Uranium Enrichment Determination Using a New Analysis Code for the U XKα Region: HyperGam-U

HyperGam-U was recently developed to determine uranium enrichment based on g- and Xrayspectroscopy analysis. The XKa region of the uranium spectrum contains 13 peaks for235U and 238U and is used mainly for analysis. To describe the X-ray peaks, a Lorentzianbroadened shape function was used, and methods were developed to reduce the number offitting parameters for decomposing the strongly overlapping peaks using channel-energy,energy-width, and energy-efficiency calibration functions. For validation, eight certifiedreference material uranium samples covering uranium enrichments from 1% to 99% weremeasured using a high-resolution planar high-purity germanium detector and analyzedusing the HyperGam-U code. When corrections for the attenuation and true coincidencesumming were performed for the detection geometry in this experiment, the goodness offit was improved by a few percent. The enrichment bias in this study did not exceed 2%compared with the certified values for all measured samples.

SLOT 운영 최적화 원천기술 사례 조사

본 연구는 Air Traffic Flow Management (이하 "ATFM")의 전략적 및 사전전술적 단계(Strategy Phase & Pre-Tactical Phase)에서 공항수용량의 이용률(Utilization)을 최대화하기 위한 SLOT 배정("SLOT 운영 최적화")을 위한 원천기술을 개발하는 데에 목적이 있다. 전략적 단계에서 항공사의 요청, Equality & Equity, SPOT, 수용량 가용, 이동시간을 고려한 SLOT 배분 전략 및 SLOT 배분 최적화에 관한 기초연구를 수행하기 위한 것으로, 향후 Data Driven Air Traffic Management (이하 "DDTAM") 또는 공항운영자가 사용할 수 있는 Initial Schedule인 SAL(Slot Allocation List)을 작성하여 공유할 수 있는 기술을 기초적으로 연구하고자 한다. 본 연구의 최종 성과물은 이 SAL을 작성하여 공항운영자(또는 SLOT 배분 협의체)에 제공해 주는 것이 가장 큰 목적이며, 1차년도에는 국내외 SLOT 운영방식 현황 조사 및 SLOT 최적화 기술의 동향을 분석하였다.

10종 꿀풀과(Lamiaceae) 식물 종자 추출물의 항산화 활성

This study explored plant-derived natural antioxidants by evaluating the antioxidant activity of Lamiaceae plant seed extracts. Plants with the percentage of filled seeds at or above 90% and seed germination at or above 50% were selected. Of the ten species studied, the total phenolic content of the seeds was high in the species Phlomis umbrosa Turcz. (6.2 mg GAEs/g of seeds) and Elsholtzia ciliata (Thunb.) Hyl. (4.5 mg GAEs/g of seeds). The total flavonoid content of the seeds was high in E. ciliata (1.0 mg QEs/g of seeds) and P. umbrosa (0.6 mg QEs/g of seeds). Based on the EC50 value of the seed extracts, 2,2-diphenyl- 1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity was high in the seeds of the plants E. ciliata (27.5 μg/mL), Mosla dianthera (Buch.- Ham. ex Roxb.) Maxim. (29.2 μg/mL), and Prunella vulgaris var. lilacina Nakai (33.3 μg/mL). In addition, 2,2'-Azino-bis(3- ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) radical scavenging activity was high in P. vulgaris var. lilacina (25.6 μg/mL), E. ciliata (25.9 μg/mL), and M. dianthera (27.6 μg/mL) seeds. The ferric reducing antioxidant power of the seed extracts was high in P. vulgaris var. lilacina (2910.4 μM Fe(II)/g of extract), E. ciliata (2836.2 μM Fe(II)/g of extract), and M. dianthera (2754.4 μM Fe(II)/g of extract). According to the cluster analysis based on antioxidant activity, the seeds of the ten species were classified into three groups, from group 1 with low antioxidant activity to group 3 with high antioxidant activity; E. ciliata, M. dianthera, and P. vulgaris var. lilacina were classified as group 3.

정조시대 龍珠寺 創建과 정치적 활용

Founded in the late Chosun Dynasty during the King Jeongjo period, Yongjusa Temple was built as a Memorial Temple for Crown Prince Sado. In the days when pro-Confucianism/anti-Buddhism was the founding ideology of the Chosun Dynasty, the Temple, led(spearheaded) by the king, naturally contains political intentions. Jeongjo, whose legitimacy of succession to the throne was weak after the death of the biological father Crown Prince Sado, moved the grave of Crown Prince Sado to Hwasan in Suwon, known as the most propitious site of the world for a grave(Cheonha Myeongdang), to secure his legitimacy and strengthen his kingship. Not only he moved his father’s tomb to the Hyeonryeongwon but he also built the Memorial Temple of Crown Prince Sado. However, it is not appropriate to evaluate that the establishment of Yongjusa Temple was due to Jeongjo’s filial piety. For the construction of Yongjusa Temple, King Jeongjo provided the cost of construction from the donation of the royal family, high-ranking officials, monks, and the people. It was also a popularization project for the restoration of the honor of the Crown Prince Sado to raise the amount in this way from all the people of Chosun. Having the premier Chae Je Gong write the Sangryangmun of Yongjusa Temple Daewoongbojeon, Gyujanggak Prosecutor Lee Deokmu write the Yongjusa Juryon, and opening the Mucha Contest on the day Samsebul was enshrined in Daewoongbojeon was to raise the status of Yongjusa. In addition, the king himself wrote the ‘Yongjusabong-bulgibokge’ and gave it to the people to recognize that he was the same as Chakravartin, a Buddha who was born through the fusion of Confucianism and Buddhism, and the enlightened king. In particular, it was the intention of establishing a new monk military system that maximizes its status by appointing haed of Yongjusa as the President monk of the monk military system of Chosun dynasty and making him control the monk soldier of the South and North mountain fortress, and was intended to establish a regional defense system in connection with Jang Yong-young and outer area stationed in Suwon. In addition to this, <Parent Eunjunggyeong> was given to Yongjusa Temple to make it the central school of filial piety, and emphasized that Confucian filial piety and Buddhism filial piety are not different. In particular, through the dissemination of <Parent Eunjunggyeong>, the Seohak, which was recognized as a heresy. which was recognized as a heresy by prohibiting the rites to ancestors at the time, was to checked. This thesis reveals the political intent and leverage of the founding and operation of Yongjusa Temple by Jeongjo through Saryo such as Ilseongrok, Suwonhaji chorock, and the Korean version of ‘Jeongriuigwe (Dolliuigwe)’ in France. 조선후기 정조시대 창건된 용주사(龍珠寺)는 장헌세자(莊獻世子, 사도세자)의 원찰(願刹)로 건립되었다. 숭유억불(崇儒抑佛)이 조선 건국 사상이던 시절에 국왕의 주도로 만들어진 사찰은 당연히 정치적 의도가 담겨 있다. 생부(生父)인 장헌세자의 죽음 이후 왕위 계승의 정통성이 취약한 정조(正祖)는 자신의 정통성의 확보와 왕권강화를 위해 장헌세자의 묘를 천하명당으로 알려진 수원 화산(花山)으로 천봉하였다. 현륭원(顯隆園) 천봉으로 그친 것이 아니라 장헌세자의 원찰을 건립했다. 그러나 이러한 용주사 창건이 정조의 효심에 의한 것이라고 평가하기에는 적절하지 않다. 정조는 용주사 건립을 위해 왕실 종친, 고위 관료, 승려, 그리고 백성들에게 시주를 통해 건립 비용을 마련하였다. 이렇게 조선 전 백성들 대상으로 시주금액을 마련한 것은 장헌세자의 명예 회복을 위한 대중화 사업이기도 했다. 재상인 채제공(蔡濟恭)에게 용주사 대웅보전 상량문을 쓰게 하고, 규장각 검서관 이덕무에게 용주사 주련을 쓰게 하고 대웅보전에 삼세불(三世佛)이 봉안된 날 무차대회(無遮大會)를 열게 한 것은 용주사의 위상을 높이기 위함이다. 그리고 국왕이 직접 ‘어제용주사봉불기복게(御製龍珠寺奉佛祈福偈)’를 지어 하사하며 백성들에게 자신이 유교와 불교의 융합으로 탄생한 부처이자 깨달은 국왕인 전륜성왕(轉輪聖王)과 같은 존재임을 인식시켜주고자 하였다. 특히 용주사 주지를 조선 승군의 승통(僧統)으로 임명하고 남북한산성의 승군들을 통제하게 하여 위상을 극대화한 것은 새로운 승군체제의 정립 의도이고, 수원에 주둔한 장용영외영과 연관하여 지역 방어체제를 구축하고자 함이었다. 여기에 더해 용주사에 『부모은중경(父母恩重經)』을 하사하여 효행의 중심도량으로 만들고, 유교의 효와 불교의 효(孝)는 다르지 않음을 강조하였다. 특히 『부모은중경』의 보급을 통해 당시 조상에 대한 제사를 금지하여 이단(異端)으로 인식되고 있던 서학(西學)을 견제하고자 하였다. 이단으로 이단을 제어하는 정치적 의도이자, 자신의 효행을 백성들에게 알리며 이를 통해 충심(忠心)을 요구하고자 것이다. 본 논문은 이와 같은 정조의 용주사 창건과 운영에 대한 정치적 의도와 활용을 일성록과 수원하지초록 그리고 프랑스 소재의 한글본 정리의궤(뎡리의궤) 등의 사료(史料)를 통해 밝히고 있다.

Smart EVs Charging Scheme for Load Leveling Considering ToU Price and Actual Datas

With the current global need for eco-friendly energies, the large scale use of Electric Vehicles (EVs) is predicted. However, the need to frequently charge EVs to an electrical power system involves risks such as rapid increase of demand power. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a practical smart EV charging scheme considering a Time-of-Use (ToU) price to prevent the rapid increase of demand power and provide load leveling function. For a more practical analysis, we conduct simulations based on the actual distribution system and driving patterns in the Republic of Korea. Results show that the proposed method provides a proper load leveling function while preventing a rapid increase of demand power of the system.
