      • LFG에서의 統制理論

        KIM, MIN-JOO(1988). Control theory in LFG, Language Studies, 1, I. The purpose of this article is to show that the control theory of LFG is more explanatory than that of GB. The basic assumption of this control theory is that grammatical functions such as SUBJ, OBJ, and OBJ 2, are primitives in grammatical relations and that grammatical functions are lexically encoded in predicate argument structures. Control referes to a relation of referential dependence between an unexpressed subject, 'PRO' and an expressed constituent, 'controller'. The control theory in GB does not solves some problems which occur in a specified sentence like a discource context out of a governing category. However, the control theory adopted here can make direct reference to grammatical functions. The property of being a SUBJ is a defining property of the functionally controlled element. LFG theory also assumes that the open function XCOMP and XADJ can denote controlled clauses. Our theory predicts that it will solve the problems using functional control and anaphoric control proposed by Bresnan.

        This article is to present a part of the 6th curriculum-centered testing methods in the English classroom of middle school. The article takes a basic view of classroom tests and concerns the content of the 6th curriculum. The understanding of testing background and the curriculum depends on the performance of good tests in the English classroom. Accoridng to the 6th curriculum the importance of integrative tests is recognized. Hence the methods of integrative testing and of item analysis are here introduced for good tests.

      • 통계 데이타베이스를 위한 데이타 모델에 관한 연구

        This paper describes a method of managing statistical data and its derivation process through a statistical database management system. Statistical data can be divided into two categories: individual data and summary data. In a large census, the variety of data summaries becomes numerous and the number of statistical tables also becomes numerous. Actualization of a statistical database which can manage a large number of statistical tables has been desired. But, it is not clear which functions are important for statistical data amnagement. To say the least, functions in existing DBMS is considered insufficient. This paper examines the characteristics of the statistical data management and proposes a derivation graph for managing the derivation process of statistical data.

        The article is to present the content of the 6th curriculum and characteristics of the exam for ability of receiving college instruction. The importance of communicative ability in English postulated in the 6th curriculum is now emphasized more than before. There is a growing tendency that communicative ability of English is to be measured in the exam for ability of receiving college instruction. Listening and speaking skills are made much of in the English classrooms, and testing techniques qre changed. Hence he English teaching in our country which is situation - centered and student - centered should be actualized to meet the demands of the opening and internationalized times.

        관광학부 재학생들의 학교에 대한 조직동일시 연구

        The present study was performed to investigate the possibility of organizational identification in a university context, and to identify the antecedents of organizational identification. Responses to the self-administered questionnaires were collected form 229 students of the Tourism Department of Kyonggi University. All items in the questionnaire were answered using a 5 - point Likert-type scale except those related to personal information. ANOVA, t-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression were used to analyze the collected data. The findings which resulted from above analysis were as follows : (1) It is highly likely that organizational identification exists in the university context. (2) The degree of organizational identification is related to gender with female students identifying more strongly with the institution. (3) Additional factors affecting the level of organizational identification are interest in their major, and the employment potential of, and social status of occupations related to their major. (4) Other influential factor are the competence of their professors, relationships with their classmates, and the prestige of their department within the university.

      • 감정노동의 수행방식에 따른 감정노동 및 결과변수의 지각 차이 분석

        Emotional labor is an important element of the service product, perceived service quality, and a variety of organizational outcomes such as absenteeism, turnover, sales, and profitability in the service organization. Studies of the consequences of emotional labor have most often centered on client-focused emotional labor. Although early studies emphasize its harmful effects on emotional laborer, studies of emotional labor In a variety of occupations suggest that the consequences of emotional labor are not uniformly negative. Therefore generalizations are difficult in a body of research that examines such a variety of outcomes. However, the effects of coping strategy - surface acting, deep acting, display of genuine emotion - on the emotional labor and its consequences have been studied less often. This study explores the consequences of emotional labor with regard to coping strategy of employees. It allow understanding the reason for inconsistencies in the prior researches. Data were derived from a survey of hotel employees in the Korea and the United States. Sampling was conducted based on convenience sampling and snowballing sampling, 254 questionnaires were used for analysis. The results were as follows. First, the result of chi-square test showed the frequency distribution of coping strategy associated with nationality and sex of emotional laborer. Second. emotional labor and job satisfaction were positively correlated, and emotional labor negatively correlated with another two variables - job stress, turnover intention. Job stress was more strongly related to emotional labor Third, there was significant difference on the extent of emotional labor with respect to coping strategy of emotional laborer. Fourth, there were significant differences on the job satisfaction and job stress with regard to coping strategy of emotional laborer. These results contradict some previous studies indicating that emotional labor should be studied on the that assumption various sorts of emotional labor exist.

        The process tests for listening comprehension, using 6Wh-questions are applied to teaching and learning activities in the foreign language classrooms. This model consists of three steps, - listening, process test and explanation. The analysis of this study result shows that the listening abililty of experimental group is higher in Engish and in German than that of controlled group.

      • 감정노동이 관광산업 종사자에게 미치는 영향에 관한 한미간 비교연구

        This Paper discussed emotional labor as a neglected area in cross-cultural approach in prior researches. The present study aimed to examine the relationship between emotional labor and its consequences-psychological well-being, job satisfaction, job stress, organizational identification and turnover intention. Data needed for analysis was collected through a survey conducted on workers of Hotel located in Seoul and Hawaii. Sampling was conducted based on convenience sampling. However, the respondents are limited to workers directly in contact with customers in stores. 254 questionnaires were used for analysis. The results were as follows. First, it was found emotional labor Effected on hotel employees negatively. There were positive relationships between emotional labor and job stress, turnover intention, and negative relationships between emotional labor and job satisfaction, psychological well-being Second, there were difference on the extent of emotional labor and its consequence between Korean hotel employees and American hotel employees except organizational identification. Third, the results showed significant differences on the relationship emotional labor and its consequences between Korean hotel employees and American hotel employees, The present study is supposed to offer evidence to support alienation hypothesis, although empirical studios so far show that emotional labor has positive and negative effects. And the results implied organizational identification might be moderating variable rather than dependent variable of emotional labor.

        The distributed database system has the advantage of increasing system reliability to compare with the centralized database system because it is replicated data at several sites. But the distributed system has to preserve a consistency of replicated data To preserve a consistency of replicated data, it is necessary to nm the Concurrency Control in the system always. In this paper, we show a necessary and sufficient condition of the parameters for the well-known Read-One Write All method. And also, a local optimum solution can be obtained by proposed polynomial algorithm.
