Liquefied natural gas has the unique distinction of being the only flammable or hazardous material. Inspection effectiveness may be introduced into the probability of failure calculation by using Bayesian analysis or more directly by modifying the model for the independent variables, the distribution function and parameters, such as mean and coefficient of variation, changed based on the NDE method and coverage used during an inspection. Available failure data from the LNG industry are often statistically unreliable. Therefore, we need to improve more accurate information data. NDE reliability matrix is to apply optimization method of the NDE method. Reliability matrix is composed with combinations of environment reliability and inspection reliability. Environment parameters consist of inspector qualification and experience, test condition and inspection reliability parameters are composed of the inspection method and process method, such as UT, ET, RT and s/n ratio, signal processing method, etc. Finally, this paper purposes that the Reliability matrix is a powerful tool for risk assessment of not only the LNG industry but also in other industry.
펄스 와전류(Pulsed eddy current)를 이용한 도시철도차량의 Under Frame Side Sill 부식 평가

Under frame side sill of rolling stock structure is designed for preventing corrosion in order to meet mechanical requirements. However during long operation time more than 20 years, there are corrosion in the under frame side sill caused by environmental effect, vibration and etc. So, detection and evaluation of the corrosion in the under frame nondestructive is one of important issues to extend their life time. Most of nondestructive methods are not easy to apply for detecting corrosion in the under frame side sill, since the under frame side sill consist of there layered with different material (stainless steel - stainless steel - mild steel) and each layer is connected by spot weld and plug weld. Fortunately, pulsed eddy current method claimed that it can be measured not only thickness change but also corrosion under their insulation layers. So, in this study, we have investigated performance of pulsed eddy current testing method by measuring thickness variation of fabricate of mock-up specimens. The investigation results obtained from mock-up specimens and the corrosion evaluation results of the aged rolling stocks will be presented.

The construction market of high value-added LNG plants is spotlighted world widely. The project has been expanded and improved the LNG plant of processing facilities of the past , however the study on risk assesment on developed countries is attracting public attention to performance improvement components of LNG plant system of risk based inspection until recently. Thus, we have to study the risk based inspection for the defending oneself against to developed countries. In this paper, non-destructive evaluation can be used for enhancement of LNG plant as core parts that are designed for probability of detection in the facilities. The modular parts are related to a system with artificial optimized algorithms as well as diverse databases of facility inspection and diagnosis fields.

Crohn`s disease is a disease involving the whole gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus. Psoas abscess complicating Crohn`s disease is a rare condition. We present one case of recurrence psoas abscess and abdominal wall abscess in Crohn`s disease. A diagnosis of right psoas abscess was subsequently made by abdominal computed tomography(CT). Following the administration of antibiotics and ultrasound sono-guided percutaneous drainage of the abscess, the patient`s symptoms improved. The patient`s drainage tube removed; however, 1 weeks later, the abscess was found on psoas muscle and the abscess cavity have extended around abdominal wall. We performed surgical drainage of the abscess cavity and ileocecal resection were performed. A case of abdominal wall and psoas muscle abscess treated with ileocecectomy in Crohn`s disease is presented, followed by a review of the literature

The discovery of malignant cells in pleural fluid and/or parietal pleura indicates a disseminated or advanced disease in the patients with various malignancies. For 5-10% of patients with these malignant pleural effusions, the site of origin cannot be identified even though extensive work-up. Recently, 18F fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG PET) has been shown to be a highly reliable and accurate test for detection and staging of lung cancer. We report here a case of histopathologically diagnosed metastatic bronchogenic adenocarcinoma of pleura without detection of primary lung cancer which was evaluated by PET, and review the diagnostic work-up and the role of PET in the malignant pleural effusion.
