Background and Objectives : In general, ambulatory 24-hour pH monitoring is considered the current gold standard for larynogopharyngeal reflux(LPR). There is no validated instrument whose purpose is to document the physical finding and severity of laryngopharyngeal reflux. The purposes of this study are to revaluate the validity and reliability of the reflux finding score(RFS) and to quantify laryngoscopic findings using reflux finding score. Material and Methods : Thirty-three LPR patients confirmed by dual-probe pH monitoring and thirty patients of control were selected. The RFS was documented for each patient with telescopic laryngoscopy before treatment. For test-retest intraobserver reliability assessment, a blinded laryngologists determined the RFS on two separate occasions. To evaluate interobserver reliability assessment, the RFS was determined by t재 different blinded laryngologists. Results : The mean age of the cohort with pH-documented LPR was 45.8 years and the mean RFS was 11.4. The mean age of cotrol subjects was 52 years and the mean RFS was 5.4. The mean RFS for laryngologist no. 1 was 10.8 at the initial screening and 10.9 at the repeat evaluation. The mean FRS for laryngologist no.2 was 11.1 at the intial test and 10.9 at the repeat evaluation. The correlation coefficient for interobserver variability was 0.93 and intraobserver variability was 0.94. Conclusion : The RFS demonstrates excellent inter-and introaobserver reproducibility and is helpful for quantifying laryngeal finding in LPR. We can be 95% certain that an individual with a RFS greater than 7 has LPR.

Dieser Artikel untersucht Schellings Kunstphilosophie und Kandinskys Theorie der abstrakten Kunst in Ansehung der Musik und Malerlerei. In Schellings Kunstphilosophie werden aus der Perspecktive des Absoluten die realen Momente der Musik in die idealen Momenten der Malerei überführt, wodurch sich auf beiden Seiten das Verhältnis von absoluter und relativer Indifferenz ergibt. Da andererseits der Klang der Musik für Kamdimsky eng mit der Farbe der Malerei verbunden ist, verwandelt die abstrakte Malerei das Musikalische in ein Malerisches, und die Harmonie der Farben zeigt die gleiche Wirkung als Symphonie wie die Harmonie von Klang. Einerseits haben Schelling und Kandinsky etwas gleichsam, indem sie den Geist des Künstlers betonen. Andererseits besteht aber auch ein deutlicher Unterschied zwischen Schellings Kunst als Philosph und Kandinskys Kunst als Künstler. Zusammenfassend kann gesagt werden, dass Kandinskys Theorie der Kunst, von Schellings Kunstphilosophie aus gesehen, den Weg für eine wahre Kunstphilosophie in der abstraken Kunst eröffnet hat.

Three different kinds of recycled rubbers were blended with a butadiene rubber with the ratio of 6 to 4 and measured their properties. The three rubbers prepared from different particle sizes seemed to have no effect on various properties of ball. Two different processes, however, for ball making were found to be critical for the diameter and degree of deformation of ball. A curing process with a quenching system was determined to provide a higher stability in both size and deformation of ball than the one without cooling.

A precision displacement measuring system is proposed, which can detect the 3-DOF translational motions of precision positioning devices. The optical system, which is composed of two diode-laser sources and two quadratic PSDs, is adapted to detect the position of the spherical reflector usually mounted on the platform of positioning devices. Each of the laser beams from diode-laser sources is reflected at the highly reflective surface of the sphere; hence, the 3-dimensional position of the sphere causes the directional change of the reflected beams, which is detected by the PSDs. In this paper, we define the relationships between the output values of the two PSDs and the 3-DOF translational motions of the sphere. Based on a deduced measurement model, we perform measurement simulation and evaluate the performance of the proposed measurement system: linearity, sensitivity, measuring range, and measurement error. The results show that the proposed measuring method is very useful for the measurement of the precision displacement of 3-DOF micro motions.
