A 3D Adhesion Map Based on SAICAS for Predicting Adhesion Properties of the Electrodes
김규만,변승우,조인성,이용민,유명현 한국공업화학회 2016 한국공업화학회 연구논문 초록집 Vol.2016 No.1
When we prepare electrodes for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), several electrode design parameters such as density, thickness, etc. are predetermined depending on the targeted energy density. In this regard, an optimum binder content always lefts a difficult problem, because there is no systematic study on adhesion properties for electrodes. Also, only the conventional peel test has widely used to compare electrode adhesion strength. Herein, our group has introduced a tool, the Surface and Interfacial Cutting and Analysis System (SAICAS), to measure adhesion strength of the LIBs electrodes. we applied the SAICAS tool to measure all the adhesion properties of LiCoO2 electrode having three different loading, 5, 10, and 15 mg cm-2, and four different densities, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, and 3.5 g cm-3.

Pseudocoarctation is extremely rare and is due to elongation and kinking of aortic arch which mimiks true coarctation but has no pressure gradient across it. This state is essentially benign entity and needs no surgical intervention, but it frequently tends to progress into the aortic aneurysm that results in compressive symptom due to mass effect and unawared rupture and death. We experienced a descending aortic aneurysm secondary to pseudocoarctation. The patient was 53 year-old female presented as easy f`atiguability and facial flushing. The aortogram revealed tortuous and enlarged aorta at the level of ligamentum arteriosum. The aneurysm was resected and was end-to-end anastomosed successfully under partial cardiopulmonary bypass. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged on postoperative 10 day.

The hemodynamic effects of thyroid hormone are well established, and this hormone affects myocardial contractility, heart rate, and myocardial oxygen consumption. But the role of cardiopulmonary bypass on the thyroid function is not yet fully understood. We have studied twelve patients [male and female patients were equal in number] who were performed open heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass. The results are followed. 1] The serum level of T3 began to fall after cardiopulmonary bypass and sustained significantly till 24 hours after operation[p<0.05] 2] The concentrations of T4, Free T4, and TSH were slightly decreased after cardiopulmonary bypass but was maintained within normal range. 3] This above findings are similar to the "sick sinus syndrome" that is seen in severely ill patient. 4] We can propose that T3 would be effective in postoperative low cardiac output syndrome. syndrome.
