        전병기 한국화이트헤드학회 2006 화이트헤드 연구 Vol.0 No.13

        This paper is the study of the meaning of consentient set. The concept of consentient set is very important to a study of historical development of Whitehead's thought. The term, consentient set, is not that of mathematics and that of physics. It is Whitehead's technical term with which he criticizes Maxwell's equation and scientific relativities (Newton's relativity and Einstein's relativity). In this critique, he set a domain in which the traditional science holds. The concept of Einstein's ‘event’ is analyzed by the notion of consentient set. This analysis shows that he developed the notion of consentient set into that of togetherness and that of organism. Einstein's events, of which the world is composed, are not coincident in time. This fact is contradictory with the concepts of togetherness and organism. Thus Whitehead objects the signal theory by which the world is formed. 본 논문은 일치집합의 의미를 고찰한다. 일치 집합이 갖는 역사적 위상에 대한 고찰은 화이트헤드 사상의 발전을 조명하는데 있어서 중요한 자리를 차지한다. “일치집합 consentient set”이란 용어는 화이트헤드의 사상이 수학적인 단계에서 과학적인 단계로 그리고 다시 형이상학적인 단계로 발전했다고 보았을 때, 과학적인 단계에서 나타나는 용어이다. 이 용어는 전통과학을 그의 형이상학에 비판적으로 수용할 때 전통과학이 성립하는 범위를 규정하는 역할을 한다.이 개념에 의한 아인슈타인의 사건 개념의 분석을 통해서 그 의미를 살펴보았다. 이 분석은 일치집합이란 용어는 일차적으로 공재성이라는 용어로 그리고 유기체라는 개념으로 발전하게 된다는 것을 보여 준다. 이 분석에서 세계를 구성하는 아인슈타인의 사건들은 시간적으로 일치coincident 하지 않음을 보여준다. 이러한 사실은 유기체 혹은 공재성이라는 사실에 위배되는 것이다. 이러한 모순 때문에 화이트헤드는 신호 이론을 부정하는 것으로 보인다.

        At now we cannot the definition of a human beings. The problem of the definition of a human being is the same definition of the reproduced tire. The reproduced tire is a tire, which is adequate to some car. A human being produced from cloning is a human being. At now what we can do is classification of a human being according to the identity of that being. The identity is the character of individual being in universe and it is the same age of the universe in which the individual being exist. A human being have two poles, one is the mental pole and the other is physical pole. In cloning the identity of mental pole is conserved strongly or strictly, whereas that of mental pole is terminated or conserved very weakly. Such unbalanced period have been started and will produce the harmonic human being and the mechanical human being. One is produced by God's requisite and the other is produced by man's requisite. In the later product we will see the reaction of mental pole to physical pole or that of physical pole to mental pole. This reaction will issue in the identity of that being and rearrange the position of the product in the universe. The disaster is in your mind!

        Molecular cloning and expression analysis of Bro-GS-elong and Bro-myro from Brassica oleracea

        The elongation factor GSL-Elong and myrosinase, which are essential for sulforaphane biosynthesis, were cloned for the first time from broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica) and were designated as Bro-GS-elong and Bro-myro. Sequence analysis of Bro-GS-elong and Bro-myro revealed that its full length cDNA was 1787 bp long and included a 1464 bp open reading frame encoding and 1846 bp long and included a 1647bp open reading frame encoding, respectively. Bro-GS-elong and Bro-myro seem to be existed as members of multigene families in the broccoli genome and to be influenced by abiotic stresses and plant development. Bro-myro was preferentially expressed in reproductive organs, but the transcript levels of Bro-GS-elong were surpassed in vegetative organs. Both Bro-GS-elong and Bro-myro were strongly expressed at the period of sprouting, this result appeared to imply that Bro-GS-elong and Bro-myro may perform an important function in the early development on the quickly growing tissues and organs. The highest transcript levels of Bro-GS-elong and Bro-myro by MeJA treatment implied that glucosinolate–myrosinase system was primarily activated by jasmonates signaling. The results provide the basis for the glucosinolate–myrosinase system and the biotechnological manipulation of sulforaphane, a useful functional substance, in B. oleracea var. italica.

        The equality and the discrimination are very important concepts in scientific knowledge. The aim of this thesis is to elaborate the relation of equality to discrimination. What we aware of is the presented world which contains ourselves as natural element and is passing as an event do pass, that is an event. On the percipient what is presented world is complexity of many elements as objects. In other word the percipient conceive the external nature as compund of objects which are posited in his sense-awareness. The organ of sense require a smallest period of time to recognize the presented world as external nature. Also it is ontological principle of a individual thing. These are the basis of the time and the space which are the important concept of the traditional science. Within the lapse of time whic is required by organ of sense no one can discriminate spatio-temporal elements. The process of awareness during this period of time is defined as microscopic process. Here we do not deal with that process. We confine ourselves to the region which is the continuum as formed macroscopically. In this sense we define two region such as in the thesis, one is the region of recognition and the other is the region of object. The two regions are different in the sense that the former is based on the passing nature and the later is based on the not passing nature. The relation of the equality to the discrimination correspond the relation of the region of object to the region of recognition. Thus the judgement of equality os performed in the region of object, and the process of the judgement of equality is macroscopic process which is tranformed into scientific metriccal unit.

        Here we considered the physical concept and the concepts of natural science of A.N. Whitehead. In that consideration, we define ontologi-cal boundary and cognitional boundary. The ontological boundary de-rived from the macroscopic world, the concept of classical boundary derived from the microscopic world, the concepts of modern physics, and the struc-ture of cognition. The concept of boundary is derived by the percep-tion and the direction of cognition. This paper treated the "reflection","exterior reduction", and "in-terior reduction". The reflection of ontological boundary to itself oc-cur when the boundary is sharp, and the remain two of three occur when the boundary has broaden width with time and space.The boundary which has spatial and temporal width is called event. In thisarea, the reduction is made. The Reflection : In the case of that the ontological boundary reflected in itself boundary, there is no cognitional structure and under that condition time and space will be abstract, there are only the isolated nature and the human body connected the god. The isolated nature is static and classical physics. The Exterior Reduction : If the ontological boundary extend over the cognitional boundary and the direction of cognition direct to macroscopic world, the process is called exterior reduction. In that case some part of the cognitional structure is reflected on micro-scopic world which isone boundary and compose of the macroscopic world. The Interior Reduction : If the cognitional boundary extend over the ontological boundary and the direction of cognition direct to cognitional structure, the process is called interior reduction. In that case all part of the cognitional structure is reflected on itself. The reflection, exterior reduction, and interior reduction all pro-duce static structure, if we ourself are connected with the static structure, we must to consider the dynamic structure. What is that?

This structure of scientific revolution is static. The dynamical property of scientific revolution belong to scientific cognition. We must consider scientific cognition as object, this is considerd as scienctifical variation.
