To evaluate steam oxidation behaviours of Alloy 617 and Haynes 230, oxidation test were performed at $900^{\circ}C$ in steam and $steam+20\;vol.-%\;H_2$ environments. Oxidation rate in steam condition was similar to that in air for Alloy 617, while it was slightly lower for Haynes 230. When hydrogen was added to steam, oxidation rate was enhanced. Isolated $MnTiO_3$ particle were formed on $Cr_2O_3$ oxide layer and sub layer $Cr_2O_3$ were formed in steam and $steam+20\;vol.-%\;H_2$ for Alloy 617. On the other hands, $MnCr_2O_3$ layer were formed on top of $Cr_2O_3$ oxide layer for Haynes 230. The extensive sub layer $Cr_2O_3$ formation was resulted from the oxygen inward diffusion in such environments. When hydrogen was added, the oxide morphology was changed from polygonal to platelet because of the accelerated diffusion of cations under the oxide layer. In addition, decarburized zone was extended as hydrogen participated into the reactions causing carbide dissolution.
고객의 등급 하락에 따른 VIP 프로그램의 차별적 효과에 관한 연구

오늘날 시행되고 있는 대부분의 고객 로열티 프로그램은 고객의 구매금액에 따라 고객을 여러 등급으로 나누고, 등급별로 차별화된 혜택을 제공하는 방식으로 운영되고 있다. 또한 고객 등급은 일정 시점을 기준으로 갱신되므로, 기업이 정해놓은 기준 구매금액을 충족하지 못하는 고객들은 등급 하락을 경험하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 등급 하락을 경험한 고객들이 구매행동에 어떠한 변화를 보이며, 이러한 변화가 고객이 기준 구매금액에 미달한 정도(미달금액), 고객의 과시적 소비성향과 점포 친숙도에 따라 어떻게 달라지는가를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 등급 하락으로 인해 고객의 구매금액이 얼마나 증가 혹은 감소하였는지를 파악하기 위해 사건연구 방법을 활용하였는데, 등급 하락이 일어나지 않았다면 발생했을 구매금액(베이스라인 구매금액)을 산출한 후, 이를 실제 구매금액과 비교하여 고객별로 누적비정상구매금액을 산출하였다. 실제 구매금액이 베이스라인 구매금액보다 작다면 등급 하락의 영향으로 구매금액이 감소하였음을 의미한다. 연구 결과, 등급이 하락한 고객들의 평균 누적비정상구매금액 음(-)의 값을 보였다. 또한 고객들의 미달금액이 작을수록 누적비정상구매금액은 작아졌는데, 이는 기준 구매금액과 작은 차이로 등급이 하락한 고객일수록 처우의 불공정성을 인식하여 하락 이후 구매행동이 더 부정적으로 나타날 것이라는 본 연구의 주장을 뒷받침한다. 마지막으로 미달금액이 누적비정상구매금액에 미치는 영향은 고객들의 과시적 소비성향과 점포 친숙도가 클수록 약화되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 위계적 로열티 프로그램의 운영상에서 어쩔 수 없이 발생하는 고객 등급의 변동, 특히 등급 하락에 대한 고객의 반응을 행동적 관점에서 살펴봄으로써 해당 연구 분야에 대한 학문적 이해를 넓히고, 기업이 보다 효과적으로 고객 로열티 프로그램을 설계하고 운영하는데 도움이 되는 시사점을 제공한다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. In hierarchical loyalty programs, companies adjust customers’ loyalty status on a regular basis based on their actual spending level during a given period. Although this is a common practice in most industries, only a few studies to date have looked at customer responses to changes in their loyalty status. Using actual purchase data from a major department store in Korea, the authors apply event study methodology to investigate changes in customer purchase behavior resulting from a demotion in loyalty status. Shortfall amount, defined as the degree to which a demoted customer does not meet the firm’s required spending level, is the key in analyzing the different purchase response of demoted customers. Propensity for conspicuous consumption and store familiarity of the customers are proposed as moderators that interact with the shortfall amount. The results demonstrate that demoted customers whose shortfall amount is small show a larger decrease in post demotion spending and the two moderators weaken this relationship.

Quadrupole Mass Spectrometers (QMS) is a very useful tool in vacuum process diagnosis. Tungsten filament based ion sources are vulnerable to contamination from process gas monitoring. Common symptoms of quadrupole mass spectrometer malfunction is appearance of unwanted contaminant mass peaks or no detection of any ion peaks. We disassembled used quadrupole mass spectrometer and found out black insulating deposits on inside of ion source parts. Five steps of cleaning procedure were applied and almost full restoration of functions were confirmed in two types of closed ion source quadrupole mass spectrometer. By using a numerical modeling (CFD-ACE+) technique, the electric potential profile of ion source with/without insulating deposit was calculated and showed the possibility of quadrupole mass spectrometer malfunction by the deterioration of designed potential profile inside the ion source.

CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method has been widely used to analyze internal combustion engines during the last few years. In CFD methods, there are many models to describe physical phenomena; combustion, spray breakup, and spray-wall impingement. Especially in a diesel engine, fuel spray characteristics are calculated with many models such as breakup, collision, evaporation, etc. Fuel spray characteristics, such as spray tip penetration length and spray angle, are major factors that affect heat release rate and fuel efficiency in internal combustion engine, so understanding of fuel spray characteristics is very important. In this paper, we used OpenFOAM (Open Field Operation and Manipulation) as a CFD tool and calculated diesel spray characteristics with three breakup models; RD (Reitz and Diwakar), KH/RT (Kelvin-Helmholtz / Rayleight-Taylor), and ETAB (Enhanced Taylor Analogy Breakup) models. OpenFOAM is a free open source CFD package released in 2004. Calculated results were validated with experimental data and KH/RT model had great accuracy.
