      • 허리골반 안정화 운동이 다리정렬과 균형에 미치는 영향

        Swiss ball exercise influences on leg length discrepancy, hamstring flexibility discrepancy, and balance ability in subjects with malalignment syndrome. Twenty subjects with malalignment syndrome participated in a exercise program using a Swiss ball which consisted of three sets of ten repetitions per set. All subjects’ leg length discrepancy, hamstring flexibility discrepancy, and balance ability were measured twice: pre, and post intervention. Functional leg length was measured with a tape measure to determine leg length discrepancy. Hamstring flexibility discrepancy was determined by measuring active knee extension range with a goniometer. Balance ability was measured by single leg stance time on a balance board. Leg length discrepancy and hamstring flexibility discrepancy were decreased post—intervention, balance ability on both legs increased post—intervention. These findings suggest that lumbopelvic stabilization exercise using a Swiss ball decreases leg length discrepancy and hamstring flexibility discrepancy while increasing balance ability in subjects with malalignment syndrome, indicating that these exercises improve lower extremity alignment and may prevent future problems such as lower back pain.

      • 호흡재활을 위한 만성폐쇄성폐질환의 평가

        The purpose of this study is to suggest that evaluation methods of evidence-based studies should be used for effective treatment in respiratory rehabilitation. The spirometry should be used for measurement of pulmonary function with index of forced vital capacity (FVC) and forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEVi). The 6-minutes walking test and Shuttle walk test could be measured for patient’ s exercise capacity in the program of pulmonary rehabilitation. The modified Borg’ s scale could be assessed by interview with patients for their dyspnea and fatigue during active daily living or functional activities. The chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test (CAT), chronic respiratory questionnaire (CRQ), medical outcomes study short form (SF-36), Saint George’ s respiratory questionnaire (SGRQ) could be checked for patient’ s quality of life. The maximal expiratory pressure (MEP) and maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP) must be measured for respiratory muscle strength and extremity strength could be checked with manual muscle test (MMT) or dynamometer in case of necessity. The psycho—social aspect would be assessed by the fear avoidance belief questionnaire (FABQ) and patient’ s depression, anxiety, aggravating factors, hospitalization period and etc. might be checked for developing treatment in program of pulmonary rehabilitation.

        경주 양동마을의 외래식물 현황

        This study aims to examine the traditional living space to reflect the environment-friendly design methods and principles of reestablishment. To do so, this study carried on a related literature study and field survey. The traditional living space in terms of the environmental friendliness is reflected on site selection and space composition, and utilization of natural energy and natural materials. Focused on the Kwangajeong in Yangdong Village, this study is to identify eco-friendly techniques on the traditional living space. As a result, it shows that Kwangajeong with the side of the southeast in site selection had been considered in aspect of environmental control such as sunshine and solar radiation. Also building construction techniques had been used to minimize the variation of terrain. In aspect of environmental conservation, Kwangajeong had structurally arranged the gate, an inner yard and an inner floor to allow good ventilation. In aspect of space composition, Kwangajeong with the emphasis of scenic view had utilized the methods that attract external landscape through the control of its fences. Environment-friendly techniques and control principles in traditional space had been developed by a long experience through the long periods and the traditional techniques suitable for local climate and local environment have been developed. The technical development of these techniques to resolve the global environmental and energy issues and create a more pleasant living environment of human beings might be critical. 경상북도 경주시에 위치한 양동마을은 중요민속문화재 제189호로 지정된 500년 역사의 한국의 전통마을이다. 최근 유네스코 (UNESCO)의 세계유산인 양동마을은 보존 가치가 높아짐과 동시에 관광객의 증가에 따라 많은 위협을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 양동마을의 관속식물과 외래식물 및 귀화식물의 현황을 조사·분석하여 전통문화공간 관리체계의 부재를 인식하고 차후 외래 식물 관리보전방안 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 실시하였다. 관속식물상은 89과 227속 261종 1아종 5품종 26변종 총 293분류군이다. 외래식물은 53과 98속 104종 2품종 8변종 총 114분류군이다. 귀화식물은 15과 36속 37종 2변종 총 39분류군이다. 이에 따른 양동마을의 귀화율은 13.31%, 도시화지수는 13.64%이다. 양동마을의 전체 관속식물상 293분류군 중 외래식물은 114분류군으로 38.91%에 해당하는 높은 수치이다. 따라서 우리나라의 전통유산으로서 양동마을의 식물관리지침을 수립하고, 이에 따른 외래식물 유입 방지와 관리 및 식재계획을 세워야 하며, 주민을 대상으로 한 교육을 병행하는 것이 바람직하다.

      • 만성폐쇄성폐질환 환자의 호흡재활을 위한 유연성운동과 흡기근훈련

        The purpose of this study is to suggest that evidence-based clinical guideline for the developing flexibility and inspiratory muscle function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The flexibility exercise was described with chest mobilization, stretching of inspiratory accessory muscles, electrical muscular stimulation, and yoga in the previous studies. The inspiratory muscle training was informed with flow resistance inspiratory muscle trainer, and threshold inspiratory muscle trainer in the earlier studies. The flexibility exercise and inspiratory muscle training exercise are significant components for pulmonary physical therapy in patients with COPD. Further study of effective using in these methods should be followed to develop in section of pulmonary physical therapy for the patients with COPD.

        Effectiveness of Iliopsoas Self-Stretching on Hip Extension Angle, Gluteus Maximus Activity, and Pelvic Compensations during Prone Hip Extension in Subjects with Iliopsoas Shortness

        Purpose: This study examined the effectiveness of iliopsoas self-stretching on the hip extension angle, gluteus maximus (GM) activity, and pelvic compensated angle during prone hip extension (PHE) in subjects with iliopsoas shortness. Methods: Twenty-healthy subjects with iliopsoas shortness were recruited. Electromyography (EMG) was used to examine erector spinae (ES), multifidus (MF), GM, and biceps femoris (BF) while performing PHE. An electromagnetic tracking motion analysis device was used to measure the pelvic compensations. The pelvic compensations while performing PHE were considered to be anterior tilting and rotation. A modified Thomas test was used to monitor the hip extension angle before and after iliopsoas self-stretching. A paired t-test was used to investigate the significant difference after iliopsoas self-stretching during PHE. The level of statistical significance was set to α=0.05. Results: Muscle activity of GM and hip extension angle were significantly greater after iliopsoas self-stretching compared to that before iliopsoas self-stretching during PHE (p<0.05). BF and pelvic rotation angle were significantly lower after iliopsoas self-stretching compared to that before iliopsoas self-stretching during PHE (p<0.05). The muscle activity of ES was not significantly different between PHE before and after iliopsoas self-stretching (p>0.05). Conclusion: Iliopsoas self-stretching can be effective in selectively strengthening the GM muscles with minimized pelvic compensation in subjects with iliopsoas shortness.
