동한만을 중심으로 한 동해 북서해역의 계절별 및 연별 표층해황 특성을 고찰하였다. 동한만의 계절별 해황은 춘계에 동한난류수의 세력이 우세하다가 하리에 북한한류의 강화와 더불어 냉수역이 발달하는 형과, 봄부터 냉수의 세력이 탁월하다가 여름이 되면서 동한난류수의 영향을 받는 형의 두가지 유형을 보인다. 경년변동 특성도 동한난류와 북한한류간의 흐름의 상대적 세기와 유로에 따라 4가지 유형으로 분류된다. 각각의 경우, 동한만 부근에는 대ㆍ소규모의 저기압성 냉수과 혹은 고기압성 난수과가 발달하는 것이 한 특징이다. Seasonal and interannual variations of the oceanic condition in the surface layer of the northwestern East Sea are described. The seasonal variation shows two types in the water circulation. In the first type the East Korean Warm Current (EUC) Water are dominant in the East Korean Bay in spring, while in summer the cold water region develops as the North Korean Cold Current (NKCC) becomes strong. In the second type the cold water appears in the East Korean Bay from spring, but in summer the EKWC comes close to the coast, thus influencing the coastal cold water region. The characteristics of the interannual variation can be classified into 4 types according to the relative strength between the EKWC and the NKCC, and the paths of these currents. In each case various sizes of cyclonic cold eddies and/or anti-cyclonic warm eddies are formed frequently in the East Korean Bay.

To investigate the possibility of ethanol production from Jerusalem artichoke tubers (Helianthus tuberosus L.), various yeast strains were evaluated for their potential in metabolizing carbohydrate from Jerusalem artichoke tubers to ethanol. Among them, Kluyveromyces fragilis CBS 1555 showed the highest inulase activity and ethanol fermentability. On the batch kinetic: analysis, K. fragilis also showed the highest in parameters for ethanol production and substrate utilization, although lower than Saccharomyces cerevisiae Y-10 in cell mass yield and ethanol production yield.

Plasma is generated by ionizing of neutral gas molecules, resulting in a mixture of energy particles, including electrons and ions. Recent progress in the understanding of non-thermal atmospheric plasma has led to applications in biomedicine. Studies investigating the interaction of plasma jets with living cells have shown eradication of pathogens, blood coagulation, and the ablation of cultured cancer cells. The effects of cold atmospheric plasma are thus not due to heat, but to active species, mainly oxygen/hydroxyl radicals and nitric oxide, generated in the plasma or in the tissue brought into contact with the plasma. Plasma treatment offers the possibility of modifying tissues at the cellular level and removing diseased sections without inflammation and damage, as well as suppressing infections. Our study showed that non-thermal atmospheric plasma induced growth inhibition and cell death in cancer cells. This study supports the hypothesis that non-thermal atmospheric plasma constitutes a new biologic tool with the potential for therapeutic applications that modulate cell structure and function. EDI와 Internet 등 컴퓨터 네트워크를 활용한 전자상거래가 확산되면서 무역거래의 전자화가 급속히 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 무역 거래의 전자화와 관련하여 무역계약의 전자화, 무역서류의 전자화 및 무역결제의 전자화에 대하여 현황과 문제점을 살펴보고, 향후 무역거래의 전자화를 위한 과제에 대하여 살펴보았다. 현재 전세계적인 무역거래의 전자화가 추진되기 위해서는 전자거래와 관련한 국제적인 법제도의 통일화가 요구되며, 또한 전자거래를 뒷받침하기 위한 정보인프라의 확충과 더불어 국가간, 지역간의 정보격차를 해소하는 것이 무엇보다 요구된다. 그리고 현재 무역거래의 전자화를 추진하는 많은 주체와 실험프로젝트들이 실시되고 있는데 이들 시스템간의 상호호환성을 확보는 것이 중요하며, 또한 무역거래에 관여하고 있는 많은 중소기업들이 참여할 수 있도록 경제적인 안전한 시스템이 구축되어야 할 것이다. Electronic commerce that uses computer network such as EDI and Internet is growing rapidly in international trade. The implementation of electronic commerce raises some new legal and institutional problems. So it is necessary for us to prepare proper alternatives. This paper examines relevant problems which can be happened by using the electronic transaction in international trade, and proposes proper alternatives which can promote electronic trade. In order to take full advantage of electronic trade, following problems should be solved. First, unification of international law and institutional system which is connected with electronic trade should be established. Second, relevant informational and technological infrastructure should be expanded, and information gap between areas should be eliminated. Third, mutual compatibility between information systems should be guaranteed in electronic trade, and economical and safe electronic trade system should be constructed.
