        알레르기성 자반증 환아 치험 2례

        Objectives The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of Korean herbal medicine and Chimsband treatment in patients with allergic purpura. Methods 4-year-old female patients, who were suffering from allergic purpura were treated by Korean herbal medicine (Samul-tang hap Yukmijihwang-tang gami) and Chimsband treatment. Also, photographs were used to check the improvement. Results After treating for 15 days, the patients' allergic purpura were improved by Korean herbal medicine and Chimsband treatment. Conclusions This study showed that Korean medical treatments could be an effective treatment option in treating allergic purpura.

        Analyzing and monitoring environmental contaminants based on geophysical exploration techniques have become important and it is now widely applied to delineate spatial distribution geophysical characteristics in wide area. Among the techniques, induced polarization (IP) method, which measures polarization effects on electrical potential distribution, has drawn much attention as an effective tool for environmental monitoring since IP is sensitive to changes in biochemical reactions. However, various reactions stemming from the presence of multiple contaminants have greatly enhanced heterogeneity of polluted sites to result in highly variable electrical characteristics of the site. Those contaminants influence chemical and physical state of soil and groundwater to alter electrical double layer, which in turn influences polarization of the media. Since biochemical reactions between microbes and contaminants result in various IP effects, IP laboratory experiments were conducted to investigate IP responses of the contaminated soil samples under various conditions. Field IP surveys can delineate the spatial distribution of contamination, while providing additional information about electrical properties of a target medium, together with DC resistivity. Reviewing IP effects of contaminants as well as IP surveys can serve as a good starting point for the application of IP survey in site assessment for environmental remediation.

        광대역유도분극 탐사에 기초한 유체투과도 예측기법들

        Permeability-analyzing methods commonly involve small-scale drilling, such as pumping or slug test, but it is difficult to identify overall distribution of permeability of the entire target sites due to high cost and time requirement. Spectral induced polarization (SIP) method is known to be capable of providing distributions of both the porosity and the pore size, the two major parameters determining permeability of the porous medium. The relationship between SIP variables and permeability has been studied to identify the hydrological characteristics of target sites. Kozeny-Carman formula has been improved through many experiments to better predict fluid permeability with electrical properties. In this work, the permeability prediction techniques based on SIP data were presented in accordance with the hydrogeological and electrical characteristics of a porous medium. Following the summary of the techniques, various models and related laboratory experiments were analyzed and examined. In addition, the field applicability of the prediction model was evaluated by field case analysis.

        DNCB로 유발된 생쥐의 알레르기성 접촉피부염에 선태(蟬蛻)가 미치는 영향

        Objectives In the theory of Korean Medicine, Cicadae Periostracum (CP) has been used to treat skin diseases such as inflammatory dermatitis, tetanus and pruritus. CP can reduce heat and disperse wind. In prior studies, anti-allergic effect and anti-inflammatory effect of CP were reported. However, there has been no report regarding the correlation of CP and allergic contact dermatitis (ACD). This study was performed to show the effects of CP in ACD induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) in mice. Methods In this experiment, the effects of CP on biological changes were measured, such as changes in ear and spleen weight, ear and dorsum skin thickness, clinical aspect on the dorsum skin and histological changes. The effect of proliferation rate of splenocytes was also investigated in vitro and vivo study. Results In results, CP application (CPA) group and CP application and administration (CPAA) group were significantly restrained in ear weight gain and increase in ear and dorsum skin thickness compared to the control group. In addition, CPA and CPAA group showed diminished erythema, desquamation, bloodstain, and marks. Also, the histological assessment showed that CP treatement diminished thickness of epidermis, hyperkeratosis, pigmentation and parakeratosis. Conclusions In conclusion, these data suggest that CP can decrease symptoms of ACD.

        다중목적함수 최적화에 기초한 광대역 유도분극 변수 예측 적용성 분석

        Among induced polarization (IP) methods, spectral IP (SIP) uses alternating current as a transmission source to measure amplitudes and phase of complex electrical resistivity at each source frequency, which disperse with respect to source frequencies. The frequency dependence, which can be explained by a relaxation model such as Cole-Cole model or equivalent models, is analyzed to estimate SIP parameters from dispersion curves of complex resistivity employing multi-objective optimization (MOO). The estimation uses a generic algorithm to optimize two objective functions minimizing data misfits of amplitude and phase based on Cole-Cole model, which is most widely used to explain IP relaxation effects. The MOO-based estimation properly recovered Cole-Cole model parameters for synthetic examples but hardly fitted for the real laboratory measures ones, which have relatively smaller values of phases (less than about 10 mrad). Discrepancies between scales for data misfits of amplitude and phase, used as parameters of MOO method, and it is in necessity to employ other methods such as machine learning, which can deal with the discrepancies, to estimate SIP parameters from dispersion curves of complex resistivity.

        사회적 배척과 편집 사고의 관계 : 우울과 자아존중감의 중재 및 매개 효과 분석

        Objectives The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between social exclusion and paranoid ideation, and to explore moderating and mediating effects of depression and self-esteem in that relationship. Methods Ninety seven neurosis patients receiving treatment in a psychiatric outpatient setting were selected. Social Exclusion Scale, Beck Depression Inventory, paranoia scale of Symptom Checklist-90-Revised, and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were used for evaluation. Results Social exclusion showed highly positive correlation with paranoid ideation, and had significant influence. Among three types of social exclusion, contempt, bullying, and isolation, only isolation showed significant influence on paranoid ideation. Depression showed a partial mediating effect on that relationship indicating that social exclusion affects paranoid ideation not only directly, but also indirectly. On the other hand, self-esteem showed no moderating or mediating effects on that relationship. Conclusion Depression mediates the influence of social exclusion on paranoid ideation. This finding provides an opportunity to decrease paranoid ideation of neurosis patients by not only prescription of antipsychotic agents but also therapeutic approach to social exclusion and depression. An experimental study to verify these findings seems to be needed. 본 연구에서는 사회적 배척이 편집 사고에 미치는 영향, 그리고 우울과 자아존중감의 중재 효과와 매개 효과를 알아보기 위해 정신건강의학과 외래에 내원하는 성인 신경증 환자를 대상으로 이전의 사회적 배척 경험과 현재의 편집 사고,우울, 자아존중감을 평가하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 사회적배척은 편집사고에 미치는 영향이 많았고 특히 고립 배척의영향이 컸다. 또한 사회적 배척의 직접 효과와 동시에 우울의매개를 통한 간접 효과가 확인되었다. 따라서 신경증 환자에서 편집 사고를 보이는 경우 선행한배척 경험에 대한 접근과 매개 변인인 우울에 대한 약물 사용이 편집 사고에 대한 의미 있는 치료 효과를 보일 것으로 예상되며, 이를 검증하기 위한 추가적 실험연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

        난알부민으로 유발된 생쥐의 알레르기 비염에 연교, 유근피, 좌귀음이 미치는 영향

        Objectives In the past, studies have been shown that Forsythiae Fructus (FF), Ulmi Cortex (UC) and JwaGwiEum (JGE) are effective in treating allergic reactions. However, no report shows the difference in effects of FF, UC and JGE in allergic rhinitis (AR). Therefore, the purpose of this study was to differentiate the effects of FF, UC and JGE in AR induced by ovalbumin (OVA) in mice. Methods From this experiment, the effects of FF, UC and JGE were several - changes in body weight, hematologic changes such as WBC, RBC, Hb and PLT counts, immunological changes such as levels of histamine, IgE, IL-4 and expressions of iNOS & COX-2 mRNA. Moreover, histological change of nasal mucosa was also investigated. Results FF administration group and JGE administration group significantly inhibited level of IgE compared to the control group. Also, FF administration group, UC administration group and JGE administration group inhibited IL-4 and expressions of iNOS & COX-2 mRNA. In histological assessment, FF administration group, UC administration group and JGE administration group showed reduced amount of subepithelial edema, desquamated mucosa and hyperplasia of basement membrane from OVA.

        한방소아과학에서 임상 실습 교육의 만족도와 유용성 조사

        Objectives: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the satisfaction and utility of a clinical training in Pediatrics of Korean Medicine after conducting participatory practices in clinical training. Methods: A survey was conducted with 46 students who completed a clinical training in 2019. After completing Problem Based Learning (PBL), Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) and Clinical Performance Examination (CPX), they filled out the questionnaire composed of 15 questions. In addition, it was required to rank the preferences for clinical training items and describe what was good about, things that need to be improved or corrected, and other areas to be implemented as a part of the clinical training. Results: 1. Mean of the total satisfaction score was 4.26. Mean satisfaction score of the educational method was 4.25, and mean score of the utility of educational effectiveness was 4.27. 2. Among the questions that evaluate satisfaction of the education program, ‘I agree with OSCE as a part of the clinical training for juniors.’ showed the highest score. Among the questions that evaluate utility of educational effectiveness, ‘It will be helpful to treat patients as a Korean Medicine doctor in the future’ showed the highest score. On the other hand, ‘I actively participated in the clinical training’ showed the lowest score. Conclusions: A clinical training in Pediatrics of Korean Medicine can be highly valued from the viewpoint of the satisfaction and its utility.
