Background: Burnout syndrome (BOS) is defined by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed. This study aims to create the Korean version burnout syndrome scale (KBOSS) that conforms to WHO's definition of BOS and present the cut-off points for screening. Methods: We developed the KBOSS based on WHO's definition of BOS. An online survey was conducted through a specialized online research company. We recruited 444 workers for this research. The validity of the KBOSS was assessed using factor analysis and Pearson's correlation. The KBOSS reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The cut-off points for each of the three dimensions were derived using the upper quartile score. Results: The validity and reliability of the KBOSS were good. Regarding reliability, the scale's overall Cronbach's alpha was 0.813. Cronbach's alpha of each three-dimension was as follows: exhaustion, 0.916; cynicism, 0.865; and professional inefficacy, 0.819. The cut-off points of BOS three dimensions are exhaustion ≧ 21; cynicism ≧ 18; and inefficacy ≧ 15. Conclusion: The developed questionnaire (KBOSS) can be a useful tool for screening of BOS.

The prospect of the highway traffic road construction has led to resistance from residents, partly based on noise and vibration issues. Particularly, as tracks often pass closely to residential dwellings, constructors are then required to take account of noise and vibration. So the prediction of noise and vibration for highway traffic is very important thing. The highway traffic noise and vibration make one specific issue. For the highway traffic road, this paper concerns the noise by the wheel/tire and the structure-borne noise by the road. Based on the results, this paper proposes the source model of highway traffic noise and the calculation model for highway traffic noise. Also prediction model is presented with traffic noise which are calculated by considering the power level of a source for one-third octave band, ground absorption and barrier deflection. A lot of empirical data is needed to predict the noise and vibration. And one of the best ways to control the wayside noise is to analyze the noise level.

There is a considerable amount of research on metal material product worker’s hearing loss caused by noise that comes from manufacturing process. A further investigation that characterizes the sound that comes from manufacturing process of metal material products. however. To do this, a noise management plan is needed. It should include a generated sound process from the main sources of disturbance at manufacturing process areas. And a soundproof measurement will identify the amount of noise reduction needed for a hearing-safe working environment. Finally, researchers in this study measured tests on the noise and the vibration process, and the noise caused by operations allowed for an investigation on the suitability of certain environmental conditions. Noise-related programs can be used to predict the noise distribution of the noise level characteristic. This can help identify and reduce the presence of sound interference through sound proofing measures.

So the prediction of noise and vibration for train is very important thing. The train noise and vibration nearby the elevated railway make one specific issue. For the elevated railway, this paper concerns the rolling noise by the wheel/rail and the structure-borne noise by the bridge. Based on the results, this paper proposes the source model of elevated structure-borne noise and the calculation model for elevated railway noise. Also prediction model is presented with rolling noise and elevated structure noise which are calculated by considering the power level of a source for one-third octave band, ground absorption and barrier deflection. A lot of empirical data is needed to predict the noise and vibration. And one of the best ways to control the wayside noise is to analyze the noise level.

The number of consumer bankruptcy filings are increasing in Korea. Consumer bankruptcy filings submitted to the court increased to 38,773 in 2005, from 12,317 a year before. The number has continuously risen with 329 in 2000, 672 in 2001, 1,335 in 2002, 3,856 in 2003. New bankruptcy code took effect on April 1st in 2006. The code is designed to integrate 4 separate laws, which are corporate reorganization code, composition code, individual debt rescheduling code, and liquidation code. This article tries to explain the new code, especially about consumer liquidation procedure, exemption procedure, and individual debt rescheduling procedure.
