        Western-style archery contributes significantly to international amity, to nongove-rnmental diplomacy and to the enhancement of national glory. In addition, itis a useful adjustment in paysical training in our national defense. Technic without strength of body and mind may not win in a contest. The development of physical training and the economy can be an indicator of national power in theinternational community. So it is necessary to teach archery by stages, considering the real and national aspects. to cultivate the personality and nature though the analysis of necessary conditions in archery instruction, to determine the best way of body and mind development by training for college women's and to find worthwhile recreation, we analysed the following subjects: (1)The physical power and characteristics which are neessary for men in archery. (2)The promotion of archery byexamining the difficulties(obstruction factors) in archery activities. Under the above headings, we distributed questionnaires about archery activities from March 1, 1985 to April 30, 1986 among college women in Departments of Physical Training (70 women), French Literature, etc(280 women). The content of the survey follow: (1)Research concerning to western-style archery and analysis of interest and participation of western-style archery activities (2)Analysis of understanding in western-style archery: Analysis of recognition in western0style archery, training method of that and analysis of westernstyle archery effectiveness (3)Analysis of obstrnction factors to the westernstyle archery function: Analysis of obstruction factors in physical training, in hobby activities, and in body and mind cultivation. (4)Research of western-style archery training method: Study of the training way and analysis of the western-style archery effectiveness We showed the result of this research by percentages. For the promotion of this study, we suggest the following: (1)Characteristic of Archery: the physical, mental characteristics and that of instruments (2)Effectiveness of Archery: the 2 effectiveness of body and mind training, of beauty and health, and of generalization of archery (3)Factors of Archery Obstruction (4)Basic Body Strength: the necessity of body training, archery gymnastics in training and the implied effectiveness of archery instructions and the methods of generalization For the effectiveness of Western-style archery, we conclude and propose the further propagation of Western-style in archery in theory and practice

        임펠러 Flow cut 적용을 통한 원심압축기의 임펠러-디퓨져 간의 단매칭 개선

        This paper presents a series of performance and stability assessments procedure of a centrifugal compressor in a micro gas turbine by applying flow cut method to the impeller stage. Numerical simulation results revealed that the impeller stage in the compressor has a high flow capacity compared to the diffuser stage. It leads to flow recirculation and corresponding flow blockage near the trailing edge of the impeller. It is assumed that such a flow structure deteriorates the stability characteristic of the whole compressor stage. Based on one dimensional analysis results, flow cut method has been applied to the impeller to reduce the flow capacity. The flow cut method appeared to be effective to reduce the flow capacity and improve the flow stability inside the impeller. The amount of flow cut height was found to be 10~15% of the impeller height along the meriodional direction.

        소형 터보샤프트 엔진의 구성품 설계

        Aerodynamic design of turbomachines inside a small turboshaft engine has been performed. The engine is a twin spool turboshaft engine, which consists of a gas generator and axial type power turbine followed by. The gas generator consists of a centrifugal compressor-radial turbine spool. To minimize specific fuel consumption of the engine, heat exchange occurs between compressor outlet air and power turbine exhaust gas. To supply sufficiently decelerated and radially de-swirled flow to the heat exchanger, two-staged cascade diffuser was introduced at the compressor diffuser row. Mass flow rate is controlled by the radial turbine nozzle throat. The design results showed that aerodynamic performances are higher than design requirements. For this reason, stage matching between adjacent components is required. In this study, stage matching between the radial turbine and the power turbine was considered. CFD result revealed that flow capacity of the axial turbine is high for adequate stage matching, so flow path has been adjusted to produce required power both from radial and axial turbines.

        소아 비만과 관련된 대사 이상을 예측하기 위한 체지방률의 절단값: 2007년 소아 청소년 신체발육 표준치를 기준으로

        Backgroud: Body mass index (BMI) for gender and age and percentage-weight-for-height (PWH) for gender and height have been frequently used to diagnose childhood obesity. However, few studies have examined the optimal cutoff of percent body fat (%BF) to predict metabolic abnormalities in obese children. Methods: One thousand fi fteen obese children aged 10 to 15 years were enrolled in this study. The %BF cutoff values were calculated by ROC analysis for metabolic abnormalities. We also calculated %BF cutoff values corresponding to a BMI of > 85th or 95th percentile for gender and age and a PWH of > 120% for gender and height based on the 2007 Korean children and adolescents growth standard chart. To defi ne metabolic abnormalities in children, we used the criteria of metabolic syndrome recommended by International Diabetes Federation consensus for children and adolescents. Results: The %BF cutoff corresponding to the group having more than one metabolic abnormality in this study population were 38.4% (sensitivity 40.1%, specifi city 84.4%) in total, 38.4% (sensitivity 35.4%, specifi city 84.8%) in boys and 39.5% (sensitivity 38.9%, specifi city 90.9%) in girls. The %BF cutoff values corresponding to a BMI ≥ 95 percentile were 38.1% (sensitivity 50.5%, specifi city 72.7%), a BMI ≥ 85 percentile were 34.5% (sensitivity 69.3%, specifi city 74.2%), and a PWH ≥ 120% were 36.4% (sensitivity 72.3%, specifi city 64.4%) in total. Conclusion: The optimal cutoff value of percent body fat to predict metabolic abnormalities in obese children may be 38.4% (boys 38.4, girls 39.5%) and we suggest 34.5% as a cutoff value of %BF for screening childhood obesity. 연구배경: 소아비만의 진단은 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 백분 위수나 표준체중에 대한 성별, 신장별 체중 백분율이 흔히 사 용하고 있으나 소아 비만으로 인한 대사 이상을 예측하기 위 한 체지방률의 기준에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 방법: 학교 신체검사에서 비만으로 판정받은 10-15세의 1,015명을 대상으로 2007년 소아 및 청소년 표준 성장도표와 2007년 국제당뇨병학회의 소아 대사증후군 진단기준을 이용 하여 Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve를 통해 대 사 이상의 위험을 조기에 발견하기 위한 적절한 체지방률의 절단점을 알아보았으며, 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 85 및 95백 분위수, 신장별 체중 백분율 120% 이상에 해당되는 체지방률 의 절단값을 구하였다. 결과: 대사 증후군의 위험인자가 1개 이상인 경우에 해당하 는 체지방률의 절단값은 38.4%였으며 민감도 40.1%, 특이도 84.4%였다. 성별로 남아의 체지방의 절단값은 38.4%, 여아는 39.5%이었다. 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 95백분위수 이상에 해 당하는 체지방률의 절단값은 38.1%였으며(민감도와 특이도 각각 55.1%, 72.7%), 85백분위수 이상에 해당하는 체지방률의 절단값은 34.5% (민감도와 특이도 각각 69.3%, 74.2%)였다. 표 준체중에 대한 성별, 신장별 체중 백분율 120% 이상에 해당되 는 체지방률의 절단값은 34.6%였으며 민감도와 특이도는 각 각 72.3%, 64.4%였다. 결론: 소아 비만으로 인한 대사 이상을 조기에 발견하기 위한 체지방률의 절단값으로는 38.4% (남아 38.4, 여아 39.5%)가, 소 아 비만의 선별검사로는 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 85백분위 수 이상 또는 성별, 신장별 체중 백분율 120% 이상에 해당하는 체지방률의 절단값인 34.5%가 적절하다고 생각된다.

        Multi-stage turbocharger system analysis method for high altitude UAV engine

        A multi-stage turbocharger system analysis method has been presented for a hydrogen fueled internal combustion engine targeted forHigh altitude long endurance UAV (HALE UAV), of which cruising altitude is 60000 ft. To utilize an internal combustion engine as apropulsion system of a HALE UAV, proper inlet pressure boost system such as a series of turbochargers should be ready, which makesengine performance less sensitive to flight altitude. In this study, to boost rarefied intake air pressure up to 1.7 bar to avoid early ignitionof hydrogen and to produce required power from engine, we used a boost system which consists of three-staged turbocharger accompaniedby intercooler to reduce compressed air temperature. To analyze multi-stage turbocharger performance at the cruising altitude, weestablished an explicit one-dimensional analysis method by matching required power between compressors and turbines. Then adequateturbochargers were searched for from commercially available models based on performance analysis results. One-dimensional analysiswas also applied from sea level to the cruising altitude to decide turbocharger operating lines were located within each turbocharger operatingranges.

      • `94 대학수학능력시험의 문제점 분석

        The purpose of this study is to analyse the problems of College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT) which was taken two times in 1993. The sample for this study consisted of 387 twelfth grade students of a public high school of the Gumi area. These students took the CSAT in 1993. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows: First, The CSAT was in the mixed form of the academic achievement test and the academic aptitude test. It tends to be the academic achievement test. Second, The results of the paired-comparisons t-test showed that the average difference was significantly different at the. 001 level in scores on the first CSAT and the second CSAT. Third, t-test showed that the average scores for human knowledge course and natural science course were not significantly different at the. 05 level.
