2009 개정 교육과정 성취기준에 대한 중학교 역사교사들의 이해와 활용

본 연구에서는 2009 역사과 성취기준에 대해 현장의 중학교 역사 교사들이 어떻게 이해하고 있으며 실제 수업 상황에서 어떻게 활용하고 있는지를 분석하고, 그에 따른 시사점을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 6명의 역사과 교사들을 대상으로 2016년 1월부터 4월까지 3~5회에 걸쳐 심층 면담을 한 뒤 면담결과를 전사하고 기록하여 질적 내용분석법에 따라 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 2009 역사과 성취기준의 이해 측면에서는, 역사과 교사들은 자신들이 늘 가르쳐오던 학습내용으로 익숙하게 받아들여 성취기준에 대해서 크게 의미를 두지 않고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 활용의 측면에서는 수업과 평가에서 업무에 필요한 문서 작성 위주의 형식적인 활용을 하고 있었으며, ‘교과서’가 기준의 역할을 대신하고 있었다. 여기에 영향을 미치는 요인들로는 교사, 교육과정, 문화 및 환경 요인으로 파악되었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 통해 얻은 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사들의 성취기준에 대한 공감의 범위를 확장시켜야 한다. 둘째, 성취기준의 진술형태를 각각의 역할에 맞게 보다 교사 친화적으로 진술 되어야 한다. 셋째, 교사들의 업무 부담을 줄이고 수업에 대해 서로 협력할 수 있는 교사문화가 형성되도록 학교와 제도 개선이 요구 된다. This study analyzes and states implications on how the current middle school history teachers understand the 2009 historical Curriculum achievement standards and how they use in the actual classes. For this, in-depth interviews with 6 history teachers in 3 to 5 times and the data were analyzed on the basis of the qualitative content analysis method. The result of study shows that in terms of understanding the 2009 historical department’s achievement standards, teachers do not put a lot of meaning as they are accustomed to the education content. In terms of utilizing, the standard has not been properly used in either for evaluation or teaching. Also, the standard has been used just for the formal documentations and teachers tend to do textbook-teaching. According to results of this study factors such as teachers, curriculum, culture and environment have great influence. Following is the implications of this study. First, sympathy on the achievement standard should be extended. Second, the formation should be in teachers-friendly way rather than in formal documentation way. Third, school system should be improved in a way which cultivates the cultures to cooperate between teachers regarding the classes’ methods and contents by reducing the non-teaching work load.

중등학교 교사들의 생활지도의 어려움과 대응에 관한 연구

이 연구에서는 중등학교 교사들의 생활지도의 어려움과 그에 대한 대응을 알아보기 위하여, 면담을 통해 수집된 자료를 근거이론(Grounded Theory)을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 중심현상은 `생활지도의 어려움: 고슴도치 끌어안기`로 나타났다. 교사들은 자신의 노력에도 변하지 않는 학생들로 한계를 느끼고 있었고, 자율과 질서 사이에서 고민하고 있었으며, 학생들을 지도하면서 감정이 소진되는 등, 마치 고슴도치를 끌어안는 것과 같은 양상의 어려움을 겪고 있었다. 그리고 교사들이 생활지도의 어려움에 대응하기 위해 사용하는 전략에 따라, 통제적 형태의 `다스림형`과 소통 중심 형태의 `돌봄형`, 그리고 자신감이 부족한 `소심형` 등 3가지로 유형화하였다. 첫째, `다스림형`은 학생들을 자신의 통제 하에 두려는 경향이 강하게 나타나는 유형으로, 권위적인 반면, 대화를 통해 관계를 개선하려는 시도는 소극적이었다. 둘째, `돌봄형`은 대화를 유도하면서 엄마처럼 학생들을 돌보는 경향이 두드러지는 유형으로, 학생들과의 상호작용이 대부분 활발하게 나타나고 있었다. 셋째, `소심형`은 지도에 소극적인 태도를 보이는 유형으로, 질서를 잡기 위한 엄격함의 정도에 약한 면을 보였다. 교사들은 이와 같은 3가지 유형으로 구분된 자신만의 생활지도 스타일을 구축하고 있었으며, 힘들지만 학생들이 변화를 보일 때 보람을 느끼며 각자교사로서의 여유를 찾고 있었다. The purpose of this study was to explore secondary school teachers` difficulty on student guidance and reaction to it. To achieve this purpose, this study analyzed data gathered through interview using Grounded Theory. As a result, it was shown that central phenomenon was `difficulty of student guidance: hugging hedgehog. Teachers felt limitation because of unchanging student and happening occurring outside of the school. And they suffered from worry about balance between autonomy and order, as well as exhaustion of emotion in guidance their students who are in adolescence time. As responding to this phenomenon, it was shown that `governing type`, `caring type` and `timid type` were stereotyped as teachers` interaction strategies to cope with difficulty of student guidance. Based on the review, findings and implication are discussed.
