Methyl linoleate의 자동산화와 인지질에 작용하는 lipoxygenase의 활성에 미치는 탄닌산과 알파토코페롤의 영향을 HPLC로 조사하였다. 반응혼합물은 methyl linoleate 70mM, 라디칼 생성체 AMVN와 탄닌산 및 알파토코페롤 각각 0.7mM를 함유하였다. Hydroperxide 생성량을 측정하여 탄닌산과 알파토코페롤이 상당히 좋은 항상화제임을 알았고, 인지질 1${\mu}M$에 탄닌산과 알파토코페롤을 각각1${\mu}M$ 함유한 혼합물에 효소를 첨가하여 활성 억제효과를 측정하여, 탄닌산과 알파토코페롤이 좋은 효소 활성 억제작용을 하고 있음을 알았다. In order to investigate the effect of tannic acid and ${\alpha}$-tocopherol on methyl linoleate autoxidation and on inhibition activity of lipoxygenase in phospholipid, the rate of formation of methyl linoleate hydroperoxide was measured by HPLC. The reaction mixture contained methyl linoleate 70mM, radical initiator AMVN 0.7mM, tannic acid and ${\alpha}$-tocopherol 0.7mM, each, in a mixture of hexane/isopropanol(1 : 1, v/v). Under this reaction condition, tannic acid was good enough antioxidant. The tannic acid and ${\alpha}$-tocopherol for the inhibition activivity of lipoxygenase were measured at the reaction conditions: phospholipid $1{\mu}M$. tannic acid and ${\alpha}$-tocopherol were reacted as an inhibitor of lipoxygenase in phospholipid, especialy in phosphatidy lcholine.

        집 토끼의 Blood Cholesterol Level에 미치는 몇가지 식물성(植物性) 식용유(食用油)의 영향

        집토끼를 일정한 조건 하에서 기본 식이에 식물성 식용유를 첨가하여 콜레스테롤에 어떠한 영향을 주는가를 조사하였다. 1. 체중 변화에 있어서 실험군의 평균 체중의 변화는 대조군(對照群)이 16.3g/day 이었고 들깨기름 급여군은 18.2g/day로 가장 성장률이 좋았다. 2. 간장의 무게는 대조군(對照群)이 30.35g이고 들깨 기름 및 미강유 급여군의 무게는 각각 38.25과 39.54g으로 나타났다. 3. 혈청 콜레스테롤 값은 대조군(對照群)이 71.55mg/100 ml 이었고 참깨기름 급여군은 112.0mg/100 ml로 가장 높게 나타났다. 4. 간장 콜레스테롤 값은 대조군(對照群)과 들깨 기름 급여군이 각각 255.0 mg/100 ml 이었고 콩기름 급여군이 317.5 mg/100 ml로 가장 높게 나타났다. 5. 혈청 단백질에 있어서 총(總) 단백질(蛋白質)은 큰 차이가 없었으나 alpha-1-globulin에 있어서 대조군(對照群)은 0.60%인데 콩기름 및 미강유 급여군은 각각 0.35와 0.32%로 상당히 낮게 나타났고 alpha-2-globulin에 있어서는 대조군(對照群)이 0.68%인데 미강유 급여균이 0.26%로 나타났다. 6. 혈당은 대조군(對照群)이 40.34mg/100 ml인데 들깨 기름 급여군만이 77.0mg/100ml 로서 가장 높았고 다른군은 모두 낮았다. 7. 혈청(血淸) 콜레스테롤 값과 alpha-1-globulin 및 간(刊) 콜레스테롤 값 과 gamma-globulin 사이에 정 상관성을 보였고 혈당과는 별 상관이 없게 나타났다. The effect of dietary vegetable oils, sesame, perilla, soybean and rice bran oils, on the blood cholesterol level of rabbit was examined using isocaloric and isonitrogenous diets. The gain in body weight, liver weight, serum and liver cholesterol levels, globulin, blood sugar and acid phosphatase activity in relation to cholesterol level were studied. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The gain in body weight (g/day) of rabbit was 16.3 for control, 15.3 for A, 18.3 for 15.3 for A, 18.3 for B, 15.3 for C and 18.1 for D groups. 2. Liver weight of the control A, B, C and D groups were 30.35, 37.25, 38.25, 31.05 and 39.54, respectively. 3. Serum cholesterol levels (mg/100 ml serum) of the control, A, B, C, and D groups were 71.5, 112.0, 110, 93 and 96 respectively. 4. Liver cholesterol levels (mg/100 ml liver fat) of the control, A, B, C and D groups were 255, 292, 255, 317 and 195 respectively. 5. The contents of alpha-1-globulin for control was 0.60 %, for C, 0.35 % and for D groups, 0.32% of total globulin. The content of alpha-2-globulin for control was 0.68 % of total globulin and for D, 0.26 % of total globulin. 6. The contents of blood glucose (mg/100 ml) of the control, A, B, C and D groups were 40.34, 22.37, 77.0, 28.6 and 34.1 respectively. 7. Acid phosphatase of the control, A, B, C, and D groups were 3.95, 4.52, 3.98, 4.55 and 4.53 nM/hr/l serum respectively. 8. According to the regression and correlation in coefficient in blood components of rabbit, there were positive correlations between serum cholesterol and alpha-1-globulin, and between liver cholesterol and gamma-globulin.

        광주시민의 식이구성에 관한 조사연구

        In order to understand the diets of Gwangju city resident, nutrition survey was carried out through four years from 1974 to 1977.<br/> 1. Average intake of nutritional elements for an adult per day was 580. 25gr in 1974, 583. 62gr in 1975, 599. 13gr in 1976, and 597. 72gr in 1977.<br/> 2. Average calorie distribution of the nutritional elements per adult per day was 13.51% protein, 4.70% fat and 81.08% carbohydrate in 1974; 11.6% protein, 7.1% fat and 81.3% carbohydrate in 1975; 15.0% protein, 4.9% fat and 80.1 % carbohydrate in 1976; 13.79% protein, 4.3% fat, and 82% carbohydrate in 1977.<br/> 3. The ratio of the animal protein to total protein consumed was 20.01% in 1974, 25.89% in 1975, 26.01% in 1976, and 29.38% in 1977.<br/> 4. In aspect of calorie, taken-in calorie was 2456.91 cal in 1974, 2515.10 cal in 1975, 2544. 58 cal in 1976, and 2519.08 cal in 1977. However most of calorie were lower than the R.D.A. (3000cal).<br/> 5. The amount of ingested protein was 78.18 gr in 1974, 87.61 gr in 1975, 89,93 gr in 1976, and 81. 65gr in 1977. The amount was higher than the R.D.A. (80gr) except 1974’ s protein amount.<br/> 6. As for fat consumption, it was 27.18 gr in 1974, 40.96gr in 1975, 29.61gr in 1976, and 25.64gr in 1977. But these values were much lower than the R.D.A. (40gr) except for 1975’s.<br/> 7. In aspect of the minerals (Fe, Ca), intake of Ca was 462.34mg in 1974, 400.07 mg in 1975, 488.14 mg in 1976 and 440.95mg in 1977. The consumption of Ca was lower than the R.D.A. (600mg). Fe was 10.27mg in 1974, 8.54mg in 1975, 11.36mg in 1976 and 20.84mg in 1977. Most of them were higher than the R.D.A. (10mg) except 1975.<br/> 8. It was found that thiamine and riboflavin were ingested slightly higher than the R.D.A. (1.4mg, vit. B₁1.6mg, vit. B₂). The amount of niacin and ascorbic acid were also higher than the R.D.A. except 15.41mg of niacin in 1975.

        측백열매에 관한 연구(4) - 과피의 물추출액이 토끼의 혈장콜레스테롤, 혈당, 과산화지질 및 지방산 분포에 미치는 영향. -

        측백을 물로 추출하여 추출액을 토끼에게 4주간 급여하여 사육시키고 혈장을 분리하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.<br/> 1. 실험식이 기간동안 체중변화는 대조군과 실험군이 큰 변화가 없이 증가되었으며 간장의 무게는 다같이 43±5g이었다.<br/> 2. 혈당, 콜레스테롤, 트리글리세라이드, 지질과산화물은 대조군에 있어서 보다 낮은 값을 보였고, 2㎖/㎏을 급여한 실험군에 있어서 모두 낮은 값을 나타냈다.<br/> 3. 지방산 조성은 대조군과 실험군에 있어서 큰 차이는 없으나 C_(16:0)은 실험군에 있어서는 아주 높은 값(50%이상)을 보였고, n-3/n-6 ratio가 0.31이상으로 p/s ratio가 감소함을 보였다.<br/> 4. 이상의 결과로 측백의 물 추출액을 급여하면, 혈당, 콜레스테롤, 지질과 산화물, 트리글리세라이드를 감소 시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. The effect of Thuja biotae water extract on lipid composition, blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride and lipid hydroperoxide was studied in rabbits. In the animalfed Thuja biotae water extract 1㎖/㎏ or 2㎖/㎏, blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride and lipid hydroperoxide was lower values than the control group. The lipid composition of plasma was not great differencies, but palmitic acid C_(16:0) was very elevated with higher than 50%, n-3/n-6 ratio was higher than 0.3 and p/s ratio was higher than 4.0.<br/> It was concluded that Thuja biotae water extract may be one of the blood glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride level lowering factor.

        마그네슘 및 칼슘이 혈청콜레스테롤 농도 저하에 미치는 영향 (II)

        The effects of dietary magnesium, calcium on the serum cholesterol concentration in rabbit was studied for a period of 21 days using isocalorids and isonitrogenous basal diet. It is investigated that the serum cholesterol level lowering by feeding with calcium, magnesium, sesame oil and perilla oil, did not appeared but perilla oil and magnesium feeding group appeared a little bit lowering. There was no effect for the total protein, but there was some sort of effect for albumin and globulin. Particulary, alpa-globulin was increased by calcium, magnesium, sesame oil and perilla oil feeding groups. The esterified cholesterol was increased at the magnesium and perilla oil diet group. It is also, investigate that there is almost no effect for the electrolytes concentration and transport phenomena in the cell through magnesium, calcium, sesame oil and perilla oil diet groups.

        食用昆蟲으로서 누에 성장에 따른 아미노산含量 變化에 관한 硏究

        食用昆蟲으로서 누에와 번데기를 分析하여 蛋白質과 amino acid 含量을 알았고 이를 利用할 수 있는 可能性을 알아보았다.<br/> (1) 누에와 번데기에 對하여 蛋白質을 定量한 結果, 54.9~56% 정도의 蛋白質이 含有되어 있음을 알았다.<br/> (2) 유리아미노산의 定量과 組成을 조사하였더니 tryptophan 을 除外한 大部分의 아미노산이 함유되어 있으며 성장하여감에 따라 含量도 크게 變하고 있음을 알게 되었다.<br/> (3) 炭水化物로서 sucrose, glucose, fructose가 含有되어 있음을 확인하였다.<br/> (4) milk와의 反應을 40℃ 항온조에서 방치하면서 pH와 酸度變化를 보았는데, 약 8時間동안 40℃ 항온조에 놓아두는 경우 酸度는 약 8時間동안에는 별 변동이 없고, 그 後에 變化가 심했다. Silkworm and silkworm-chrysalis as an edible insect have been investigated. Through this investigation, the following results are obtained :<br/> 1) Silkworm and silkworm-chrysalis as a good source of protein-rich compound was examined, and they contained 54.9% to 56% protein as a crude protein.<br/> 2) Except tryptophan, almost all the essential amino acids contained. The amount of the amino acids was on the increased as much as the silkworm growth.<br/> 3) The following amino acids was not detected on the silkworm fibron analysis, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, cystine and methionine. But the following amino acid were relatively high amount : glycine, alanine, and tyrosine.<br/> 4) Sucrose, fructose, and glucose as a carbohydrates was investigated, the results are from 0.312% to 0.313% as an invert sugar; 0.289% to 0.305% as a glucose; 0.333% to 0.412% as a fructose.<br/> 5) The acidity and pH of the milk was examined according to the silkworm-chrysalis powder added. added material was not effected as far as the milk was change. Therefore, the milk and the silkworm-chrysalis mixture are being a good drinkable things.

        脂質代謝에 관여하는 因子

        It is now generally accepted that individuals at increased risk for cardiovascular disease may be identified by certain traits or habbits. The factors such as high blood pressure, elevated blood cholestrol, age, sex and obesity are associated with increseaed frequency of disease.<br/> The blood cholesterol level lowering will decrease cardiovascular disease risk. The regression of atherosclerosis can be achieved by lowering the level of circulating cholesterol. Those things are connected with the quantity and quality of protein, fats, carbohydrates, especially soluble and non-soluble fiber, magnesium and calcium.<br/> The lipoprotein and lipid metabolism are connected with the lipid transport. The factors on lipid absorption and blood serum lipid pattern of human are exist. The factors have a variety of materials with different chemical and physical properties.<br/> The soluble fiber diet make a low blood and liver lipids. Many kind of soluble fiber results in a lowering of blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The cholesterol lowering effects of dietery fiber may be a results of alterations of in intestinal handling of fats, hepatic metabolism of fatty acid or triglyceride acid metabolism of lipoprotein.<br/> It is investigated that the high density lipoprotein (HDL) is inversely related to coronary artery disease. It has been postulated that HDL may be an important factor in cholesterol efflux from the tissues, therby reducing the amount of cholesterol deposited there. Alternatively, the HDL may pick up cholestyl ester and phospholipid during normal VLDL lipolysis in the plasma.<br/> The HDL levels are relatively insensitive to diet. At present time, the cause-and -diet effect of HDL's inverse relation to CHD remains unclear.

        맨드라미 뿌리의 물 추출물질의 지방산과 아미노산의 조성

        Composition of fatty acids and amino acids in water extracted material of cooks comb plant root was studied by HPLC and GC-MS. There are 14 kinds of fatty acids in water extracted material of cockscomb plant root, especially, hexadecadienoic acid(C_(16:2)) was contained. Tricoasnoic acid, lignoceric acid, cerotic acid and 1,1'-[3-(2-cuclopentylethyl:dene)-1,5-pentanediyl] bis-cyclopentane were identified by HPLC and GC-MS. There are 16 kinds of acids containing α-aminobutyric acid in water extracted material of cockscomb plant root.

        광주의 여수지방에 있어서 일부시민의 식이구성에 관한 연구

        The diets of Gwangju and Yeosu city residents, nutrition survey was carried out both 1979 and 1980 year.<br/> 1. Average intake of nutritional elements for an adult per day was 654.88 gr.<br/> 2. Average Calorie distribution of the nutritional elements per adult per day was 17.85% for protein, 79.35% for carbohydrate, and 2.81% for Fat in Gwangju; 22.22% for protein, 73.88% for carbohydrate and 3.91% for Fat in Yeosu.<br/> 3. The ratio of the animal protein to total protein consumed was 75.09% in average. The amount of ingested protein, animal protein and plant protein were 130.05gr., 97.65gr. and 32.39gr. respectively.<br/> 4. In aspect of Calorie, take-in calorie was 2749.38 cal. which was lower than the RDA (3000 ㎈.).<br/> 5. In aspect of the minerals(Fe, Ca), the intake of Ca was 608.47㎎. in Gwangju, but 491.89㎎. in Yeosu. The intake of Fe in Gwangju and Yeosu were 13.21㎎. and 10.22㎎. respectively. The RDA for Fe, Ca were 600㎎. and 10㎎. respectively.<br/> 6. The amount of intaked thiamine and riboflavin were 1.48㎎. and 1.01㎎. respectively. The RDA of thiamine and riboflavin were 1.5㎎. and 1.8㎎. respectively.
