In this study, micro-sized and nano-sized pure aluminum (Al) powders were compressed by unidirectional pressure at room temperature. Although neither type of Al bulk was heated, they had a high relative density and improved mechanical properties. The microstructural analysis showed a difference in the process of densification according to particle size, and the mechanical properties were measured by the Vickers hardness test and the nano indentation test. The Vickers hardness of micro Al and nano Al fabricated in this study was five to eight times that of ordinary Al. The grain refinement effect was considered to be one of the strengthening factors, and the Hall–Petch equation was introduced to analyze the improved hardness caused by grain size reduction. In addition, the effect of particle size and dispersion of aluminum oxide in the bulk were additionally considered. Based on these results, the present study facilitates the examination of the effect of particle size on the mechanical properties of compacted bulk fabricated by the powder metallurgy method and suggests the possible way to improve the mechanical properties of nano-crystalline powders.

In this paper I try to interpret Hume's ethical theory from viewpoint of virtue ethics to apply to medical ethical issues. Hume's medical ethical point of view can provide action-guiding to doctor, nurse, even a patient in a special medical situation. Hume's virtue of honesty interpreted from viewpoint of virtue ethics eliminates unilateral application of duty-based principle. In Hume's case the morality of action takes into account the interest of the beneficiary which depends on feelings of the actor's approval. not unconditional fulfillment of duty. Therefore to Hume the virtue of honesty is actor's character-traits, and it is not an unchanging principle of conduct, but a characteristic that can be applied differently depending on the patient's condition. 나는 이 글에서 흄의 윤리이론을 의료윤리적 문제에 적용하기 위해서 그의 윤리이론을 덕윤리적 관점에서 해석한다. 흄의 덕윤리적 관점은 특수한 의료적 상황에서 의사나 간호사, 혹은 가족은 물론 심지어는 환자 자신도 어떻게 해야 하는지에 대해서 훌륭한 행위지침을 제공할 수 있다. 덕윤리적 관점에서 해석된 흄의 정직의 덕은 환자에게 진실을 말해야 할 의무 혹은 원칙의 일방적인 적용을 배제한다. 흄에게 어떤 행위의 도덕성은 의무나 원칙의 무조건적 이행이 아니라 행위 수혜자의 이익을 고려하는 행위이며, 이는 공감과 유덕한 행위자의 시인의 감정에 의존한다. 그리고 그에 따라 행위하는 행위자가 갖는 성품적 특질들 중의 하나가 정직의 덕이다. 따라서 흄의 윤리이론에서 하나의 덕으로서의 정직은 모든 경우에 준수되고 실행되어야 하는 고정 불변하는 행위 원칙이 아니라 정직이 요구되는 구체적인 여건에서 형성되는 성품특질 또는 인격특질이다. 정직이 갖는 이러한 성격 때문에 흄의 관점에서 질병의 치료와 건강을 목적으로 하는 의사와 간호사에게 제일의 덕목은 자율성의 원칙이 아니라 선행의 원칙이다.

Until now, only one species, Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton, of the genus Phyllocnistis belonging to the family Gracillariidae is listed in Korea, without available information on its identification and morphology, which is now a very serious and important insect pest species in southern area. This study was carried out to provide the illustration with genital structure and DNA barcode data for rapid monitoring, which has not been presented in this country to date.

Here, we introduce the SMEP (Science Museum Exhibition Platform) system, which is aimed to constructa platform for sharing and exchanging the science museum exhibits and information for museum staff,focusing on natural history collections. The SMEP system currently provides a total of 3030 data ofmuseum exhibits for 11 museums currently, including all the exhibit types of science museum with 6971images for them. Among them, the natural history collections are a total of 1152 data for eight museums. The loan system of SMEP enables to exchange the collections between museums. A prototype data portalof the SMEP system is operated and will be opened after the further functional review process in later. It is expected that this platformwould improve the level of collections in the science museum and createnew value by allowing interchange and exchange of collections in science museum.
