Global platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube have developed a precise recommendation system based on various information from large set of customers and many of the items recommended here are leading to actual purchases. In this paper, a cluster analysis was conducted according to the attribute of the content, expecting that there would be a difference in user preferences according to the attribute of the recommended content. Gower distance was used for use regardless of the type of variables. In this paper, using the data of movie rating site 'The Movie Dataset', the users were grouped hierarchically and recommended movies based on genre, director and actor variables. To evaluate the recommended systems proposed, user group was divided into train set and test set to examine the precision. The results showed that proposed algorithms have far higher precision than UBCF.

In this study, 495 Korean secondary school students' visual, auditory, and kinesthetic preferences, ideal L2 self, motivated L2 behavior, and English proficiency were analyzed based on questionnaire surveys. Identifying possible effect of the participants' perceptual learning styles and ideal L2 self on their motivated L2 behavior was followed by an investigation of all variables' impact on English proficiency. The influence of the visual learning style and the ideal L2 self on motivated L2 behavior indicates that the students' visual style preference contributes strongly to the forming of a vivid ideal L2 self, which in turn results in a higher level of motivated L2 behavior. As for the effect of the variables on English proficiency, the more motivated L2 behavior the students exhibited, the higher achievement they obtained, but the impact was not notably powerful. Based on these findings, it is suggested that Korean secondary school students’ motivation to learn English can be increased by enabling them to realize and develop their ideal L2 self through group discussion or individual journal writing.

The purpose of this study is to review the symbolic meaning in 20th century men`s fashion through analyzing of social environment factors. After recent industrial society, men had expressed their privilege, prestige and social power according to fashion. Men`s fashion at the beginning of the 20th century was emerged as the images of robustness and strictness with perfect cutting, thick and stick fabric and dark color that were influenced by british style. It was symbolic meaning of authority orientation which showed the superiorities of social and sex classes. It was beginning of change according to social phenomena. The world war Ⅰ, Ⅱ and change of lifestyle by material affluence in automobile industry mollified rules of men`s fashion. It showed a serenity of living. Also, the growth of young culture changed trickle-down of men`s fashion into bottom-up and showed opposition for elite culture in fashion. These change particularly became acceleration by individualism, open-society and the collapse of sex class. Men expressed sexual and inherent desire for fashion that was no longer concerned with symbolizing of authority but rather with pleasure pursuit.
아이디어 발상 유형화를 통한 창의적 패션 디자인 전개 프로세스 연구

The purpose of this study is in allowing thinking about the design development process which is more towards the visual and perceptional aspects related to the form structure by more diverse methods by typology of idea generation. To accomplish such goal, researches in the psychology, pedagogy, engineering, and consilient studies as well as related precedent researches and reference data in architecture, promotion, industrial design, and other art fields and fashion designs are collected and analyzed to see the study trend. In addition, in the content analysis method based on such, the idea generation was classified into types in consideration of relevancy, usefulness, and suitability with fashion. First, a concentrated thinking of a limited space is a method of leading an optimal design by focusing on solving the cause of a problem within a space which generates the problem. Second, plan thinking per section of structure decomposition is a method of dismantling the design problems per organization, thinking type, factor, and characteristic into sub-modules to re-interpret and re-organize the problems in various aspects. Third, an associated thinking through interpreting relationships among vocabularies is a method of selecting the marginal languages that allow a person to come up with concrete forms and the key words related to fashion to import the characteristics and attributes of the marginal languages and thematic relationship between the two terms to search the relevancy. Lastly, the free integrated thinking of language extension is a method of groping integration between other fields and fashion by free integration among the extended terms by extending the vocabularies through inferring metaphorical expressions founded upon individual`s memories or knowledge concepts regarding theme words that do not allow concrete forms to come up.

Creative thinking requires an ability to draw ideas on the given topic in a given time period with concentration. For this, the development process of design concept on the topic was collected through experiments and interviews targeting 10 fashion education experts and 10 clothing majors. After the analysis, the results are as follows: First of all, divergent thinking was done to find as many ideas and possibilities as possible at the step of expanding the topic by analogy. This showed characteristics of spreading thoughts through the spread of lexicon to professional field knowledge of learned, individual`s cultural background, other art fields. Second, abstracted and designed words that are expanded and listed by the topic analogy were specified the topic gradually through the free combination method between lexicons. The sentences made by the combination of lexicons were interpreted through the serial listing method, in which the connection between sentences had the meaning of orderly cause and effect form, and the parallel listing method that treated information at once. Third, the few characteristics of the procedure that visualizing into the specific design are as follows. Firstly, the method to transform image that lexicon has into the one appropriate to the topic, the case that reflects external characteristics of selected designed word, and the case which reflects as the extrinsic expression of personal immanent and tactic desires. This study has its means to propose methods and directions to help create more creative and systematic ideas by analyzing the characteristics that appeared during the process of thinking language-oriented design.
유추적 전이에 의한 패션 이미지어(語)의 연상어휘에 대한 유형화 연구

This study is to provide basic materials to inspire creative design by analyzing and formalizing characteristics of listed association words through analogical transfer on image words. The main words for the experiment were feminine, mannish, classic, and avan-garde. The main subject was freely described in the form of mind map and the collected data implemented contents analysis and statistics analysis. The experiment targeted college students taking fashion related classes, fourth year students, and graduate school students in fashion-related majors. Analysis used 70 copies of test papers per image word. Feminine association words, such as ‘feminine’, ‘flower’, ‘clean’, ‘pink’, ‘skirt’, ‘soft’, ‘pastel tone’, ‘lace’, ‘thin’ and others had frequency of 10 or more. Through the result of cluster analysis, the association words were formalized as ‘original design’ and ‘feminine sensibility’. Mannish association words, such as ‘suit’, ‘shortcut’, ‘black’, ‘pants’, ‘mannish’, ‘necktie’ and others showed frequency of 10 or more. The result of the cluster analysis, the association words were formalized as ‘modern men’s styling’ and ‘formativeness of suit’. Classic association words, ‘suit’, ‘classic’, ‘brown’, ‘neat’, ‘music’, ‘traditional’ ‘Chanel’ and others showed frequency of 10 or more. The result of the cluster analysis formalized as ‘classic traditionality’ and ‘formative beauty of suit’. The avant-garde association words of ‘unique’, ‘Comme des Garcons’, ‘creative’, ‘avant-garde’, ‘peculiar’, ‘fashion’, ‘artistic’ and others had frequency of 10 or more. The result of the cluster analysis formalized as ‘experimental artistry’ and ‘unusual creativity’.
패션 이미지어(語)의 연상 어휘 분석을 통한 디자인 발상차원에 관한 연구 -클래식, 아방가르드 이미지어를 중심으로-

This study researches the association between associative vocabulary and fashion image language in order to extract ideas that can be used as basic data for design ideas. Classic - avant-garde imaged language were chosen as theme words and each 70 questionnaires per a final image word were used for analysis. We obtained the following results by researching keywords that explained classic image words through a word cloud technique. It was found to have high central representation in the order of suit, classical, basic, music, Chanel, black and traditional. The core key words explaining avant-garde image language were found to have a central representation in the order of : peculiar, huge, Comme des Garçons, artistic, creative, deconstruction and individuality. We extracted the necessary idea dimensions needed for design ideas through associative network graph analysis. In the case of classical image language, it was named as the Mannish Item, Music, Modern Color, and the Traditional Classicality dimensions. In the case of avant-garde image language, it was named as the Key Image, Artistic Aura, Key Design and Designers dimensions.
디자인 발상 과정에 나타난 어휘와 디자인의 연관성 연구 -아방가르드 패션디자인을 중심으로-

The purpose of this study is to present the objective evaluation semantic scale of avant-garde design. Apparel majors were asked to express associative vocabulary, design development, and final design intentions for the avant-garde, and the final 70 copies were used for analysis. The results found the item style was shown often in the order of dress, coat, and combination of shirt and pants. In order, the silhouettes appeared as atypical, complex, square, and triangular; the decorations appeared as feathers, frills, and round sculptures; and the idea method appeared as extreme, association, and removal method. In examining the relations of associative words and idea designs, the dress had relations with associative words such as ‘peculiar,’ ‘futuristic,’ ‘fancy,’ ‘Comme des Garcons,’ and ‘deconstruction.’ As for the relationship between the idea design and the expression image vocabulary, it was found that ‘one piece’ recalled ‘huge,’ ‘volume,’ ‘abundant,’ ‘peculiar,’ and ‘unknown,’ while ‘coat’ recalled ‘huge,’ ‘big silhouette,’ and ‘padding.’ In conducting the word cloud technique, the overall design showed the central keywords were ‘huge,’ ‘big silhouette,’ ‘unbalance,’ ‘feather,’ ‘structural,’ ‘unknown,’ and ‘frill,’ in order.

The purpose of this study is to objectively explain the visual sensibility of clothing pattern and develop the design of clothing pattern that satisfies the consumer`s sensibility. The photos stimuli on clothing pattern are divided into source, presentation, layout and are composed of each 6 photos per chapter totally 48 photos and semantic differential bi-polar gales are consist of 27 couples sensibility words. The subjects were 400 females in the twenties. Data were analyzed by SAS. The major finds were as follows: 1. As a result of the factor analysis, 4 factors of visual sensibility were consist of Coordination, Hardness and Softness, Attention, Rhythm. 2. As to the difference of visual sensibility based on the composition of clothing pattern, there were differences Hardness and Softness, Rhythm by source and there were significant differences among 4 factors by presentation and layout. 3. According to the age and education level, there were significant differences in Attention, Rhythm and according to the consuming areas, there were significant differences in Coordination, Rhythm. 4. According to sensibility positioning, The clothing pattern was classified as soft-hard, simple-complicated. 5. As a result of the regression analysis, preference, consuming desire and satisfaction appears to be closely related. Good quality is related with total clothing image which is brought about composition of clothing pattern.
