One of the most confusing of matters to many dispensers is the list of ocular angles, lines, and axes freely cited in most tests on the subject. Not only are they confusing but their significance is not always represented in the same way. To clear things up a little, a schematic is offered here setting up the best information available. The diagram is a top view of the eye, with the various angles and lines cleary marked. Top View of the Eye ◁ 그림 삽입 ▷ (원문을 참조하세요) The optical axis is the line that passes through the centers of curvatuve of the optical surfaces. There are three such surfaces in the eye : anterior corneal surface and anterior and posterior lens surface. Usually there are not co-linear, so there is no true optical axis in the eye. The pupillary axis is the line that is normal to the cornea and which passes through the center of the pupil, or more accurately the enterance pupil of the eye. Usually we assume that the optical axis is at the same place as the pupillary axis. This axis can be located by looking along a beam of light, such as with ophthalmoscope, and locating the corneal reflex that coincides with the center of the pupil. The axis would pass through the light bulb its corneal image. In fitting lenses we are faced with the prospect of placing the optical axis of the lens in the proper position before the eye. What is the most desirable location? If we place it so that it coincides with the optical axis of the eye, We would form an excellent image on the posterior pole of the eye. The foveal image would, however, be formed by rays that are off-axis and would be subject to aberrations of the lens. If we place the optical axis of the lens so that it is directed along any of the lines from the point of fixation to the fovea, the rays are off-axis for the eye. Nevertheless, the answer is to align the optical axis of the Idns so that it passes through the fixation point. Since the nodal points shift during accommodation and the center of rotation is difficult to locate, the logical line to use is the line of sight, since it is independent of accommodative lever and easily measured.

The purpose of this study was to analyze characteristics of the bedroom environment of nursing homes for the elderly in Korea. Field case research was performed using a structured checklist and measurements, from Oct. 28th to Dec. 2nd, 2006. Collected data were analyzed for cognitive efficiency, privacy, safety, supportiveness and amenity. Based on nursing homes for the elderly nationwide (Ministry of Health and Welfare, 2006), we choose 43 facilities in which Seoul and six megalopolis areas that had answered our questionnaire in 2006. We then narrowed the list to 14 facilities, balanced them in terms of regional population. The contents of investigation consisted of eight categories: that general characteristics of the bedrooms (including number of residents per room, using a bed or floor mat, the size and shape of the chamber, space for wheelchair turning, signage), door of bedroom (including door, doorknob, door sill/level difference), windows in the bedroom (including type of window, window sill height, window treatment, window safety device/shape, view/daylight), furniture (including personal furniture and lock), finishes (material, character and color of wall, floor, ceiling), lighting (including types of lighting, night lighting, switch), bathroom in the bedroom (including signage, door size/type, doorknob shape, height of the washbowl, size of toilet bowl, handrail, finishes), and other facilities (including outlet and handrails).

This paper presents to develop a contact type charging platform for continuous mission performance in mountainous terrain. The contact-type charging platform is a technology that can effectively increase the flight time of the drones using an automatic charging device connected to the drones and the charging platform interface. The charging bed was designed with the egg plate type structure and contact type charging type terminal. The charging terminal mounted on the drone is configured as a conical type so that it is inserted into one of the plurality of charging slots formed in the egg plate structure of the charging bed through sliding to be charged at random. In order to confirm the efficiency of contact charging, the possibility of charging was confirmed through contact resistance measurement. In the experiment, it was conducted 50 times using the unmanned charging system and all the charging was successful.

The purpose of this study are to investigate the housing conditions, the significant variables related to housing characteristics, and the housing history of elderly families dwelling in Chungbuk Province. Longitudinal data, every 10 years after the marriage of 144 elderly housewives through interviews with a questionnaire, were collected and analyzed. The results are as follow. Significant variables related to housing characteristics are; income, age, education level, marital status, health conditions etc., even though there are differences according to the kind of housing characteristics. The ratio of housing tenureship for families rapidly increases until the housewives reach their 50s, but decreases after their 50s and that of detached houses decreases continuously. The ratio of houses larger than 35 pyung, more than 3 bedrooms, and single family households are highest during their 50s. The ratios of higher level of housing facilities such as heating systems, hot water supplies, kitchen conditions: including cooking countertop , cooking fuel, floor finishes continuously increase from the beginning of their marriage to 50s or 60s.

This study aimed to examine the needs for the planning of group homes for the elderly with dementia in lower income class, who have more economic burden on the caring the demented aged. The survey was conducted by questionnaires collected from 300 respondents from December 2000 to March 2001. Methods of analysis were frequency distribution, mean and chi-square test. The results of this study were as follows: 1) The respondents perceived that the responsibility to take care of the elderly with dementia belonged to their family, not to society or the government, and the sons and daughters had to share the burden placed on care-givers. 2) The awareness of group homes for dementia was relatively low. 3) The respondents' needs for the group homes with dementia could be summarized as follows; small scale plan with homelike atmosphere, a total of 6-8 residents, structural type of detached house or three-storied town house, 2-3 persons per individual room, and management system by non-profit organization or the government. There were no big differences between the respondents of this study and upper and middle class studies conducted by other research, except for some details. Referring to results of this study, it is asserted that group homes for the elderly with dementia would be embraced throughout the country if political assistance combined with economic support were provided.
