The structural design problem are acknowledged to be commonly multi-criteria in nature compared with traditional method that had been single object fuction. The various multi-criteria optimization methods are reviewed and most efficient and easy-to-use Pareto optimal solution methods. General Sequential Linear Programming Method and ε-Consraint Method are applied to structural optimization of a sandwich plates. As for sandwich materials the combination of three types of face materials and two types of materials are used in the analysis and optimization made. Three types of face materials are Chopped Strand Mat/Polyester. Woven Roving/Polyester and Kevlar/Epoxy: and two types of core materials are Klegecell/Termanto and Divinycell(H100). In the optimization procedure. Pareto optimal technique is applied to find out design variables of face thickness and core depth which gives minimum weight of sandwich plate structure coincided in deflection values of design maker under the constrints of structural behaviour of allowable bending and shear stress.

A sandwich element is a special hybrid structural form of the composite construction, which is consisted of equal two orthotropic, stiff and strong sheets of dense material separated symmetrically by an isotropic thick layer which is much less stiff and strong. This study analyzed the variation of the bending stress, membrane bending stress, shear stress of faces, shear stress of core, maximum deflection and mode shapes of sandwich plates depending on material properties, thicknesses and stacking orientation of faces and three types of core material by applying Rayleigh-Ritz Energy Method. Stresses and deflection obtained by Rayleigh-Ritz Energy method were compared with NISA FEM solution.

Sandwich structure has high stiffness, lightweight and excellent dynamic behavior with anti-noise and anti-vibration. These properties are useful function in manufacturing airplane and high-speed ship, which require lighter and higher strength elements. It has made a special study of bending behavior of FRP sandwich beams with bonded 2nd-reinforced plies. Specimen's faces were made of Chopped Mat 300-450, Roving Clothes 570 and the mixture weight ratio of Resin versus hardener was 55:45 for bending analysis. The purpose of this paper is to study the exact bending behavior of bonded area's stress and strain depends upon various bonded FRP (2nd reinforced ply) length and thickness on which covered joints and to find the optimum design for the sandwich structures. This study suggests that the thickness of the double-strap joint is 1). when thin face sandwich beam might be satisfied a condition of I_(re)≥(2)_I_(s) 2). when thick face sandwich beam might be satisfied a condition of I_(re)≥I_(s) .

This paper is concerned with the mechanical behaviour of in-plane joints in composite structures. The impetus behind research stems from the growing development in modular construction techniques that offer competitive global access to higher technology. Characterisation of bonding response is important, as in most instances the primary role of a adhension is to impart bonding rigidity. A test programme involving several commonly used joining methods, including lap joints, internal spline and external tape, coupled with flexible and inflexible adhesives is used to demonstrate the mode of failure and strength of the joined composites and the process of redesign will be added later research work.

Nasal septal deformity (NSD) is a common nasal disorder, but its prevalence among children has not been reported in Korea. The aim of this work was to study the prevalence of NSD among children in kindergarten and first grade in Anyang and Kunpocities and to evaluate whether the occurrence of NSD in children was affected by school activity or correlated with sex. Weexamined 1,646 nasal septa of 1,491 students (average age:7.5 years;range:6.3-8.9 years) at three elementary schools and155 children (average age:6.5 years;range:5.9-7.1 years) at two public kindergartens. The overall prevalence of NSD was13.6%. A significant difference in prevalence was found between male and female children and between male and female firstgraders. No difference was found between the children in kindergarten and the children attending first grade and between maleand female children in kindergarten. The most common type of NSD, based on the Mladina’s classification, was type 1, followedby types 2 and 5.

F.R.P specimens were made of Chopped Mat 450-104, Roving Clothes 570-100 and the mixture ratio of resin to hardener is 92 to 8 for tensile test. It was fabricated by hand lay-up method and hardened for 24 hours in accordance with ASTM D638 Type 3. The test specimens that bonded 2 plies that were made out of F.R.P were prepared to know exact behavior of bonded area's stress and strain. And we must know the relation of plies's length, stress and strain. Thus, in the middle of specimens it is also covered of 2 plies that the length is 1/2, 2/3 size. Also we consider shear stress in adhered area. This study reveals that the length of plies are more longer, fracture stress are remarkably larger.
