LAC 교과목으로서 「명저읽기」 강좌의 방향 설정을 위한 모색

LAC's pursuing 'broad' education is not just the diversity of miscellaneous studies. Broadness is another name of depth which cannot be reached with the ‘depth’ pursued by major education. This paper is a study for developing course that is called a LAC course of college on the verge of LAC conversion. First of all, the problem facing us of this study is developing a course for 「Reading Classics」. While solving above problem, will simultaneously provide a clue to the 「The Understanding the World's Intellectual History」. Why should a university student read a book? On a stance of preparing LAC, Masterpiece contains a knowledge prior to instrumental use of major knowledge. Also there is a knowledge after its limited use. The purpose of the LAC curriculum is developing one and several lectures to approach toward the world of various masterpieces. This paper tried to find a way to meet this purpose. This study aimed at developing 「Reading Classics」 curriculum cannot be a study only naive-theoretically seeking academic possibility. It is educational philosophy called ‘Mind of Conversation’ that a core runs through all of these processes and goals. Instead of summarizing the discussions so far, the conclusion sought a way to 「The Understanding the World's Intellectual History」, a subject that should be developed next to 「Reading Classics」. The concept of rhizome text presented by G. Deleuze makes it easy to imagine the possibility of new access. Oedipus, for example, was seemed to be the case. LAC가 추구하는 ‘폭넓은’ 교육이란 단지 잡학의 다양성이 아니라 전공교육이 추구하는 ‘깊이’로는 도달할 수 없는 깊이의 다른 이름이다. 이 논문은 LAC 전환을 눈앞에 둔 대학이 LAC 교과목이라고 할 만한 강좌를 개발하기 위한 연구이다. 먼저 「명저읽기」 강좌를 개발하는 것이 이 연구의 당면 과제이다. 이 당면 과제를 해결하는 가운데서 동시에 「세계 지성사의 이해」로 가는 단초를 마련하고자 한다. 대학생이 왜 책을 읽어야 하는가. LAC를 준비하는 입장에서 말하자면 명저에는 전공지식의 도구적 쓰임새로 쓸모가 가다듬어진 도구적 지식 이전의 지식과, 그 한정적 쓰임새의 지식 이후의 지식이 있다. 하나이면서도 여럿인 강좌를 개발해서 다양한 명저들의 세계에 접근시킨다는 LAC 교과목 취지에 부합하는 방안을 모색해 보았다. 「명저 읽기」 교과목 개발을 목표로 하는 이 연구는 순수하게 이론적으로 학문적 가능성만을 타진하는 연구일 수 없다. 이 모든 프로세스와 목표를 관통하는 핵심이 있는데, 그것은 ‘대화의 정신’이라는 교육철학이다. 결론에서는 지금까지의 논의를 요약하는 대신에 「명저읽기」 다음으로 개발해야 하는 교과목인 「세계 지성사의 이해」로 가는 길을 모색해 보았다. 명저들의 세계를 영향관계의 인물사 중심으로 재편하는 가운데 지성사의 맥락이 잡힌다고 생각하는데, 들뢰즈가 제시하는 리좀 텍스트라는 개념은 새로운 접속의 가능성을 어렵지 않게 상상해 보게 한다. 예컨대, 오이디푸스의 경우가 그렇다고 보았다.

김훈 소설에서의 음식의 문제 - 장편 역사소설을 대상으로

This paper studies the food discourse, shown in these novels, regarding three historical novels “Song of the Sword”, “Song of Strings” and “Fortress on Mt. Namhan” by Kim Hoon. This study judges that it is worth to research the food appeared continuously even though the aspect of food discoursing in the development of narration. Kim Hoon’s novel tries to start something new story not only correct the ideology a little, accustomed to us, but break up with it completely. The food is an important axis of possibility of new story. The food is on, far away from our idealistic desire in the historical novel, but on the lower materialism. The food as the lower material has no various color of need and desire. However, it has mingled feelings of insult and jouissance in food as the primary and basic body’s need. The food of insult would rather close to the food of disillusion. Nevertheless, the food of jouissance, not corrupted, has the power to affirm the world to the contents of a meal. The destiny of the food is completed as night soil not extension of jouissance. The food and night soil has logical relationship as the input and output. This lower materials try to insult “the higher’ ideology and overturn of its own intrinsic value. That’s all, however. The food and night soil are not made a mystery as the lower material. It only becomes part of nature. 이 연구는 김훈의 『칼의 노래』, 『현의 노래』, 『남한산성』을 대상으로 이 소설들에 나타난 음식 담론을 고찰한다. 이 장편 역사소설들의 서사 전개에서 음식이 담론화되는 양상도 흥미롭지만, 일정한 변별적 자질로 지속적으로 출현하는 음식 문제는 탐구해볼 만한 가치가 있다는 것이 이 연구의 판단이다. 일단 김훈의 역사소설에서 음식은 우리의 이상주의적 열망과는 거리가 먼 ‘낮은 유물론’의 자리에 놓여 있다. 음식 같은 물적 조건이 전경화되면서 문명사의 위엄을 떠받치는 이데올로기 따위는 설 자리가 없어진다. 이것은 단지 피상적인 이데올로기 비판의 문제가 아니라 발본적인 부정의 문제이다. ‘낮은 물질’로서의 음식은 전쟁소설에서 욕구와 욕망의 다채로운 빛깔을 가지고 있는 것은 아니다. 그러나 가장 일차적이고도 근원적인 몸의 욕구로서의 음식에도 모욕과 주이상스가 교차한다. 모욕의 음식은 차라리 환멸의 먹이에 가깝다고 할 수 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 부정되지 않는 주이상스의 음식은 세계 내용을 다름 아닌 먹거리의 내용으로 긍정하는 힘을 가진 것이다. 김훈 소설에서 음식의 운명은 주이상스의 확대가 아니라 분뇨의 문제로 완성된다. 음식과 분뇨라는 이 낮은 물질들은 그 자체가 지닌 고유한 가치로 ‘높음’의 이데올로기를 모욕하고 전복시키고자 한다.

소설 읽기 교육의 정체성 -책 속의 ‘길’을 중심으로-

이 연구의 목표는 문학작품(소설)을 대상으로 한 읽기 교육의 정체성을 탐구하는 것이다. 정체성을 단지 식별하거나 소극적 기준을 확인하는 논의가 목표는 아니다. 실제 수업 유형이나 교수자의 역할에 대한 논급도 있지만, 대체로 정체성을 추구하고자 하는 이론적 탐구에 주력했다. 읽기 교육의 정체성은 무엇보다도 책 읽기의 내적 논리와 체험에서 나와야 한다고 생각했다. 그래서 책 속의 ‘길’을 주요 탐구 대상으로 삼았다. 독서가 내면 여행이라고 한다면, 책 속의 길 가기는 무엇인가? 길은 어떻게 구성되는가? 이런 실제적인 문제들에 대해 학문적인 논의가 가능하고 필요하다는 것을 이 연구는 보여 주고자 했다. 길은 내적 필연성과 논리정합성이 느껴지는 일정한 질서에로의 의미 지향성이다. 이 연구에서 길은 문학작품이 이해되는 내재적 원리이다. 그것은 단지 몇몇의 여로 모티브 같은 것으로 축소될 수 없는 것이다. 작품 속 길은 읽기 주체의 내면의 현실이기도 하다. 이 점에서 루카치의 이론은 매우 풍부한 함의를 갖고 있다고 이 연구는 판단했다. 그러나 소설 읽기와 소설 이론은 어떻게 거리를 가져야 하는가에 대한 논의도 빠트리지 않았다. 길은 어떻게 사후적(事後的)으로 구성되는가? 이해가 어떻게 자기초월과 자기혁명을 내재하고 있는가? 이런 문제들에 대해서는 방법론적으로 해석학의 논의를 빌려 논증하고자 했다. 길에 대한 논의가 읽기 교육의 정체성을 가리키고, 이 정체성에서 읽기 교육의 방법론이 도출되기를 기대한다. 마지막으로, 이 연구는 읽기 교육이 한 인간의 생애사라는 관점에서 볼 때 어떤 위치에 있는가를 제시했다. The goal of this paper is to explore the identity of reading education targeting literary works (novels). The goal is not simply to identify identity or to discuss negative criteria. There are discussions about actual class types or the role of instructors, but the focus is largely on theoretical explorations that seek identity. I thought that the identity of reading education should come from the internal logic and experience of reading books more than anything else. Therefore, I made the ‘way’ in books the main subject of my research. If reading is an inner journey, what is taking a way in a book? How is a way constructed? This study aimed to demonstrate that academic discussion on these practical issues is possible and necessary. A way is a semantic orientation toward a certain order that feels like an internal necessity. In this study, a way is the internal principle by which literary works operate. It cannot be reduced to just a few journey motifs. The way in a work is also the inner reality of the reading subject. In this respect, this study determined that Lukács’ theory has very rich implications. However, the discussion on how novel reading and novel theory should distance themselves was not left out. How is a way constructed after accident? How does understanding contain self-transcendence and self-revolution? I tried to argue these questions by borrowing the discussion of hermeneutics methodologically. I hope that the discussion of the way points to the identity of reading education, and that the methodology of reading education will be derived from this identity. Finally, this study presented the position of reading education from the perspective of a person's life history.

한국 비극소설의 기원적 양상- 한국 비극소설의 계보와 맥락(Ⅰ) ―

The Original Aspect of Korean Tragic Novel 비극성은 우리 근대문학의 근대성을 증거하는 뚜렷한 한 지표이다. 우리 근대소설에서는 운명론을 극복할 때 비로소 비극의 지평이 열린다고 말할 수 있다. 비록 비주류 양식으로서 우리 소설사에 결락된 부분으로 있지만, 이미 1910년대에 ‘비극소설’은 엄연했다. 그러나, 이때의 ‘비극소설’이라는 것은 진정한 의미의 비극과는 거리가 멀다. 현상윤의 <핍박>은 한국 근대 비극소설의 기원에 해당하는 작품이라고 할 수 있다. 비극의 주인공이 세상 속에 참여할 때, 적극적인 행동을 보여준다면 비극의 부정정신은 ‘투쟁’으로 나타난다. 그러나, 그렇지 못할 경우 비극의 부정정신은 ‘투쟁’의 대결의지가 내재화된 ‘절대적으로 화해 불가능한 갈등’으로 표출된다. <핍박>은 후자의 경우에 해당하는 비극소설이다.
