HA-PLGA Nanoparticles for Improved Transdermal Delivery of Minoxidil

Minoxidil is one of widely used drugs in alopecia treatment. However, for MXD administration, the skin must be applied in the form of solution, resulting in low transdermal delivery efficiency and additional side effects. In this study, we prepared poly(Lactide-co-Glycolide) grafted hyaluronate (HA-PLGA) nanoparticles(NPs) as transdermal delivery carrier of minoxidil using W/O/W emulsion method and evaluated the feasibility of NPs for alopecia treatment. The NPs are characterized by DLS, TEM and UV-Vis spectrum. They showed the spherical core-shell structure and exhibited sufficient loading efficiency as well as sustained release of drug in HA-PLGA NPs. By in vitro cellular uptake and cell viability test, we could confirm that NPs were uptaken into the cells and didn’t show any significant cytotoxicity. In addition, NPs could be successfully delivered into the skin through skin penetration test. With these results, our HA-PLGA NPs are suitable for transdermal delivery of minoxidil.
Hyaluronic acid Hydrogel with Gradient Mechanical Properties for Tissue Engineering

Control over the mechanical properties of hydrogels is of key importance to enable various cell-hydrogel interactions. Natural tissues and organs exhibit gradient physical cues depending on the depth or location and it regulates various cellular behaviors such as proliferation, differentiation, and migration during development, inflammation, and wound healing. However conventional hydrogels have a homogeneous environment with an isotropic distribution limiting complete mimicking of the natural extracellular matrix (ECM). In this work, we report hydrogel with gradient mechanical properties using hyaluronic acid which is a natural polymer and an excellent candidate for use in tissue engineering due to its excellent biocompatibility and bio-functions. We successfully prepared the gradient hydrogel via photocrosslinking method and the gradient hydrogel was characterized and assessed the feasibility of tissue engineering application.
가족 기능과 유아의 사회적 적응 및 행동문제에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to find out the relationship among family function, young children's social adaptation and behavior problems. The subjects were 230 mothers and 20 teachers of children (6 to 7 years old) in childhood education center in Seoul and kyoug-gi Province. And for the each research problem, t verification, one-way ANOVA, and two-way ANOVA were used. Results of this study are as follow: First, There was a significant difference in the social adaptation and behavior problems of young children according to their sex. The boys had higher social adaptation and lower behavior problems than the girls. Second, There was difference in young children's social adaptation according to the level of family cohesion and flexibility. Young children from the family with low cohesion and flexibility tend not to be social adaptation. Third, There was difference in young children's behavior problems according to the level of family cohesion and flexibility. It shows that young children from the family with low cohesion and flexibility are more troublesome in general behavior problems. Forth, there is no supportive result that there is interaction between young children's sex and family function about social adaptation and behavior problems.
