In this paper we proposed the block-based color image segmentation method using the cylindrical metric to solve the problems such as long processing time and over segmentation due to noise and texture properties in the conventional methods. In the proposed method we define the new similarity function and the merge condition between regions to merge initial regions with the same size considering the color and texture properties of chromatic and achromatic regions which is defined according to the HSI color values, and we continue to merge boundary blocks into the adjacent region already segmented to maintain edges until the size of block is one. In the simulation results the proposed method is better than the conventional methods in the evaluation of the segmented regions of texture and edge region, and we found that the processing time is decreased by factor of two in the proposed method. 본 논문에서는 잡음이나 질감특성에 의한 과분할과 긴 처리시간 등의 기존 영역분할 방법이 갖는 문제점을 해결하기 위해 Cylindrical metric을 사용한 블록단위의 컬러영상분할방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법에서는 일정 크기로 분할된 블록들로 이루어진 초기 영역들을 병합하기 위해 HSI 컬러값에 따라 분류된 채색(chromatic) 영역과 비채색(achromatic) 영역의 컬러특성과 질감특성을 고려하여 영역간의 유사도 함수와 병합조건을 새로이 정의하며, 영역 병합 후의 명확한 윤곽검출을 위해 영역간의 경계부분에 위치하는 외곽블록들을 추출하여 기존 영역에 병합하는 과정을 화소레벨까지 반복한다. 모의실험을 실시한 결과, 질감영역과 윤곽영역의 분할에서 제안한 방법이 기존의 방법에 비해 우수한 것으로 나타났으며, 처리시간은 제안한 방법에서 2배 정도 단축됨을 알 수 있었다.

The Korean character recognition technology for user interface in multimedia terminal requires fast processing time and high recognition rate. In this paper, we propose an phoneme and character recognition technology which uses characteristic information of korean and features of input strokes, i.e, feature point, feature vector, virtual vector, position relation between strokes. And, a recognition both phoneme and character by the various writing types of users uses korean database. The Korean database has been constructed by the characteristic information of korean and phoneme models which have various stroke information. Also, we use successive processing by the position relation between strokes and backtracking processing by the modification processing of stroke numbers which composed of each phoneme. This method reduces the complex processing of phoneme separation. The proposed on-line korean character recognition system has obtained 13msec average character processing time and correct recognition rate more than $95{\%}$ In a recognition experiment, where we tested 600 characters written by 10 people among 1,200 words.
온실 환경 데이터 모니터링을 위한 그레이 시스템 이론 기반 데이터 전송 알고리즘

Recently, wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are being applied to diverse areas, and there is an increasing demand for the WSNs in the agriculture area. Especially, the environment monitoring for agricultural facilities such as a greenhouse is a good instance of the application of WSN. This research proposes the energy-efficient data dissemination algorithm that employs the Grey system theory, which is a data prediction method, for a greenhouse environment monitoring system based on a wireless sensor network. The proposed algorithm aims to efficiently utilize the energy of a sensor node by reducing data transmission, which is a main cause of energy consumption of a sensor node, through data prediction. The data prediction accuracy of using the proposed algorithm has been verified by performing a simulation using the network simulator (NS2). The simulation result shows that the energy consumption of the sensor node is reduced about 60% by using the proposed algorithm, compared to LEACH which is a conventional data transmission algorithm.

In this paper we propose the block based image segmentation method using the cyclic properties of hue components in HSI color model. In proposed method we use center point instead of hue mean values as the hue representatives for regions in image segmentation considering hue cyclic properties and we also use directed distance for the hue difference among regions. Furthermore we devise the simple and effective method to get critical values through control parameter to reduce the complexity in the calculation of those in the conventional method. From the experimental results we found that the segmented regions in the proposed method is more natural than those in the conventional method especially in texture and red tone regions. In the simulation results the proposed method is better than the conventional methods in the in the evaluation of the human segmentation dataset presented Berkely Segmentation Database. 본 논문은 HSI 컬러 모델에서 색상(Hue)의 주기성을 고려한 블록기반 영상분할 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법에서는 영역병합 시 사용되는 영역의 색상 대푯값으로 색상의 평균 대신 중앙점을 사용하며, 영역 간 색상차를 계산하기 위해 단방향 거리를 사용한다. 그리고 기존방법에서 사용한 복잡하게 계산된 영역별 임계값을 파라메타를 통해 조절할 수 있는 간단하지만 효율적인 임계값으로 수정한다. 실험결과 제안한 방법의 분할결과가 질감 성분이나 붉은 색상을 가진 영역에서 기존 방법을 사용했을 때 보다 더 자연스러우며, 제안한 방법과 기존 방법으로 버클리 영상분할 데이터베이스에서 제공하는 자연영상들을 분할하여 평가값을 비교해 본 결과 제안한 방법이 기존방법에 비해서 더 우수함을 알 수 있었다.
무선 센서 네트워크에서 신뢰도 기반의 보안 라우팅 프로토콜 연구

For the insecurity of SPIN protocol, a secure wireless sensor networks routing protocol Trust?SPIN was presented. The protocol was based on the reputation system. It increased the credibility parameter of each node in network. When it choose the next hop, it took both the energy of the node and the credibility of the node into account, so it could reduce the possibility that the attack nodes were chosen the next hop, The protocol waft simulated and its performance was analyzed, compared with SPIN protocol. The results showed that Trust?SPIN prolonged the life-cycle, improved the packet delivery ratio and also reduced the drop ratio. It improved the network security.
