재즈 스탠다드(jazz standard) 개념의 기원과 미학적 원리: 미적 범주들의 포괄적 정의를 위한 시론

Jazz Music, as an art form, has multiple characteristics that differentiate it from other art forms structurally, including its composition, performance, improvisation, as well as its appreciation and criticizing. The concept of jazz standard implies its unique material practices that comprehends those aesthetical diversities in terms of the musical form, originating from the technical limitation of music industry of the initiative music recording, and also containing the meaning of commercial popularity of the pieces and improvisational instantiablilty claims. The creativity of jazz music is derived from violating and distorting the idea of original score, however, the concept of jazz standard contains and evolves to a direction of embracing and extending its own creative aesthetics, regarding itself as a sound structure of ontologically existing presentative art. In the way of evolvement of its own peculiarities, a jazz standard adopts a simple music notation method known as lead sheet, that served to develop the discipline and improvisational practice of variation in play based on the chord-scale system of the score. The purpose of this paper is to find a comprehensive definition with arbitrary categories of its aesthetic concepts that consist of composition, arrangement, form, perception, existence, and notation of jazz standard. 재즈 음악은 작곡, 연주, 즉흥연주를 통한 창작과정에 원곡의 재현과 즉흥성 평가 및 그에 대한 향유를 포괄하는 다층적 구조를 갖고 있으며, 이는 여타 예술들과 구분되는 주요 특성이다. 재즈 스탠다드 개념은 창작과 감상의 이와 같은 미학적 다층구조를 포괄하는 고유의 연주 제재를 의미하지만, 음악산업 현장의 기술적 한계, 상업적 인기곡의 이용, 연주의 용이성 요구 등과 연관해 유래한 용어이다. 재즈 음악의 창조성은 즉흥연주를 통한 원곡 아이디어에 대한 위배ㆍ왜곡에서 기원하는데, 이러한 특성은 재즈 스탠다드의 본래 개념을 수용하면서도 원본 구현 요구로부터 탈주하는 고유의 창조성을 확장하는 방식으로 진화했다. 이러한 확장성은 존재론적 측면에서 음악 작품의 현존성을 폐기하지 않으면서도 반복 예시 가능성을 구현하는 하나의 지시사항의 소리 구조로 이해될 때 음악 작품으로 현존할 수 있다. 이 때문에 재즈 스탠다드는 그와 같은 특성들을 반영하는 고유의 기보법을 채용했고, 이로부터 ‘화성-음계 체계’를 활용하여 즉흥연주를 가능케 하는 음악적 교육과 훈련 방식으로 발전했다. 이 논문은 재즈 음악의 이러한 양상들을 반영하는 임의의 범주들, 즉 ‘작곡, 편곡, 형식, 지각, 감상, 존재, 기보’ 등의 미학적 개념들을 제시하고 이를 토대로 재즈 스탠다드의 포괄적 정의에 도달하고자 하는 시도이다.

‘미전도 세대’ 란 주로 기독교 지역 안에서 발생하는 명목상 기독교인을 포함한 비기독교 세대를 의미한다. 그들은 민족적으로 오랜 기독교 역사 속에서 살아왔지만, 구원받지 못하고 전도받지 못한 채 살아가고 있다. 이 연구는 이러한 세대에 관심을 가지고 주님의 지상명령을 생취하는 데 이들을 복음화하는 것이 얼마나 긴요한 일인지를 역설한다. 랄프 윈터는 근대 선교의 역사를 3기로 구분하여 해안선 선교, 내지 선교 그리고 미전도 종족 선교 시대로 나누었다. 지금 많은 선교 단체가 미전도 종족 선교의 완성이 곧 세계 복음화의 완성이 될 것이라고 믿고 최선을 다하고 있다. 하지만 필지는 네 가지 요인, 즉 첫째로 필자의 러시아 선교 현장 경험, 둘째로 성경의 재발견, 셋째로 선교학자 데이비드 보쉬와 리처드 베일리의 선교 개념 그리고 지난 100년간의 세계 기독교 인구 통계표 분석을 통하여 미전도 종족 선교 운동의 한계성을 지적하며 새로운 제4기 선교 개념 ‘미전도 세대’ 선교 개념을 말한다. 선교적인 노력은 이교도 지역에서만 필요한 것이 아니라 기독교 지역에서도 필요하다. 성경은 이스라엘 땅에서도 선지자들을 통하여 선교 사역이 이루어졌음을 보여 주고 있다. 선교의 본질은 땅을 정복하는 것이 아니라 사람의 영혼을 하나님 중심으로 바꾸어 놓는 것이기 때문이다. 하지만 ‘미전도 세대’ 개념은 아직 개발 중에 있는 선교 개념이다. 미전도 종족 개념이 1930년에 시작되어 본격적으로 연구되고 미전도 종족을 선교하기 위한 조직과 방법론이 개발된 것은 1970년대 이후가 된 것처럼 시간이 걸릴 것이다. 앞으로 미전도 세대의 발생 원인에 대한 사회적 교회적 개인적 차원의 기존의 분석을 참고하고 ‘세대’라는 개념에 대하여 사회학적 이해를 연구하고, 다음 세대에 신앙을 계승시킬 수 있는 기독교교육학적 방법론을 아울러 함께 개발해 나간다면 미전도 세대를 복음화할 수 있는 선교학적으로 적절한 전략을 마련할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 이것은 앞으로 우리의 과제가 될 것이다.

Numerical study was carried out to analyze the characteristics of flow and temperature distribution of automotive catalytic converter with various geometries and driving conditions in steady state. The CFD software FLUENT using FVM method was used in this study. Monolith brick was modernled using porous media and heat generation effect on monolith brick was involved with heat source term in energy equation.<br/> It was found that the geometry of the catalytic converter and engine driving conditions had little effect on flow and temperature distribution within converter, and the flow distribution within monolith brick depended strongly on temperature distribution.

Macroglossia is a tongue pathology of multiple etiology as systemic disease like cerebral palsy and Down syndrome etc. It can cause abnormal oral conditions including anterior open bite or dyspnea by changing occlusion and oral habits. So many handicapped children who have macroglossia need to get surgery of large tongue to improve esthetics, function, and treatment stability. The purpose of this report is to evaluate 2 patients, one has cerebral palsy and the other lymphangioma, who have experience of glossectomy with review of literature.
