      • HepG2 cell에서 quercetin의 HO-1 발현을 통한 mitochondria의 생합성 유도 효과에 관한 연구

        Flavonoids show diverse bioactivities, such as anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-viral. Quercetin is one of the flavonoids present in a wide range of plants, especially onions and consumed all over the world. Recently, it is known that quercetin induces mitochondrial biogenesis in vivo and in vitro. However, detail mechanism of these actions remains unknown. We investigated quercetin's effects on mitochondrial biogenesis in HepG2 cells, and determined the mechanisms involved. We found that quercetin treatment induced the expression of mitochondrial biogenesis activators, $PGC-1{\alpha}$, NRF-1, TFAM, and mitochondrial proteins, cytochorome c and complex IV (COXIV). Moreover, amount of mitochondrial DNA was also increased by quercetin. Quercetin has been known to induce heme oxygenase (HO)-1 in several types of cells. Here, we found quercetin induces HO-1, and inhibition of HO-1 or CO, which is product of HO-1, decreased quercetin-induced mitochondrial biogenesis such as induction of $PGC-1{\alpha}$, NRF-1, TFAM, cytochorome c, COXIV, and mitochondrial DNA. These findings imply that quercetin can increase mitochondrial biogenesis via HO-1/CO system. High glucose results in dysfunction of mitochondria biogenesis. In the present study, 25 mM glucose decreased mitochondrial biogenesis and this damage was restored by quercetin. Conversely, inhibition of HO-1 or CO inhibited quercetin-induced mitochondrial biogenesis rescue. These results suggest that quercetin enhances mitochondrial biogenesis via HO-1/CO system and hence, can rescue mitochondria from damage by high glucose.

        절차적 텍스쳐링(procedural texturing) 방법은 프로그래밍 가능하게 설계되어 생산성이 높고 유연(flexible)하다는 장점이 있다. 그러나 설계가 복잡하고 프로그래밍에 익숙하지 않은 일반 사용자들이 사용하기 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 프로그래밍 과정 없이 대화형 인터페이스를 통해 디자인하고 이를 쉐이딩 언어(shading language)로 변환해 주는 시스템을 제안한다. 사용자의 디자인 과정으로 여러 개의 기본 노드(node)와 관련된 연산으로 표현되며, 시스템에서 이를 변환하여 텍스쳐를 기술하는 쉐이딩 언어를 생성한다. 제안된 시스템은 일반 사용자에게 절차적인 텍스쳐링에 대한 직관적이고 유연한 인터페이스를 제공하며, 기본적인 기하 및 텍스쳐 요소(element)를 조합하여 다양한 텍스쳐를 효과적으로 생성하도록 한다.

        심층신경망을 이용한 조음 예측 모형 개발

        Speech inversion (acoustic-to-articulatory mapping) is not a trivial problem, despite the importance, due to the highly non-linear and non-unique nature. This study aimed to investigate the performance of Deep Neural Network (DNN)compared to that of traditional Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to address the problem. The Wisconsin X-ray Microbeam Database was employed and the acoustic signal and articulatory pellet information were the input and output in the models. Results showed that the performance of ANN deteriorated as the number of hidden layers increased. In contrast, DNN showed lower and more stable RMS even up to 10 deep hidden layers, suggesting that DNN is capable of learning acoustic-articulatory inversion mapping more efficiently than ANN.

        동녕부의 군사적 기능과 1290년 고려 북계지역의 반환

        This study examines the meaning of the abolition of Dongnyeongbu in 1290 and the return of Goryeo in the Bukgye region. The contents of this study are as follows. First, Dong-nyeong-bu was established for the stable stationing of the Yuan’s army, which had been deployed in the Bukgye area since 1269. This function is related to the geographical advantage that the Northern Territory region as a traditional military zone of Goryeo can quickly respond to the business of Goryeo and Japan while checking the possibility of the separation of Goryeo. Therefore, it can be said that the Dong-nyeong-bu was an instrument that supported the functions of the Bukgye region. Second, Kublai did not allow the Yuan troops stationed in the Northern Territory to move south. This suggests that Dong-nyeong-bu was not the only encroaching existence of the Goryeo dynasty. In other words, Dongnyeong-bu was the opening site of Garrison farm, which was deployed in the Goryeo area, and was a rival to Goryeo in its nature, but at the same time, it was also an opponent who shared and shared the burden of war with Goryeo. Third, in the process of preparing for the second Japanese expedition, it is related to the establishment of a unified command system, such as when King Chungnyeol ascended to the throne of Jeong-dong-hang-seong and absorbed the military power of the commander-in-chief. The military function of Dongnyeongbu as the hinterland of the former Dong-dong-won-soo-bu was also absorbed and integrated into Jeong-dong-hang-seong. Fourth, not only the encroachment on the infrastructure in Dong-nyeongbu, but also the power structure in Dong-nyeong-bu was made extensively. In the end, the abolition of Dong-nyeong-bu and the return of the Goryeo Bukgye region can be understood as the absorption of the assets and functions of the Dong-nyeong-bu, not merely the return of the territory.
